Like, it makes me wonder, does he ever read the news papers when he finally does go into a city? Like being so far out in he wilds, I only imagine the Teifling caravan and whatever news he gets from the animals keeps him up on recent events.

It was honestly a shocker that the only ones to notice something was off were Minsc and Tav's patron (or Mizora, if you play as Wyll). Since BG3 was my introduction to Minsc and Jaheira, this seemingly dumb as a rock dude having such good preception really caught me off guard

That’s because its all the same mo-cap footage and then they just put the different character size/shape/clothes etc on top of the “base model” (Astarions voice actor does a lot of the mo-cap work in this game and many others)

I ended up doing so- no mod required. I accidently non-lethal knocked her out in the initial fight with her, so then she was in Moonrise. (Which was funny because I'd completely looted her so...) She and Halsin will never interact and in some camps their tents are in the same place, but Ive still had both in the same party at the same time.
I sent Halsin in my first run because my [Baldurian] Tav thought it'd be good for him to immerse himself in the customs lol, he seemed keen! Minsc laughing with that goofy smile on his face, while completely covered in blood is so fucking funny c':
Cool tip: If you play as Wyll (or a Pact Warlock, for that matter), your patron actually tells you that Dribbles is a shapeshifter. When the dog attacks, you will actually see it coming and won't get a big chonk bitten outta you :)
How in the Hells is Halsin 300+ years old, yet doesn't know when someone's telling jokes? And he has stage-fright? As the leader of a druidic grove and someone who didn't think twice to run into the damn Shadowfell? I love this guy, man xD

I'd always seen the scene of Astarion floating around but the poster always stopped it right before the shift, so imagine my shock when I finally got to this scene in my playthrough only to have Astarion get mauled
Best thing about Shadowheart and Lae'zel in this scenario is that normally companions would either have +1 or -1 for their approval with each of the two dialogue you use to send them up. If you send Shadowheart up, Lae'zel's approval will increase by 2 each time, and conversely if you send Lae'zel up, Shadowheart's approval will increase by 2 each time as well. They really like seeing each other suffer
Despite Minsc not having the brightest mind out there, he surprised me when he noticed there is something wrong with the clown. As someone who played Archfey Warlock, your patron notices it as well (unsure about Fiend and Great Old One patrons) and warns you that there is evil intent should you pass a hard insight check (with advantage since your patron aids you). I think you won't get this dialloge if you are the Dark Urge though, since you will have thoughts of murder instead of your patron warning you about the clown. Also, it is funny at the circus' entrance that your Archfey patron feels the fey magic, wanting you to get in. When you are barred from entrance, they throw a childish tantrum and helps you to deceive your way in by saying to better let you in lest they incur the wrath of the Seelie Court 😂 faeries will be faeries I guess.
@@BlueEyedBrunette They don't really talk to you, it's just the narrator telling how they feel and if possible, ask something of you (For example, I read that someone played Great Old One and I think they asked the player to use the Mirror of Loss. I might have misremember so someone correct me on that). Playing a warlock from a roleplay perspective is a bit of a disappointment but also understandable given how big the game already is. Besdies, Wyll's personal questline already covers it. Still though, having played Archfey Patron, there are some lack of interactions that disappointed me. The biggest one is when you face Ethel. Hags are malicious fey creatures so I was curious if your patron had some warning towards her but no, nothing at all. Another is if your patron reacts when you free Dolly or not in act 2, still nothing. I can't speak for Fiend and Great Old One patrons, but I can see the Fiend patron having reactions when you encounter Mizora and Raphael.
@@natg4984 Minsc's mental stats are low which is expected given he's quite the lovable dimwit (he has 6 WIS), which you can check when he's an enemy before recuiting him in the sewers (as playable, the game sets his stats to what it recomends you for a ranger, which is 15 I believe). I think it was just his guts, or rather, Boo, telling him there's something wrong with the clown. The man is all about smiting evil, so I guess it makes sense he can feel them despite not being the brightest mind?

I like how the only characters that seem to like Dribbles are the ones who are actually from Baldur's Gate.

I'd always seen the scene of Astarion floating around but the poster always stopped it right before the shift, so imagine my shock when I finally got to this scene in my playthrough only to have Astarion get mauled
Best thing about Shadowheart and Lae'zel in this scenario is that normally companions would either have +1 or -1 for their approval with each of the two dialogue you use to send them up.
If you send Shadowheart up, Lae'zel's approval will increase by 2 each time, and conversely if you send Lae'zel up, Shadowheart's approval will increase by 2 each time as well.
They really like seeing each other suffer

Despite Minsc not having the brightest mind out there, he surprised me when he noticed there is something wrong with the clown. As someone who played Archfey Warlock, your patron notices it as well (unsure about Fiend and Great Old One patrons) and warns you that there is evil intent should you pass a hard insight check (with advantage since your patron aids you). I think you won't get this dialloge if you are the Dark Urge though, since you will have thoughts of murder instead of your patron warning you about the clown.
Also, it is funny at the circus' entrance that your Archfey patron feels the fey magic, wanting you to get in. When you are barred from entrance, they throw a childish tantrum and helps you to deceive your way in by saying to better let you in lest they incur the wrath of the Seelie Court 😂 faeries will be faeries I guess.
Minsc is high in wisdom? so maybe? also heard all the patrons notice it there is a video about it, it is funny
I didn't know you patrons talk to you as Warlocks! Oh no, now I'll have to make lots of them TT_TT
@@BlueEyedBrunette They don't really talk to you, it's just the narrator telling how they feel and if possible, ask something of you (For example, I read that someone played Great Old One and I think they asked the player to use the Mirror of Loss. I might have misremember so someone correct me on that).
Playing a warlock from a roleplay perspective is a bit of a disappointment but also understandable given how big the game already is. Besdies, Wyll's personal questline already covers it.
Still though, having played Archfey Patron, there are some lack of interactions that disappointed me. The biggest one is when you face Ethel. Hags are malicious fey creatures so I was curious if your patron had some warning towards her but no, nothing at all. Another is if your patron reacts when you free Dolly or not in act 2, still nothing.
I can't speak for Fiend and Great Old One patrons, but I can see the Fiend patron having reactions when you encounter Mizora and Raphael.
@@natg4984 Minsc's mental stats are low which is expected given he's quite the lovable dimwit (he has 6 WIS), which you can check when he's an enemy before recuiting him in the sewers (as playable, the game sets his stats to what it recomends you for a ranger, which is 15 I believe).
I think it was just his guts, or rather, Boo, telling him there's something wrong with the clown. The man is all about smiting evil, so I guess it makes sense he can feel them despite not being the brightest mind?
