Vancouver FC are actually my beta save! The real life club was a mess for most of their first season, so it's kind of nice to know there's nowhere to go but up. I should note for pedantry's sake that you're not actually going to Vancouver when you take the job, unless you enjoy a 50 km commute. They're called "Vancouver FC" for marketing reasons, but the team is actually located in Langley, BC.
Big Guangzhou Evergrande fan here, I've been a fan since I was in elementary school back in the 2010s. I used to go to watch home games since 2012 before moving abroad in 2017. Now because the Evergrande Group has basically bankrupted, we have absolutely no money and rely COMPLETELY on academy players, we used to play in the Tianhe stadium which was about 50000-60000 seated, but we had no money to renew the contract and also the 100,000 seated stadium project paused mid-build because the lack of money. Guangzhou FC is truely the biggest club in China and I really hope someone can take us back to glory again! (Please!)
They were the first save I ever did on fifa and took them to Sextuple winners and made me fall in love with Football this year I wanna try to replicate that on FM
I got FM about a week ago and I was thinking if they have Vancouver FC on the game it would be an amazing save to do. Thank you for looking out for us Vancouverites, Jack!
My challenge save I'm planning on doing this year, is to choose 3 random nationalities every season that a player must have as a partial nationality to sign them... trying this at Athletico Madrid in the beta, and had Italy, Guyana, and Vanuatu. This second season I randomed out Ukraine, burundi, and Cambodia... love the challenge of seeing a wonderkid that I can never sign, just because he's not from the nation I drew, and likewise, finding people I've never heard of before, that are actually good I.E Nestory Irankunda, who has burundi as a second nationality, but looks like a future star in real life
I think an MLS and US international save would be fun with so much young talent coming through, Messi playing in Miami, and the world cup coming the US in 2026.
Hvidovre IF in Denmark should be an interesting save. Just being promoted and being semi-pro team in the top Danish league, fighting against relegation is gonna be interesting.
Agree - just to show the task at hand, so far this season they've played 12 matches in the Superliga without winning a single game... they need help. 🙂Another interesting Nordic save could be Rosenborg in the Norwegian Eliteserie. A huge fall from grace for the previous multiple champions. Other similar saves (i.e., former strong teams going through a very bad period) could be St.-Etienne in France and Schalke 04 in Germany.
I'm currently doing an RTG with Como who start in Serie B and its been amazing so far. Cesc Fabregas is your assistant manager, Thierry Henry is on the board and they just gained promotion to Serie A. If anyone is looking for a save I highly recommend this one.
As an American Crystal Palace can, seeing their inclusion here is not only exciting, but completely on point. Gotta break that constant mid table history!
I guess we might have to wait until next year (especially if they get relegated), but Ajax is going to be a really popular save in FM soon enough. I wonder if their current state will be reflected in FM's full release.
Not sure you noticed but Sochaux star player as you said aint really available until january which makes things even harder, just thought i should mention that as im doing a Sochaux save myself
This is so random… I was just thinking, this morning, that I wanted to do a Union Berlin save, and here you are recommending them. Thanks for the final push. 👍
FM is so lacy with fixing the right/left strong feet. Georg Teigl was left footed for 10 years, dispate using it in rl only to stand. He was one of the fastest austrian players but in FM he wants to cut in on his strong left foot. Finally they fixed it last year.
As a proud Palace supporter it made my day seeing them get some love from you Jack. They have always been the first save I make every new FM year. Go Eagles!
Are there any clubs with barely any players? Always like a challenge like that where you really have to start from scratch. Also do feel like doing a Scandinavian save at some point - Norway or Sweden maybe. Could be the next Graham Potter before throwing it all away by taken the poisoned chalice at Chelsea.
A little biased as I support them but Reading is such a fun challenge this year. No money, second youngest squad in league one, points deduction, but an incredible academy/facilities. Start the save with 10 youth players that could easily stay with you all the way to top half premier league if you develop them properly, but you also need to find money through sales to pay off the costs of the stadium/facilities
For Sochaux, it was even more than "close to the start of the season", the first two games were actually postponed so the new ownership could come in and save the club. It was crazy. (French Sochaux fan out here)
