    Hi, and thanks for the awesome video!
    I started playing around 3 weeks ago. Haven't even touched any group content yet-just enjoying open-world activities. Everything you said about leveling and the open world would have been super useful to know a few weeks ago. I learned it bit by bit from many other videos, so it's great to have everything packed into a quick guide🤓

    Thanks for the video, i just wanna point a few things out
    1: you dont need the Icebrood saga to do the strike missions, i could do them before buying Ibs (I did all of them at least once except forging steel, so cant vouch for that one.)
    2: for new players who want to join up, the starting areas' waypoints are unlocked from the start (money shouldnt be an issue since, iirc, you can still use waypoints even if you dont have enough money)
    3: In my opinion, the silver fed salvage-o-matic is a trap, since it costs 1 and a half gold (or 150 silver) to salvage 250 items, whereas a mystic salvage kit costs a bit less than 50 silver for 250 uses. The tiebreaker for getting or not is the convenience of not having to craft one in the mystic forge every faw days/week. (It costs a mystic stone and a blue, green and yellow salvage kit from most merchants.)
    Hope this helps, and great job on the vid !

    17:20 something I found from another video. You can have 3 shared inventory slots, store 1 of each basic tool, then when your done in that character easily swap the premium tools, boom, now you have then available for any other character. Have all your character all have the basic tools for the same benefit 🎉.

    Nice summary of all of the most important parts of the game. Awesome atmosphere as always. ❤

    Haven’t played since April/May 2014 but always considered jumping back in since I was close to crafting twilight. I had half the clovers left then I just needed all those t6 mats for gifts of magic/might and I was done. I had the gift of exploration, gift of battle (the old school way where you needed badges), and I even had got really lucky with dusk (did it the mystic forge way and got it in fewer than a dozen tries). I think I had just ran out of karma for obsidian shards and didn’t have any gold for the mats either. It’s a shame I never finished, I still think twilight is one of the best looking video game weapons I’ve ever seen.

    I wish there was a PvE way of acquiring the Gift of Battle. Why do 90% of legendaries force you to participate in PvP? And yes Im aware you can stack xp boosts and do PvE stuff in WvW, but for many people like me, just knowing I could be killed by another player is a reason to avoid that mode entirely. To me it feels like a means to keep that gamemode alive.

    • @dallassukerkin6878
      @dallassukerkin6878 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Exactly so. I call WvW in particular the Bullies Playground and it is the most hateful of places. To be forced to go there to get Gifts of Battle has been the decisive point of why I do not bother trying to make Legendaries. I did a few but I realised if I persisted I would just quit playing rather than have to go to WvW.
      The players who like that mode {those folk with something wrong with them :sticks out tongue:} say, with complete truth, that they have to do all that map exploration to get the corresponding item. But the point is that that is just boring to them rather than infuriating and reminiscent of being bullied at school.
      Simply put, there should be ways in each game mode to get all that you need.

    I have a question regarding gold farming. I’ve watched a lot of content on this topic but can’t find any strategies for good old mob grinding.
    I’m currently doing the Path of Fire story, and yesterday I was completing a heart in Destiny’s Gorge (Crystal Oasis). I was killing mobs in the Forged Foothold area, and I noticed that nearly every mob dropped blue or green unidentified gear, along with some junk and materials. The mobs also respawn faster than I can kill them. It seemed like a nice and chill solo farming method.
    But for some reason, no one recommends mob grinding or discusses optimization and spots in gold farming guides. Is there a reason for that? Maybe some in-game mechanics that reduce drops or mob spawns over time?

    • @SilhouetteGaming1
      @SilhouetteGaming1  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are diminishing returns on just grinding mobs, and really the reason is because event chain farming is far better because of guaranteed drops. even meta trains yield significantly more gold than just grinding solo, doing WVW or PVP reward tracks are more lucrative than grinding solo. there are some niche material farms like in the branded area that drop teir 4 dust that can be farmed, but the best solo farm for gold is Fishing.

    • @ruslanpankiv8113
      @ruslanpankiv8113 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@SilhouetteGaming1 Whoa, that’s a really fast reply to my comment. Thanks!❤
      Diminishing returns, hmm-that’s what I suspected. It’s an interesting topic to dig into.
      I get that there are probably more profitable methods, but I’ve played a lot of Path of Exile and Warframe, and mindlessly killing mobs while watching videos or listening to podcasts is something I’m used to. I’m not really looking for the most profitable solo farm, just a way to optimize an aspect of the game I enjoy.
      Not sure I’d enjoy fishing-usually don’t like that mechanic in games (or in real life, to be honest😅).
      But implementing diminishing returns for mob grinding makes sense as a soft way to combat bots, if they exist in this game but probably exist-they exist in every MMO, after all😞

      @BenjaminZ666 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm by no means an expert in the game but thought I'd chime in on this topic. Mob grinding or killing adds for loot is simply not an effective strategy in this game in particular.
      A majority of lucrative loot and rewards are tied to event completion, either by opening chests at the end of metas or directly given to you on the right hand side of your UI similar to achievement rewards. This is the reason almost no guide recommends mindlessly grinding and killing adds over and over again. In fact, adds/mobs barely reward anything worthwhile on kill, compared to other more traditional MMOs you may have come across. I'm sure there are exceptions, but it is an interesting thing that you brought up that is different compared to other games.

      some mobs that drop t3 or t4 items can be valueable to farm but that's it more or less also depends on the market prices and there are so many different ways to get gold so its hard to say just farm mobs for hours

    I try playing it recently but all I see is how you NEED TO switch between 3 gear sets nonstop bcs thats how the game is meant to be played and you miss 50% of dps due to weapon switching buffs and I find that very off putting. Thats not casual . I like ranged style magic/pet based but here any ranged class is forced to melee anyway. From all I saw , it looks like youre stuck isolated in easy pve content since you get kicked out of anything else if youre not the melee meta with 250apm.

      @@at6062 This is really the first MMO I played that felt alive from the very start. Seeing hoards of people roaming around doing bosses and events while I explore and figure out wtf is going on is great, even got some unusable 80lvl gear by just being near to a boss fight and looking up ppl costumes. Couple times me and prolly some other noob kept getting destroyed by a mini boss only to have some dude getting off his flying mount and kill it for us then going about his business, that felt great. What drives me off though is the skill system which looks like a clusterfuck of needing to be aware of 40 small interconnected interactions at once to pull off damage while weapon switching. I'm having an issue where my fingers get completely numb if I click too fast and looked up even the "low intensity" builds I see on youtube require you to click 10 things all the time to do half the damage your class is otherwise capable. I sort of did my own stuff filling with passive buffs wherever possible but they seem to give the lowest return, any hero/miniboss enemy just 3 shots me and my pet.

    I think you should have specified that Mystic Coins are never to be sold since you need a metric ton of them for legendary crafting down the line. I would game end myself if I was selling them in the beginning when I knew nothing.

    • @UphillHook
      @UphillHook 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Nope as e new player you need alot of gold early so selling mystic coins is better

    • @petrkabelka
      @petrkabelka 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@UphillHook Not really, I remember spending the early game "poor" and it wasn't a problem at all. Also, good luck getting those Mystic Coins when you need one full stack of 250 per legendary. Selling them is one of the worst "advice" I've ever heard.

    • @petrkabelka
      @petrkabelka 19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @ You kind of don't know that when you're starting. And that's exactly my point. You sell all of them because you think you don't need them and somebody that's more experienced than you tells you it's ok. Then year or two later you realize you actually want to do some legendaries and you could have had like two full stacks waiting for you, but now you have to start from scratch.
