Hey everyone, I just finished the Primo build and wanted to make a video sharing my thoughts on it. I will be making videos as I start using the machine and as I make tweaks and upgrades to it. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. I'm pretty active here on youtube.
In the video I said this was the only version of the Primo out right now, however Ryan has released at least one other size as of 8/28/20.
Here is the Bluing that we used on the steel tubes:

    Thanks!

Cool video, lets people get a good look at the new Primo version! I always plan on making a fancy video but there are just so many other things I should be doing instead of stumbling around a video editor. Thanks again, glad you like it so far.

Excellent video! The new build does look more refined and sturdy. Thanks for the share, looking forward to seeing it in action. I am particularly interested in cutting Acrylic, because I have been struggling with melting and tried so many different settings but no success.

Thank you for making this video!
I was planning to build a MPCNC for half a year now, and right now where I started on planing the build, the Primo was released in between but mostly all the videos available right now are the burly or earlier versions 😄
    So thanks again, appreciate it

That's awesome!!! Thanks for sharing. Sitting on my Burly prints for months, and now that all my equipment is finally in (GT2 I ordered I think back in February, arrived a couple days ago)I'm ready for assembly. But wanting this now too. Lol. I was going to wait for the EMT conduit files, but I'm going to try get some steel tubing on Monday. And go from there.

Pro-tip with iron and steel tooling. Keep a small bottle of machine oil and a fluffy lint-free rag nearby, use that to wipe the steel down regularly (daily, weekly, monthly up to you). It'll stay clean, lubricated and wont rust.

the black coating is commonly called bluing, its used on a lot of guns, hot blue lasts longer but for some things a cold version works good enough

Thx for the vid. Looking forward to see how it cuts. If you work the spillboard over with a 3/4" hog bit, just a couple mm deep, you'll eliminate small inconsistencies from mounting it less than level. Why not just have the machine drill all the holes for your mounting system? Incidentally, rather than a mounting system, I've just drilled then screwed work into the spillboard - great results, less thought. And less collisions between bit and metal parts in the bit's path

an awesome video where did you get the files from ?? I would like to upgrade mine to the primo

Did you ever ground the machine? I would worry about the movement wearing down the cable sheathing, specifically at the entrance and exit points of the tubing. Maybe print an end cap so it's wire on plastic and won't catch any metal burrs.

The pipe is 14 gauge steel tubing. Is the tube diameter measured on the OD?

What are the dimensions of the 1" steel tubes? I.e. how thick are the walls?

How much time to put this together? +-?
And how much does this cost,. including the filament? Is PLA enough?
Really cool looking machine, I like to colors!

I'm considering building this machine but I'm unsure if each of the parts will fit in my printers build volume 180X180X180, is it possible or would I need to buy a printer with a larger build area?

What controller / firmware version are you using? How did you incorporate the limit switches? Are you happy with how they work?

I was using the Full Size Rambo, and I'm pretty sure it was running Marlin. I was very happy with the limit switches and would recommend them to anyone starting a build.

@@ProjectsbyBrian Did you get stainless or not? I'm assuming from the video it's not stainless. And do you know what I can google to find relevant shops? I am in Southeastern pa and so far all I have found is getting tubes shipped from metalsdepot which is ~$80 for a 3x3ft build....
