I know that the Choquette avocado 🥑 variety is a hybrid of a Guatemalan & West Indian variety of avocado tree,I know that the first Choquette planted by Remi D Choquette was grown from the seed of such a tree in 1929 at Miami in Florida, which was a variety of avocado 🥑 tree which was likely a result of cross pollination by the 2 varieties I mentioned.
Commercially grown varieties are grafted apparently, no doubt that cuttings were taken from the original tree.
It's the same deal with my seed grown Hass avocado 🥑 tree,I grew that from seed 8 years ago & now it's 2 metres tall,I seriously need to plant it in the ground next year when I move, it flowered twice but it hasn't produced any avocados 🥑.
I am unsure if it will give me different Hass avocados or its root stocks type, the Fuerte
It's stuck in a 52 litre pot which it's actually crammed into,I do water it with about 4-5 litres of water daily,I actually catch the shower water & water 💦 my plants with it since the septic system at my dads place is a pump out type of system.
I know that in Southern California where it's more arid someone has been watering their avocado 🥑 trees with about 20 litres of water per week.
Next year I will have the Envirocycle septic system water the plants for me instead of myself using a bucket to water them !

Mexico is where avacado come from and it is volcanic region so adding volcanic ash / rock dust will make it grow better 😂🎉
