At least you have a house, albeit w/o power. Looks like u still got alot of stuff n that hanger. U did pretty good compared to some ppl that lost literally everything.
It's tough to see everything you have destroyed but you have your life your parents, your home is relatively intact. A lot of people lost everything some their lives.
Screw the comments saying "at least you're ok who cares about personal belongings" Like this is stuff you worked your whole life for. It definitely matters. I'm sorry man, you'll get it all back eventually.
Exactly, and in a situation such as this it's tough to know what to do next with your time. Emotions fly around and can be overwhelming. Glad to see all motors started!! Tough road ahead with getting all equipment airworthy, not to mention the infrastructure rebuild to get clients back. @MarkHuneycutt you and your family are in my prayers! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah the people saying that are the people who have never lost everything they’ve ever owned. Thankfully I’m not in a hard hit state like these people but I have lost everything I’ve owned twice in my life both times due to fire and when I say everything, I mean I didn’t have anything but the clothes I put on that morning, and the pajamas I was wearing that night the second time. I can’t imagine loosing your family and for the ones who survived, them loosing their stuff too. I wish I had the means to get down there and help because I would leave the Maine Canada boarders tonight and come help. If anyone has a suggestion as to how anyone in my situation who doesn’t have funds, could still help from where we are please let me know so I can start, and also spread the word along. Cuz there’s a lot of us like me who want to help and just don’t know how we can from where we are physically and financially.

Thanks Mark. My hanger is across from you at 0A7. Plane and new motorcycle destroyed. I look forward to seeing you guys get in the air again. Amazing you got them all running. Nice work.
I was working at Lock Haven (W.T. Piper Airfield) during the visit from the June 1972 Tropical Storm Agnes. We had 12 feet of water in the hangar. 171 planes were there and suffered varying degrees of inundation. So I was involved in the clean up of the facility and then we got to cleaning up some of the planes. The FAA said that Piper could not sell any planes that were damaged, to be certified to fly in this country, but planes that had been test flown could be repaired/restored for export only. So we sent one Aztec to Africa and around 20 to South America. The first thing to do is drain the engines and preserve them before sending them to overhaul. Then we got electric power washers and affixed longer wands (pipes about 8 feet long) so we could reach into the wings. We washed with clean water and soap then rinsed until clear water came out. Good luck Mark, but I recommend tearing those motors apart, and how do you know what was in the water that got into your hangars? We had a chemical company upstream and that was what made the FAA leery about unknown damage. What about those chutes? Why take the chance? If you had any insurance, please raise these issues with their agent, and maybe have him confer with the FAA.
Every time I see a video of all the destruction this hurricane left my heart hurts. Praying for everyone affected. I'm praying for all in the path of Milton, who is on its way to Florida.