If you want to go to Spain, I would go for Deportivo La Coruña or Malaga CF. Both teams have a lot of history and used to compete in LaLiga and in european football not too long ago, but now they're struggling in 1ºRFEF (Spanish Third Division). In fact, "Depor" is close to relegation and lost against his main rival "academy" team, Celta de Vigo B, a few weeks ago.
Was going to recommend Deportivo and then saw your comment. A club with history that won la Liga in the early 2000s and a champions league semi finalists with Roy Makaay and Diego Tristan. Great comment and recommendations
Malaga was my first non european fm save in fm21 made them world beaters was super fun . I love doing spain because building youth is so much easier then in england also automatic release clauses suck and lowkey help.
In germany u have much more interesting teams like (Schalke, bielefeld (went from league 1 to 3 and are now on the verge to get relegated to the 4th) hertha bsc, u can pick any team in the 2nd league and its a good team (kaiserslautern Hannover hamburg ...) for the first league i would pick Köln or Werder Bremen In turkish football u can pick teams like bursaspor( former league champions now in the 3rd league Altinordu only turkish players its like athletic club bilbao And for the first leeague i would pick trabzon they're mid table atm not as good as they used to be
VfL Bochum, the little neighbors from Schalke and Dortmund. No title un the club history so far, very low budget, every year, always a exciting challenge to grow big and bigger
Nice video! However, the potential stars are is based on the level of league play in. So in ligue 1 most of your 5 stars would have been around 3 start. But I agree, Sochaux is a very fun project!
Yes, managing Girona FC can be quite interesting for several reasons: Challenge: Girona is not one of the traditional giants of Spanish football like FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Atlético Madrid. This means that managing Girona provides a more challenging gameplay experience, as you aim to break the hegemony of the top clubs. Budget Constraints: Girona, historically, hasn't had the massive budgets of the bigger clubs. This forces you to be smart in the transfer market, invest in youth development, and perhaps discover and develop the next big talent. Rise from Lower Divisions: Girona has spent time in the lower divisions of Spanish football. The story of guiding them from a lower league to La Liga - and perhaps even to European competition - mirrors the journey of clubs like SD Eibar or CD Leganés and can be a rewarding narrative. Location: Girona is located in Catalonia, which is a football-crazy region. This means potential derbies with giants like FC Barcelona, which can be pivotal moments in your save. Stadium and Fanbase: The Estadi Montilivi, while not the largest, provides a close-knit atmosphere. Keeping this fanbase engaged and growing it can be another objective of your management. Youth Development: With the right focus, you can aim to develop the youth academy and training facilities, turning Girona into a hub for nurturing Spanish talent. Unique Identity: Every club in FM has its own character, history, and challenges. Getting to know these aspects of Girona and embracing them in your managerial style can be rewarding. In short, while Girona may not be the most glamorous pick compared to Europe's mega-clubs, they offer a compelling and challenging experience in Football Manager. Their unique position and history provide an opportunity for managers to craft an engaging story and rise to the top. (I may have asked chat gpt, I had no clue)
I’m a Leicester fan so I’ll give you two 1. Go invincible with Leicester in the championship this year 2. Win the championship title with anyone other than Leicester.
Going to do a seperate video on JLeague clubs once the full game is out and their data is locked in, right now there's a few things that aren't not accurate/complete
Think Everton make a lot more of a challenge than Crystal Palace. A club literally dying, 70k on the wage budget, £1m transfer budget. A squad of 19 players. AND you're by default out of FFP favour.
Going to do a seperate video on JLeague clubs once the full game is out and their data is locked in, right now there's a few things that aren't not accurate/complete
Cardiff City should be a good save this year. Under an embargo, but have signed players way above the ability we should be considering for our scenario (Ramey, Siopis etc.) Club has massive opportunities, Capital city, huge potential fan base. Awkward owner to top it off. Can’t wait to dig in myself
5- openly leftist club. I'd rather not play the game. 4- communist country. I'd rather not play the game. 3- I'll consider it, but I'd rather not play in England for a little we. It's too "common". 2- that's actually a great suggestion. It could even lean itself to a sort of nation-build save. I love the idea of using a Canadian team in Canada, and not one of the ones in USA and beating MLS teams! I'd love to have a concacaf final against Vancouver, Montréal or Toronto! 1- ah yes, Peugeot's club that he sold to China. Honestly it's been my candidate for a while. I'll seriously consider a campaign as them!

