Waiting for sony to launch fx30 in India, I have this exact lens and I have been using this with A6000. This video shows how great a combination is this lens with FX30. Video looks absolutely awesome.
Watched on my desktop because when PT drops a video, aint gonna watch it on my phone. The creamy depth of field is there and the composition is on point. Phantom lut or something else? Bottom line it for me, does this camera inspire you to make something?

i have no real process im just noodling until i find something i like. just experiment!

it looks like a typical promist/black diffusion filter. it can also be achieved afterwards in Resolve -> Glow. but effects in post do not rise the black level like the filter while shooting.

both are good
I'm on the same boat on deciding between the two systems, but I think I will lean more on what body inspires me more to go out and shoot.
@@lmauro i like the FX30 body better, subjectively but both are extremely capable.
Hi Patrick, Is it just me or does the FX30 have more of a filmic “cinematic” look compared to the A7IV which seems to be a bit more clinical? Like a very subtle difference

I haven’t used a GoPro in probably 8+ years. I don’t miss the evf. I don’t take pictures with this camera.

As a long time Lumix shooter, I feel slightly guilty saying this but the image / colour / highlight roll-off of this Sony video is more pleasing to me than your Lumix S5ii Japan video (great video btw!).
Now that AF is out of the question, what's your experience like shooting both / which one would you gravitate towards more?
i didnt grade them the same. whatever differences you're seeing are subjective to you.

no i've always been fcp. i only use resolve occasionally. im not a big fan.