Thank you for your coverage, it has been the best and most respectful coverage of the devastation of the area. I grew up in Hendersonville and in searching I came across your page. My best to you and your family.
I’m so glad that you and your family are alive, and your house is livable. Y’all are such a precious little family. Praying for you guys and the areas that were devastated by Helene.
I followed you when you were paramotoring, but you’re doing some fine on-the-ground documentary reporting and journalism, too. Truly unique content. Wishing you all the best from Canada. 🙏
Ya have a young family, and a can do attitude and a heart to assist others. You have no reason to feel ashamed for giving us a look at your life and livelihood. Bless you friend! I know colder weather is coming so I am going to gather all of my quilting friends and see what we can do. May take a while but I think we will be able to help in some way.
Found your channel when I saw the video you posed yesterday with the interview, went through the other videos you posted of the storm and aftermath... I used to live in Florida, and still the devistation here boggles the mind. It's honestly still hard to believe but seeing how bad the flooding was before the hurricane it was going to be bad no matter how strong the storm was.
Glad you got the motors running, when i watched your video when the airport was first flooding all i could think was take everything out but it was already flooded too bad. I hope yall can get back to some kind of stability soon.
I subscribed a few years ago for the paramotor videos. I never thought you would have to put these catastrophic videos of the North Carolina Mountains. Its really sad to see. I live in NC and my heart hurts for all the areas affected by the storm. Please be safe out there Mark. I am glad you are doing well. The videos are top notch.
When you got the paramotors running my ADD was peeking hard as i was needing to see a can of WD-40 to calm my nerves.....so happy ur family is safe...god bless you all brother ❤️🇺🇲
The best thing about 2 strokes is that you can completely submerge them in water and they aren’t dead. Hoping and praying you catch a break in all of this
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUING COVERAGE OF NC REALITY!!! ❤❤ APPRECIATED!!! 👍👍👍👍 Have you had any 'pilferers' helping themselves to your stuff at the hangars? Continued prayers for ALL!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
The one that got me is when you were in your hangar, "that's not even mine!" All who lost a loved one, their home, vehicles, businesses and livelihood are in my prayers. Be strong. You are loved.
Thanks for your videos, and I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I am at the NC coast and we've been through multiple floods in the last 15 years and it is such a terrible feeling when you open the door and see all your stuff moved around like that. The only thing worse is when it is salt water, then its a total loss. Praying for you all out there.
Your videos are so informative showing the reality you all are dealing with! Thank you so much! The "news" channels dont show nearly what you local folks do. ❤
Hey Mark! Good luck to all you guys up there. We had some storm damage down this way but nothing like what you guys just got. Also glad to hear your paramotors we're able to start back up.
Lucky you could get out Mark. And you are safe, stuff can be replaced. Sounds like it was 9 feet or so in the hangar. You are a good man Mark and thank you for letting me and others see what happened there. Having been to the mountains and roads along the streams, you showed us a world of hurt in a kind and empathetic way. And your post was helpful, too. Will be thinking of you all. Glad a good bit of your stuff survived too.
Good job getting them going so quickly. It gave me a stomach ache while you were going through everything in your hangar. The losses are so great everywhere you turn. You’re doing such an incredible job capturing this moment in time. I’m just sorry it’s affecting you and your family so much.
Good job Mark you at least got in there and started to clear that stuff out. Time is a wasting and there is no insurance that's going to make you whole. Every one of those engines is salvageable if you get in there clean them out and then throw some good oil in the cylinders and get everything lubed before you get them all running again. You can salvage so much. Heck I imagine once you get those fired up it's not that far for you to be out there and helping locate people and things. I wish people would get out there and clear the roads by themselves and not wait for the authorities. If they had a saw they could go ahead and start cutting up and moving stuff off the road. I'm sure if people had the attitude they don't need the authorities to tell him it's okay they could do better for themselves. Many prayers for blessings and best wishes for you all up there. Thanks for the great video
I am so sorry. I have no idea what to say as words of comfort except that you are loved and appreciated, and of course in my prayers. Your videos of keeping us informed and educated have been phenomenal and are greatly appreciated. Stay strong and keep the faith. New and better days are coming. Adorable baby!
Oh man!!!! I’m glad you guys are safe for sure but it’s heartbreaking to see all your gear messed up like that not to mention your house and property. Good luck sorting it all out man. Jerry, Canada

I do believe you have found anew life's calling with your reports. Perhaps a future of responding to national disasters? Your delivery is so natural that bias would never enter into the reporting. I live in Texas and did serve a year at Camp LeJeune on North Carolina's coast. Good people up your way. That, I know...
If you don’t oil or fog the engines after they get dunked they will rust up and seize. Coastal NC pilot here outside of New Bern . Have experienced every single storm since 96. My heart hurts for you guys up there. Life is not fair. Be safe
This is heartbreaking now, but the work you are doing in documenting and preserving this bit of history will show that Southerners (as for all humans in general) are sturdy and resilient. I am glad you and your family are okay, and your business will recover in time. I grew up in those mountains and my heart is breaking. I'm in Colorado at the foot of the Rockies now, but Appalachia is where my heart lives.

