Surely there are so many factors to consider and a plant that does well in some areas will falter in another and vice versa. So today, we listed down certain factors, and analysed 5 of the plants we thought are the toughest of the tough. Presenting to you a countdown of the hardest plants to kill!

    I love the addition of the ‘toughness perimeters’. I’m not very good at gardening but it helped me understand much better. Much love from the US. Ps: Pothos plants are the best.

      Please help me it's urgent
      I want to install light in my passage where I want to keep my indoor plants
      Right now there is only one led bulb
      It's a small passage
      Should I install more led tubelight ?

    • @GeeksofGreen
      @GeeksofGreen  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mariyumjamshid8839 If you are planning on using growlights, then the distance between the light and the plant has to be very less (around 1 feet), like the plant under a study lamp. When you increase the height of the light (for eg. on ceiling), the light will not be effective in helping the plant grow because it loses its power on account of distance.
      I would suggest you keep very lowlight plants in the passage and they should be able to handle it. If you feel the plants arent doing so well in the low light, you can rotate them and keep them in a bright spot for sometime, and bring them back to the passage after they have received some time of bright light.

    Everything u said is correct even from my experience. Sansevaria need very less watering n tolerates low light n sometimes I put out to sunlight every three days for any indoor plants like zz, aglonema, delicate marble white money plant on moss stick even sansevaria too. I put my aquarium waste water to feed it every 8th day as as a fertilizer n all plants thrives green n lushly grown. Syngonium needs bright sunlight n need watered daily otherwise it decay with brown leaves. Even I take take care of Phalanopsis orchids too. Plants need care n balance of sunlight too but I see many overwater it n some put only red soil n no other mix which is sad n it's kills plants too. Ur video is good for others n beginners too.

    This is the first of your videos that I saw. I have liked 👍 & subscribed to your channel too, specially as the mother-in-law's tongue plant is THE favorite in my list. As yet I don't have it, simply because I didn't got a good healthy one. And because this is a slow growing plant, I didn't want to buy an unhealthy/damadged one and wait a long time for it to look good. I have started gardening since Nov'18. I am at Mumbai. A retired guy of 65years

      Great to know you have taken up gardening Sir! Mother-in-laws tongue can be a bit costly in Mumbai these days especially the bigger ones. Like you rightly said, It is best to wait and buy a good plant. All the best with your gardening!

    As a newbie, I have killed most of the plants in the list 🙈but in my defence- my pothos and diffenbachia attracted mealy bugs so much that they finished off my sansaveria too!
    ZZ and philodendrons seem to survive better in my house and more resistant to mealy bugs - which have taken over my neighbor hood

    My dieffenbachia is just a month old from the day I bought it from the nursery. It had around 10 leaves when I purchased and to just a couple leaves now due to yellowing conditions. I had to snip it off eventually. I don't understand what's really wrong with my caring, I don't let it too dry even, I just keep it mesic.
