I live on the Oregon coast and we are a subtropical rainforest. The joke is that people at the coast do not tan, we rust!! Why have I NEVER heard of these before? I cannot wait to see what they have available!! Wearing boots 👢 and romeos is heavy footwear. I am stoked to try them!

So true! Since we have a little bit of time, I've been looking for land that's basically set up for a trailer -- hook-ups, land, etc
As it stands I don't know what we'll do but I just know we're both on SSDI, out of life savings, and my husband can die at any time now. (On hospice. ) So I need somewhere to prevent being homeless.
That’s the hardest part for me, not having land, or family land. I’m still determined to get my tiny im just not sure where I can put it yet. Good luck!🍀

They managed it very well indeed. I wouldn't have been able to do that, purchasing a new house under such a stressful time constraint. Hearing about the accident during moving causing a chipped sink and dented fridge, and they were just like, "it's ok, we can fix that no problem". They have the right mindset to do it.

That is a reallllllllly really smart layout. You dont need to stand up in a room with a couch. Makes it cozy and lends room to the upstairs office. And i have never seen so much storage. It really does rival what you get in some homes twice the size. Its amazing what you can do with a small space when you just stop and think it through.
If i were going to change anything i would get something to serve as a screen to shoot movies on so you arent looking at the lines from your paneling. It might be as simple as a large piece of fabric hooked up in the corners and altered to fit...readymade bedsheet or curtain, shower curtain, tarp, canvas drop cloth? Or maybe a rollup window shade.

That's so cool how this house kind of came to them, like it's serendipitous! And I completely agree about house size; I hate cleaning and I don't want to pay to heat and cool some ginormous house! I like the layout, I think it's well-suited to their needs. Now their friends just need to get them some houseplants (it's really neat that there's a little garden plot in the parking spot as well👍🏻💚)

I agree. Heck I'm 40 , single parent w two boys and a dog and I've been totally thinking of going this route. My boys and I are always next to each other anyways lol. I'd love a tiny home would just need to figure out a 2 bedroom space or lofts on both ends .. 🤔

This is perfect, I hope all the tiny home builders use this as a lesson learned and a template. I've seen other builders say a house is 8.5 ft wide and the house they build look 6 feet wide.

The builder utilities the entire space perfectly. I really love the large lofts and ceiling. It's a very functional layout. Oh and the couple were so sweet and relatable.
What a lovely couple! Thanks for the dog intro too. Scotty is living the dream along with his moms it seems! Nana was ON POINT with the color matching of that curtain with the bathroom area. It blends in so well. Love this house/lay out. The double stairs are great and the bathroom looks so spacious.

I like their layout, it looks great. I could definitely live in a tiny house like this one… it’s good that more and more people are realizing that they can live debt free after only couple years of saving/paying back… once you’re debt free you can make more drastic life choices because you have very little charges or obligations to anyone.

I adore this couple and their home but my favorite thing is how much attention Destiny pays to their cute sweet dog.

I love all the pullouts, just not the large handles. Great layout..thanks for showing this wonderful home and great couple!! The washer/dryer combo have had mixed emotions. BTW..it looks like Scotty will be living a charmed life. You can always put a folding partition between the two of you. The company who moved your home should have been more aware of what could shift during the journey. Moving companies have to be insured, so they should have compensated you for the damage done.
Very nice setup, especially with the storage. I'm still in the research process of buying a mini home, and the "where do I park it?" had definitely been a challenge. Coincidentally, I'm considering moving it to Oregon. Great video, ladies, best of luck to you both with your new mini home .

That’s why I will be forwarding this video to lots of family and friends with millennials beginning to build careers. I do my part to show them how to invest and live within their means. But, a TH is the smartest choice for first home ownership. I never believed in renting; had many rentals tho. Millennials and Gen Y/Zers will be unable to own a home early on unless the parents help them. Things are changing fast, and the economy is shifting in different directions, as it does every 50-75 years. Many will not be prepared.

I love their upfront, honest, simple info on everything between finances to adjusting even their vision to their budget. And I'm just gonna say it...they are an adorable couple!!!
This is what I like to see. Tiny house dwellers who show it is more affordable to live tiny, even if you don't have all of the money up front. It's more reasonable for some people rather than paying cash. Interest is what it's going to be. As Bri said, "rent's going up."

OMG THIS IS IT! THIS is my dream house! It has the best office I've ever seen in any tiny house, two STANDING desks! Yessss! Of course they're software people that's why ergonomic workspace is a must. That, plus the drawer galore!! 🤤 Big closets, lots of storage. Beautiful full staircases. Perfect.

I have to say this couple is Fantastic I love their idealisms to life, their straightforwardness to TH living and the costs of it as well as how scary it can be when you have to go from renting and the not knowing or being unsure of where life will take you next.