Mark, my heart goes out to you and everyone who suffered during and after Hurricane HELLene. I'm praying for y'all.
Without your camera and willingness of heart, millions worldwide would not know the depth of complicity in this "Event". If I was in the US, I'd be catching up with ya just to say thank you. I'm not fond of heights, but those machines do look like fun.
My guess is...that even if your stuff was 100% OKAY, there will be fewer customers or tourists for a while. Hope you can survive that You seem like a smart guy...so thanks for keeping people in the know about things around you in this area.
You had me there 😂
I'm yelling PB Blaster in the cylinders don't let them pistons stick !!!!!! 😱
" NOT TRASH" ☝️👍
Hearing them running fantastic
🤘 YEAH 😊 made my day ....
Take Care and Stay Safe 🙏✌️❤️
Thanks for sharing. Sorry for the hassle you are going through. You would’ve never thought that living in the hills that flooding would be that bad?
thankyou Lord for protcting tnis family.
Yes, lord, and no thank you for the babies, dogs, and people that you did kill.
As determined and tough as you are Mark, you will turn the flooded paramotors into a durability test lol
God help everyone! My prayers for those that lost a loved one especially the parents that lost their children. May God give everyone the faith, strength and resilience to keep going. Prayers 🙏😊
Well if the dear lord killed kids and parents, which he did in spades, the least he can do is give the victims the strength to bear it.
Mark, This is crazy. A last stop that you would think a hurricane would hit. Don't give up!!! Your family needs you. Thoughts and prayers for you all!!!
Our thoughts are with you Mark. Stay safe, things will be good again! 🙏👍
Thanks for the videos Mark. It helps us Yankees understand the scope of destruction. Best wishes to you and your community.
This is Award Winning Coverage! Thank you for your narrative and without music. I wish your family & community love.
Noooo.... Not the paramotors!!!!
Best wishes on your recovery, Mark. Thanks for the awesome vids!
I'm sorry for your loss, but I am glad that you are documenting the real devastation in this disaster.
Very cool mountain home.
Thank you
Just remember to protect yourself from the icky, toxic mud sludge that is all over your stuff!
Thank God you and your family are ok. You fared better than many. I love your videos, the only ones we can trust are ppl on the ground. Thank you.
Mark keep the videos coming
All the very best to you as you get up on your feet again. x
No I haven't but the solar/battery powered cellular camera will capture them. That's how I got flooding footage
Soo Sorry to see the destruction Mark!! Unbelievable and Horrific to witness with You.. Praying for you All!!❤
Nice work Mark, prayers are being sent 🙏🙏🙏!!!
I'm sorry for your losses.
Your chutes are wet, but thankfully, they are not full of mud. Best of luck on recovery from this mess.
The one that got me is when you were in your hangar, "that's not even mine!" All who lost a loved one, their home, vehicles, businesses and livelihood are in my prayers. Be strong. You are loved.
Way over here in North Dakota we are hurting for all of you. Devastating and heart breaking.
Thanks again for everything that you have done! Excellent video coverage distributed to the masses who would never have seen without your help!
I'm so glad all the motor started! Wow!! One step at a time, one prayer at a time and you'll get there ❤
There's no resignation in your game! Uplifting and inspirational! A message to us all! Thanks for sharing. 😊
Glad You & Yours Are Alright.
God Bless You & All That Have Been Affected By The Hurricane.
Prayers To Call.💜🙏👣🕊️
Thanks for your videos, and I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I am at the NC coast and we've been through multiple floods in the last 15 years and it is such a terrible feeling when you open the door and see all your stuff moved around like that. The only thing worse is when it is salt water, then its a total loss. Praying for you all out there.
I WATCHED YOU AS THE WATER WAS RISING. THANK GOD YALL ARE SAFE, ESPECIALLY WITH THAT BEAUTIFUL BABY
Wow! I can't believe the destruction. Sorry for your loss. Best of luck rebuilding. Thanks for sharing your experience(s). Aloha from Maui 🤙
Thanks Mark. I'm a Edneyville resident and. Nice to see some local footage.
Chin up Mark, you're alive, you can always rebuild, stay strong.
Amazing they motors started. Glad you were able to salvage some of your gear. good luck. Bill
Oh man!!!! I’m glad you guys are safe for sure but it’s heartbreaking to see all your gear messed up like that not to mention your house and property. Good luck sorting it all out man. Jerry, Canada
I know you feel like you want to give up, but I know that you won't. Courage! Our hearts ache for your losses and pain. All i can do is pray and donate. Hoping you can still feel some blessings. Hang in there!
I've never seen anything like this before. That guard rail looked crazy like that.
Thanks for the on the ground perspective. New sub here. I hope today goes a bit better than yesterday. God bless…
Thank you for doing this and know that we carry you and all those like you in our hearts and prayers. Greetings from Louisiana!
I am glad you and your family are okay, and your business will recover in time. I grew up in those mountains and my heart is breaking. I'm in Colorado at the foot of the Rockies now, but Appalachia is where my heart lives.
Thank you for sharing prayers for you all !!!!
Best wishes from California. Glad to see your engines running
*I'm glad you made this video,* it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $89k biweekly and a good daughter full of love..
Please how ?
It's Maria Angelina Alexander doing she's changed my life. A BROKER- like her is what you need.

A CNBC news host spoke highly big about this woman and her loss preventing strategies. Been trying to reach her since. Thanks y'all for the info.
