I can’t believe how good Hyundai/KIA have gotten with their electric vehicles. This is nearly a trackable SUV, if your tire budget can handle it. I’m not sure it’s my cup of tea at the end of the day, but it just goes to show what Hyundai group is capable of. Very excited to see the Ionic 5 N, I like the styling of the Ionic more than the EV6, but both are beautiful designs in their own way. Best review of this vehicle out there. Great job as usual MM!
I don't recall any of your videos that I viewed where the tires were howling as much as on this car. Was it due to some cheap tires and to much weight?

Fantastic vehicle! KIA and Hyundai need to start offerinc more exciting colours for their high end models. It makes no sense, to me, that there's barely any exterior distinctions from a base model. And totally agree on interior material choices. Not sure +$60 justifies just having a rocket-hatch, when the range is bordeline pathetic. How about a +100 KW battery pack/320 mi range?!? THEN it would be worth +$60K.

A perfect car to dart through in traffic in the commuting route everyday from home to work. Why didn't Kia built this sporty car on CUV platform instead of sedan or coupe? 🤔🤔
Guys. This is an SUV(or CUV). So it should go head to head with other SUV. It has more performance than Lamborghini Urus Performante. It beats in acceleration up to 160 mph and in corners as well because it is lighter and has better grip. This EV SUV is seriously quick and has serious range loss at the same time 😀

Short of the vented seats, didn't really see anything 'missing' here. And as for the vented seats, it is the same issue even in BMWs with the carbon seats.
At the beginning, you mentioned only Tesla and Porsche really being the only "go fast" EVs, until now with this KIA. Lucid Air? Hummer EV, Mach-E GT, Rivian R1T/S, etc all do 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds.
$61k is a chunk. I am buying a medium featured Toyota Sienna AWD for $58k. A $k is a $k. Good review and seeing that car smoking and dragging a leg is badass. They will sell.
It's all good, but why do I want this again? It's fast but is that necessary? Heavy with a limited range. I live rural so the charging network is not fully realized. Excellent review as always.

Can someone pinpoint as to why it looses so much range? Same battery pack than lesser awd models, shouldn’t it drive close to the same distance if driven the same way?
It has a different and more powerful motor in the rear than the normal AWD-models, so even though it cuts of the front motor in the ECO-setting (when the car is rolling) the rear motor still uses more energy . 😊

@@louisolivierfortin They have fitted two inverters at the rear motor as well, and maybe they draw some extra electricity… plus it rides on 21” instead of 20” (GT-Line), which doesn’t help either. Yes, for some it’s a dealbreaker, but for others it’s not that important compared to what you gain. 😊 I ordered one back in May 21, had a test drive a couple of days ago and the word is, that I hopefully will get it sometime between now and June 22. 😊

Yes, the different rear motor takes some of the responsibility however the wheel size has the biggest impact on range. Does so here as well as other EVs. He claims, that with the same winter tyres from his GT-Line (19x8,5) fitted to his GT, he obtains almost identical mileage to the GT-Line when driving along highways with the cruise control activated. On shorter everyday drives around town the consumption is higher, which is no surprise. 😊
Next, let them please invest in optimization. Weight can be dropped hundreds of kilograms I'm sure. 91 kg extra over the regular EV6 GT-line? With the simpler seats. I'd like then to do something like tesla did with the longer and wider Model S Plaid, nice integration of parts bringing a weight reduction with more power and thus normally also cooling needs.

Judging by the silhouettes and size differences between the cars, one may take the place of the Stinger, and the other may take the place of the Cadenza. Kia has also confirmed that every one of their EV models will feature a full on GT variant. Just thought I'd share the news :)
This car is within 5k of an M2 in Canada or the same price as an m340. I don't care how fast it accelerates in a straight line. And nobody should. Launches like that will annihilate that battery and accelerate degradation. I don't understand these vehicles unless you have a ton of extra income and just use it for commuting within a city.
