I was 8 years old when my dad started forcing me to plant mango trees, coconut trees, chiku, rambutan, cempedak, bananas, papayas, and for gardening , lemon grass, beetle leaves, lady's finger, chillies, long beans and Indian herbs. Now I'm 40 and my dad long gone. I grumbled at that time when he made me plant those trees and taught me gardening on our land in Malaysia, but I remembered what he said, o son, these trees will grow someday and will feed you and your kids when I'm long gone. 30 years has passed and I am proud of the trees that I planted with my bare hands, that they grew so big and producing so much fruits. My land is alive thanks to my late dad, full of herbs and fruit producing trees. Don't know why, we Indians love planting stuffs, most importantly herbs, mangoes, coconuts and bananas😂

So inspiring. Healthy food landscape. Love all she grows. Miss eating in those banana leaves in Guyana. All Hindu religious gatherings we eat our food on the banana leaves as our plates and using our fingers. ❤

Jackfruit is awesome. We have a small older tree in the backyard here with over 30 fruits on it at present. They are smallish trees that are just so productive. Really great to have in the yard.

Oh my. You bring back memories of my childhood in South America growing up with my Grandpa. You have named off every fruit we had in our yard!! Even down to the different varieties of cherry trees. I'm at 11:26 of your video writing this. If you mention cashew, soursop, guinep or sterapple, I'm paying you a visit ❤.

Yes that's commendable of her it says a lot about where she came from a country where you use the god given soil to grow some great stuff. If I may mention it my wife and myself we have planted our back yard but we have mango soursop sapadilla Avocado papaya and other stuff. Maybe because we're Indian also but not from India our grandparents came from India. And my wife Indian from India love to plant we don't have a big yard as this lady have but I enjoy it the mangoes were sweet and so were the sapadilla too sweet I made mango jam or as the locals in my home country of Guyana would call it Gurama I ate the last. Once again mam very good

I converted my barren lands into mango garden and now small shade farms under it with help of government. My school teacher told me about this scheme of government where they'll provide me with fencing, labour cost, and big saplings and organic fertilizers. My parents are more than happy.

He is constantly commenting on the high density of this garden and how it'll make fruits hard to access and manage but if it was me I would also want a high density fruit forest garden like this. The birds and squirrels can have all of the fruits. I just love the environment. And tbh this is how dense Indian forests usually are so this lady is just recreating her home country's environment.

My mom would love to meet this lady.. my mom is a garden freak 😂 she don't even have much space but she has grown so many fruit and veggies and flowers in a tiny area! She should have a big land like this lady to grow what she loves.. ❤

The mango you shown in close up is an Alphonso vaiety. It is so much sour when it consumed unripe. But very good taste when it is ripened!

Really enjoyed watching this video in Florida owned by an Indian lady called Rani. She is a Rani (Queen) of all plants. Very knowledgeable with many varieties of Mangoes. Didn’t know we can use tender Tamarind shoots in Fish curry. In Australia, QLD where I live I have similar garden not big as Rani’s. Red Rosary Pea we called them in India Manjoti. Our recent visit to a property we tasted a black sapote which was round and small but delicious. I can watch this video again and again. I also love water lilies. Thank you Rani and Paul. What do you use Pencil Cactus as we had one and we got rid of it.
