Houdini Workshop for Beginners is a tutorial series that covers a wide range of topics relevant to people who are just coming to Houdini with little to no experience in the software. We take a project-based approach by building a couch scene that dabbles in many different areas of Houdini to get things started: From basic interface, to procedural modeling, basic cloth simulation, rendering, and building digital assets, this is a great way to explore the tip of the Houdini iceberg!

Thanks for the tutorial, love the simple yet effective workflow!
Slick set up with the grid system! very cool concept for designing and modeling which I had not thought of using! Excited to bring this to Ue as a HDA when it is done. Cheers!!
Thank you.
what version of houdini were you using?
I'm pretty sure this is 19.5.368
You will be fired if you model at this speed.
Houdini and proceduralism in general is a go-slow-to-go-fast workflow… and I agree it’s not gonna be a perfect fit for every project. So while this might seem a bit long winded, bear in mind: 1. I’m teaching 2. I’ll be able to make adjustments to my model much quicker in the end.
Obviously tutorial speed is not production speed. I can see this being just as fast, and far more flexible than the traditional modeling workflows in say Maya or Max. Don't be scared