As a Pacific fan I’m amazed to find one of your recommended clubs is one I would never dream of doing a save with 😂
How does Southend United dodge these lists every single year? 10 Point deduction this year, extremely small squad, transfer embargo, madness!
Who says it's not on any of the other top team to manage lists I've already drafted!
It's fairly well known already about them. I'm looking for good ideas involving teams I don't know.
They were the first save I ever did on fifa and took them to Sextuple winners and made me fall in love with Football this year I wanna try to replicate that on FM
@@pj01327 I love this! 🥹 do you follow them in person too?

I got FM about a week ago and I was thinking if they have Vancouver FC on the game it would be an amazing save to do. Thank you for looking out for us Vancouverites, Jack!
Used Vancouver FC on fm23 and they actually had a good squad when i coached them and took them to win the Canadian championship
Interesting squad ngl.

If you had reported it as a data issue on their forums it would have been fixed for the next data update
Thanks for this !
Cant wait to see what will be the park to prem, and maybe the other series !
My beta save is Venezia, the recent history makes it very interesting - plus the stadium is very unique!
For Japan if you make a seperate video, Tokyo Verde could be a good shout, they won the first 2 ever league campaigns they play currently in the J2.
Playing as haka in Finland in a build a nation save. Won last game of season to send me top as 2nd and 3rd were playing the last match and drew
I did crystal palace last year and i can vouch it was very fun

Just reading that blurb about how many players you can register per season must have given Jack some nasty flashbacks to Beijing IT.
I'm managing Miyazaki, my home town. Absolutely loving the addition of Japan!
It’s so great to see JLeague added, going to have some videos focusing specifically on Japanese clubs to manage once the full game is out!

Trying to help 🥲
I suggest u to see Lecco in serie b in Italy has an interesting story and is located in a small city of 48000 people
In germany u have much more interesting teams like (Schalke, bielefeld (went from league 1 to 3 and are now on the verge to get relegated to the 4th) hertha bsc, u can pick any team in the 2nd league and its a good team (kaiserslautern Hannover hamburg ...) for the first league i would pick Köln or Werder Bremen
In turkish football u can pick teams like bursaspor( former league champions now in the 3rd league Altinordu only turkish players its like athletic club bilbao
And for the first leeague i would pick trabzon they're mid table atm not as good as they used to be
Could you do a video on finally getting the J-leagues, maybe there are some good potential teams in the J3!

The guys made fm videos for years lol
I'm gonna manage Odd in Norway :) My local team
Suwon Bluewings is A super good one, they are about to be religated in real life, they have won the league 4x and won the Championship league 2x.
Got to save them for next year when they go down! 😂
Just found out there's a Team In the K2 league who is equally successful, 7x Korean champions, 1x champions league winner. Seongnam FC.

I don't know why but it would be really cool if you took UD IBIZA, perhaps bc it's the famous party-place. But how cool if Ibiza won the La Liga? :D

What about doing a Create your own Club and players ( including yourself ), why isn't that very popular?

Agreed with Jack, I play FM because it's the "reality", no interest at all for this game mode.
