Destiny went down the other day on my day off and I was DESTORYED
I hate destiny 2, it's my favorite game.
An upgrade a month before Lightfall, this man is ready to fight on neptune.
the celeb builds are cool and all, but i genuinely enjoy seeing a friend get surprised by an upgrade or whole pc. the reactions are pure and priceless
I remember this build, was very cool to see it again. Although, I still believe a big aircooler would also look awesome sticking out of the 'broken' mesh/grill where now the tubing is coming out. Would also fit the theme very nicely, if you were to use a dark/industrial looking cooler.
My best friend is running exactly that. Not sure what air cooler it is exactly, but it is a dark one with industrial fans on it. Looks dope as hell :D
it doesn't fit destiny 2 at all though,

The only issue there would be hot air getting (mostly) trapped inside of the PC
As a Destiny 2 nut, I have loved this build since the first time Jay did it (even if it is Warlock logo themed - lol - I'm a Hunter & Titan Mains) - it gave me ideas to do to my next/current build. Can't wait to see the next version of this if Jay expands it to a different case.
Love when someone is passionate about something! Would you say that D2 is worth getting into this late in the game (literally) ?

@@ReizokoRyu literally the perfect game if you dont have any others on the go and wanna spend a week immersing yourself in something (watching youtube guides for everything). plus its free to play so you wont lose anything but time
@@ReizokoRyu it is such an impenetrable game. It's like any free MMO, you get in and are just fucking lost in the currencies and activities.
But once you get your head around it (friends that play can help) it can become a great game.
Personally, if you don't have any intrinsic motivation to play I wouldnt do it. But if you do actually want to play? You can go quite deep into it.
I am still a giant fan of the weathering and paint job you did on that thing. This could be a prop in the background of a Star Wars movie or something like that

It's funny how Jay already did a similarly looking Star Wars themed Corsair ONE but this actually looks more like a Star Wars prop.

I also recently upgraded to a MSI suprim liquid 4090 n a few other bits n bobs pay that bad boy forward this needs at least four thousand and 90 million likes... the reaction was indeed priceless loved it, hope to experience the same real soon. (looks at case need paint n skill love that case!)

This is also one of my favorite builds. I really appreciated your take on how it feels to be a special education teacher, and what you wanted to do for him. It's beautiful, and one of the reasons I still follow your channel.
My first AIO, the fans had to be installed on top of the case as there wasn't enough enough clearence inside for the the rad with the fans on. I used a christmastree bit and drill out the vent holes and it worked great. I loved how it looked too as the fans had blue leds and it was finished off with fan grills. I'd do it again!
I'm a big fan of destiny 2 and really excited for lightfall, been watching your watercooling guides for a while now, learnt a lot.

I just built in that case. that thing is no joke the smallest build i've ever done and it was interesting. props to you Jay for the out of the box cooling solutions.
among so many customs build, this is one i would LOVE to have as an old school gundam wing variant. Absolutely full of envy everytime you bust this pc out
this case was my last build, the 8700k/gtx1070.... that usb header, audio header and power board cable installation brought me back to those 20-30 minute nightmare scenarios. replacing fans was also a pain when i had a shuriken 2 had liek 3 fans die. never had i ever been so frustrated other than when i had to mess around in the engine bay of a pt cruiser.
I have those same detailing brushes, literally the best, originally got for my car, but find myself using it for EVERYTHING
revisiting old builds is really nice to see. interested to see performance after all the driver and W11 updates.
also would def use a free upgrade the only reason I wouldn't would be for stability reasons but that's solved by having a separate pc for work.
I watched odd videos of yours years ago when I was an overclocker after my friend at work kept on about you. At the time I was less than impressed with your knowledge but I keep dropping in from time to time and you have become a legit PC builder / guru. I love the fact you don't just throw money at projects anymore.
I might do a SFF Heath Robinson build for fun myself, this has given me ideas.
can you reference older videos where Jay didn't have the correct knowledge? I'm pretty sure he's always mentioned his limits when doing anything

Ahhh the 202. My first ITX build. Fit a 1070 mini and a 120mm AIO + some extra fans in it.Good temps, decent noise levels. Only thing I didn't like was the footprint on my desk. Really good case though.
Jay really likes to put his glasses off for extra drama/comedic effect, I like it!
Nice build again! I was halfway expecting to see you also add the Thermal Grizzly/deBauer 12th gen contact frame, unless it wouldn’t fit with the AIO
Been a few videos already but still not used to see glasses, and yeah the destiny build was one of my favourites the modding in it was awesome, happy to see Mark is still taken care off with his new upgrades :D
"pecking order of upgrade hand-me-downs", LOL. Whenever I upgrade my machine and put the old components in my children's machines I refer to it as "Trickle down electronics" 🙂
If it was free I definitely would, same with the screwdriver haha! Awesome to see this build make another appearance, the form factor has it's own attraction then you add the D2 customization and it's just muah *chefs kiss*

