For the lift arms use the wheel on the side Adrian
The buttons are more so for ploughing/powerharrowing etc, set your height and depth with the controls on the side pillar and you just press up or down them on the left arms
Yeah great video. Great to see the enthusiasm you have for the case. That tractor was brand new when I left Ireland. Those were the type lift arms on the case I was used to but without the adjustable length. I see all modern tractors have what the Massey lift arms are like. Looks way easier.

Nice one Adrian, great to see the case back, great wee tractor, no noise or vibrations in the Massey, i used to top fields on a 20 diesel, the teeth would be shaken in your head, good stuff!

Glad to see the Case back, it's an honest tractor, no laptop needed, been tededing with the older of the fleet of the next doors with an John Deere 2030 and Pheasant tedder compared with the ALOT YOUNGER brother John Deere!!! still love Massey's and my International's/ Case, because I grow up with them.👍

John Conaty is fantastic. Earlier this year we had to replace some body work on our 4200 series massey, everything in stock and delivered the next day. Super job.
I went to secondary school in Kells with John Conaty in 1967.Whenever we meet we have a chat about old times..I bought plenty of bits and pieces from him over the years including a Case MX150..

For the lift arms on the Massey if u want it to go up slow and accurate den use the wheel on the side of it
You can use the wheel behind the 3 buttons for the lift arms to lift and drop them by turning that wheel

Some of your implements are catagory 2 but you’re tractor is catagory 3 for example your fert spreader tips in when you let down a good hydraulic top link with check valve helps to solve that issue

I seen ur massey 6470 in martins garage the other day Adrian and if u put the lift of the tractor in lower u can use the wheel beside it to lift up and down ur link arms

Adrian we have the 7614 I moved the tool box to the top of diesel tank. Should be 2 bolts holding the metal plate on just bolt it on through their. As for the lift arm buttons double press the up one and it works.

Re the case dash. I'd a similar issue on my own 4230. There was a small brown wire that needs to be attached to the negative pole of the battery. Keep up the good work.

That trailer is handy for moving baby calfs from sheds
We have a couple of 77 masseys and for the tool box idea we take them all out and leave them out because lost the one on our very first 77 so we have one in the cab 👍🏻
There should be a small wire that goes down to the battery for the dash check around the battery box it may have broken off .
A quad trailer is really handy for 🐑 sheep. Looks like a neat wee trailer.
Trying out the disc mower myself this year after hearing you raving on about it so much 😉 let the cows graze down the field first then cut it, let them back in an hour or two later and they cleaned it out fierce well, regrowth is fierce even and responded way faster than the topper
Father is concerned that there is nothing to cool down the bed of the mower when using it though as when cutting silage the bottom of the grass being wet is what cools it but you have none of that with the topping
Never had any issues with the bed heating up, it shouldn’t happen really. There’s no comparison in a topper and mower when it comes to a faster regrowth. 👍

Do you not have skid pads on your mower
The rocker is for pre set up and down work ie. Ploughing Harrowing using your new grass sower if you activate the down motion you can use the roller controller it's much safer and easier to control
I was passing through Monaghan the other day and everyone was doing hay, was it a similar story up in Monaghan
The lift feature is for safety but if you hit the up/down button the second time it should stop the lift from movement instead of hitting neutral 😀
would be good to see the dash repair on the case when you get the fella in to look at it

Preferences on a quad trailer
1) centre mount axle
2 ) big enough to put the quad in the trailer to take it for repairs or to another farm etc 👍🏻

Super video, great to see case back,bought a 4210,biggest mistake I've ever made,near broke me,unlike int 674 which still is very reliable tractor.
Your not the first to say that, they were i little more troublesome in fairness. Them 674 were brilliant, drove one for years on a farm I worked on
Had the joy of new Massey 7719 last week drawing bales never had so much comfort nicest tractor I ever drove a tip buy yourself a sparex hydraulic top link have one 10 years now never use old one again

Can I ask 3 questions about the trailer if fully laden does it stand level , has it a stand of its own if you take the quad bike off ? Can you fit a 2nd quad onto it, take it down to a 2nd farm . 3rd question if fully laden your taking the quad off how easy is it weight wise ? Thanks 🙏

Fergie 20 pto not strong enough to give sufficient pressure on power washers
@@MOOBOOSE why wouldn't it? I'd be very concerned about the engine in a tractor if it couldn't run a pressure washer at 540rpm
If shes not blue she'll not do plenty strong enough to run a washer at 540 👍🏽
You don't have to press the button for the link arms every time there should be a setting to change it

Did you replace the input shaft that had splines 1/2 worn where it connected with clutch?
Yes that’s the one 👍
The newer masseys have gone back to the rocker switch and the tool box is on top of the desiel tank
The tool box is the same as the ones on the fendts and the lift inside is pretty awkward in the fendts aswell
The little swiffler thing on the top link throw that away and get a hydraulic one it will make a big difference and it will be handier

You should buy an hydraulic top link for the massey, so can adjust on the go.
Have a few of them, just don’t use them on the mower so I have more precise adjustments on the cutting height

GET A HYDROLIC TOP LINK. There soooooo much handyer than the normal one
I have 3 or 4 here, I much prefer a top link for mowing though

One question about that nugent quad trailer when your driving over bad ground has it hit off the box thats on your quad just that i see the way u have it??
It’s never happened, even with the last trailer which is more or less the same clearance wise. I wouldn’t worry about that at all

U should get a hydraulic ram Adrian for the top link, really handy have it on my own tractor, makes life a lot easier
Have 3 or 4 of them here, but I don’t use them for mowing as I want to be able to set the height so it doesn’t move. Very handy for sure
You can mount a spurious toolbox on the metal plate in front of the diesel cap . Remove the metal bolt on to the plate and refit the metal
Yes that’s what exactly what I’m planning, trying to find something suitable somewhere. Checkered plate perhaps
@@IFarmWeFarm a friend of mine has chequered plate aluminium ones on his masseys and waterproof I will find out where he got them for you. I have a spurious one the same shape and size as a John Deere with no Deere logo on it does the job Conatys would have them I got mine from our Massey dealer
@@IFarmWeFarm I asked my friend where he got his toolbox Byrnes trailers in Bunclody Wexford it’s a small box normally on a ifor Williams but not too big to fit on the Massey fuel tank
