One thing I've learned in my 60 years. Do not live anywhere close to water or big trees. My home was flooded by the Clinch River in 1977. And I now live in a neighborhood where there are huge trees and they've always made a mess on my property. I'm sorry for what people are going through right now and years to come. I've been there ! And it's horrifying and expensive
Man, I hope you and your home made it through the rest of the storm okay. The country is watching and praying for you all. We are dumbfounded at the lac of help out of dc! We're praying that God and the people fill the gap!
I was nerding out on this things days before it happened, I’m a weirdo though so I like that kinda shit, I was so confused on why everybody was just completely unaware - my theory is that we get a lot of rain all the time and they called for ALOT (hence why I was watching it so close) but it went from a cat 1 - 4 within a short period of time plus in the middle of the night and I think everybody was expecting a cat 1 so they didn’t think about it too hard and most people where expecting to wear a poncho out the door the next morning but nothing crazy, this is completely out of the ordinary for this area and we where so dry this year the first wave of rain just rain all into the creeks so when the hurricane got here the creek was already extremely high
People have to understand that when you live near a river especially in mountain areas this WILL happen eventually. It's sad to see it and scary to live through it. I live in Florida so I'm no stranger to the fear and devastation of a powerful storm. The key is keeping God first, being thankful you still have life and making sure you have plenty of insurance coverage. I can evacuate knowing the only thing I need to worry about is staying safe. My "stuff" is well covered and will be replaced. The real tragedy is most people don't have flood insurance, and a standard homeowner policy will not cover a flood.
After being in Harvey, flooding is the scariest experience you can ever go through. Feel for you. Besure reach out for mental help if you need it. Xoxo ❤
I like your thinking, I can imagine Florida has some more high tech stuff for this or atleast a bunch of sand bags to line the beaches with but we where just completely underprepared
They have those in the mid-west flood plains. It's a giant innertube that goes around a house and gets filled by flood water. They are only big enough to protect a house to about 10-12 feet of water. It won't do anything for a dam, however.
I just want to say I hope everybody is okay and please pay attention to the weather everybody when a hurricane is coming do not wait till it gets there
The flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in NC mountain towns is devastating. It is a stark reminder of the power of nature and the impact it can have on communities. Recovery will take time and effort. What do you think are the first steps these towns should take as they begin rebuilding?
I truly hate to the people and wildlife suffer and losing most if not all their personal possessions. Being resourceful and self reliant is a true value in situations like this. Aid will be there just hang in there and comfort and help each other more than you usually do. One thing I hope people learn is not to live below high water flood line. Jim Rodgers

So glad you didnt get it worse. I thought you were going to have a houseboat!
Man wouldn’t that be something, got beach front property now though 😂
And now you got Milton to deal with.... Good luck stay safe
praying for you and your neighbors
Thank you 🙏
I’m glad you made it out.
I’m in Spartanburg sc. we got hit hard. Not as hard as wnc but it’s bad.
Very fortunate none of the campers were washed away.
Glad to here ur community there survived
Everyone was so unprepared omg😱
The speed of the rushing water is unbelievable.
Why not just leave with the RV???
My prayers go out to every one of you people down there in your area I can't imagine what all you people are going through this s*** is apocalyptic
Shout out to the smoker for staying put. She chose you brother.
MAN BUT ALL MY POST OAK WASHED AWAY 😭
well hope you have made it through , its a mess,, be safe
Hopefully I can bring a light hearted comment by saying I have a really similar truck to yours and I love the red ranger!
So glad your rv made it.
Same, they can be replaced but I’d be screwed if all the stuff in it went bye bye
Dude glad you are safe
Xoxo ❤
This needs some new inventions to set up fast dams..
Like big rubber bags that you can fill with water to set up perimeters.
If I lived there, I would have been gone when they said 33in of rain expected. If you haven't left, get out now! Adequate enough help is not coming.
Yeah, here we are though, sucks I wish the whole side of the state did something different
I just want to say I hope everybody is okay and please pay attention to the weather everybody when a hurricane is coming do not wait till it gets there
Agreed
Hope you all are okay! Just make sure to ask your legislatures what they are doing to help after this.
Crazy . Stay safe guys
Thank you 🙏
Crazy times out there.
Forreal, life up here is so weird right now, it’s like the Wild West
Where is the TVA?
do you ever pan for gold...seems like the perfect time after a flood like this to hit the small creeks that were torn apart.
5:15 😢😢😢 those words 💔💔
the real danger is where that fast flowing river is going :< so glad you are okay
LOL - People that would give a schit about your 'messy' place probably don't watch this type of channel! No worries.
The flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in NC mountain towns is devastating. It is a stark reminder of the power of nature and the impact it can have on communities. Recovery will take time and effort. What do you think are the first steps these towns should take as they begin rebuilding?
WHAT TOWN?
so many people displaced from their homes in nc, and by next month it gets very cold there; praying for uguys!
I truly hate to the people and wildlife suffer and losing most if not all their personal possessions. Being resourceful and self reliant is a true value in situations like this. Aid will be there just hang in there and comfort and help each other more than you usually do. One thing I hope people learn is not to live below high water flood line. Jim Rodgers
Jeez, I hope all those folks made it out.
You saved lives bro
my heart skipped a beat when he slipped holy shit man
@Mineral_dude, I'm really worried about you and your wife. I hope you are okay.

The first weather modification patent was issued in 1891, with the patent number 462,795.
This is legit my recurring nightmare
Stay safe.

The trash floating down is the. Towns up river. The stinky smell it the big ass propane tanks floating by spewing their juice
Technically what you were experiencing was tropical storm Helene.
Thanks 🙄
They have wheels, why didn’t you move them?
That poor dog. 😢 its owners might’ve been killed in the storm. What a horrible experience.
Praying for you Dude God Bless ✝️
That was wild.