My BIL was visiting a few years back, talking about how he played SWTOR. And it really slow on the used laptop he was using. In 90 minutes, I had a full tower put together for him. Including a 29" Ultrawide 1080p LG monitor.
Love this build. I have a Node 202 for my home theater PC. I like the size and layout but removing the bottom half from the frame is a pain with the number of plastic clips.
Yesss a NEW updated Destiny Build would be very welcome

Would love to see Phil’s 3090 upgrade if he doesn’t mind bringing in his system. I have a NR200P Max that I’m planning to upgrade to a 3090 ti, so that would be fun to see his upgrade!
I'd love to see how tight of a fit that is in your case. Have a buddy who wants to do a sff build in either that case or the lian li q58 with a 40 series

@@kaksidaksi3455 well there is PVP as well as PVE and small strikes with 3 players as well as big raids with 6 players, it's a super fun shooter/exploration game with a ton of content, I suppose the point is just to shoot aliens and have fun with friends

06:15 - I still use one of those cases with these pass throughs (AeroCool Xpredator X1 Black Edition). It has served me well over the past decade, but will eventually be passed down to someone in the family, once I need to get a new case (drive cage → GPU size).

Hey Jay! Actually Gordon from PCworld recently did an extensive comparison Win10 vs Win11 on Intel on his channel and he record no difference at all. So there's no any strong point to update if you don't want to. Please comment that video from your perspective✌️ So that difference is nothing more then a myth of the past at this point, hopefully 🤞
Underrated comment. I know he doesn't mean anything by it, but telling ppl they need W11 when they dont is just inaccurate.

The first time I've thought the dust contributed to the aesthetics of a build.
Also, it's worth mentioning that PC World tested Windows 11 and Windows 10 with 12th Gen... and it doesn't really matter, just go with 10 and it'll be fine.
Love this show! I know I might sound "off" but this is the one channel that keeps me interesting in constantly changing my computer. Its not pretty to some people but I am a function over form. It's all about 4C water temperatures!

Oh and by the way they updated the Win10 scheduler a while back, 22H2 I believe, you don’t need win11 for proper e/p scheduling!

A "sleeper" nostalgia build!! That would be absolutely amazing. Wait for zen 4 x3d though I think, then use the 7950x3d in the build. I think that would be sick.
Dual Pivot Long Reach Needle Nose Pliers. A must for those hidden, forgotten connecters.
I've run my DDR5 at 6200 for a year on my 12900KF without issue. I've even tuned my timings down quite a bit as well. I've been contemplating swapping out for a 13900K and trying some of the new really wild 7200+ ddr5 out there
I have to admit that build was definitely my favorite as well! My kids get hand-me-down upgrades when I'm lucky enough to get something new for myself. My wife gets the occasional full rebuild, but she doesn't game so her builds can go for $500-600 dollars. We all know video cards worth their salt rarely go that low.
I use a snap on screwdriver my dad won when he was in school for diesel mechanics...things from like the 80's lmao. still holds up better than anything I bought recently

I love playing Elite. I've been playing on Xbox since 2014, then transferred my account to PC during the free transfer. Looks even better with my RTX 3050.

It's not like a 9900K/2080Ti is slow even today, but this is a nice upgrade and good to see that it can be cooled effectively.

I don't know if someone pointed that yet, but the schedule problem was solved on Windows 10 after some updates and currently 12 and 13th gen Intel can perform as good as in Windows 11
they did a good refresh on it... i played all the free to play stuff so i come on when they put some more in..
I think, a case that is personalised to you and your life, something like a 22inch Rim with a nice Tyre on it, water cooling could be like a brake master system or something. Something that reflects your life and personality would be cool to see.

Cool upgrade for node 202 special build! Remember if thats the original pcie riser for node 202 its only pcie 3.0 and he may want to put a 4.0 later for direct storage api games etc

Well currently we have the 7700 non-X, which is not only quite fast, but also cool enough for the case. The 7900 non-x is good as well, but also a bit powerstarved on allcore load.
It is possible for those two models to increase PPT and TDC.
My 240mm AIO is mounted externally. It's a Silverstone HTPC, so I'm limited on space. Works great though!

Thanks, I actually learn something. Wasn't planning to upgrade to Windows 11, I guess if I need to utilize the p-cores and e-cores for the CPU I am planning to get and any future CPU upgrades.
I wondered about upgrading this build and how that would work. kinda surprising you came back to do that.
I did a similar upgrade...9900k to 12700k....2080ti to a 3090ti...psu 850w to 1300w...kept my ddr4 sticks on this z690 board. I also reused my older parts to make a sfx build to take to my friends house for lan parties. I wish I was friends with Phil.
Why a 1300w PSU? That's overkill by a lot. An 850w would have been fine or 1000w for plenty of elbow.
This and the star wars build in the Corsair small form factor are among my favorites. So is the Terry Crews and Post Malone builds.

It is the stand off heights for the cooler mount that is the issue with the lga 1700 socket not location.

this build is easily what initiated my love for jay and the team. even tho it was just phil at the time lol. but still. love seeing the same build getting the love it deserves.
Those glasses are the PERFECT addition to your repertoire (see last 5 seconds of video).
I still firmly believe that the space and portability options gained by going with an SFF build is not worth all the performance left behind without even mentioning the easiness of upgrading the components
