last year, I was gifted a Joker nomad 6.5 ( the blade is actually 6.75" but that's what they call it) it is a VERY solid knife. I have done a bit of testing on it, and plan to use it quite a bit more this summer. it did everything I have asked of it, and I have seen zero damage. I am a bushcraft kind of guy. I have been heavily involved in bushcraft since several decades before that was even a term. Joker really does have a good team building their blades. I really prefer a smaller knife for a primary field knife. I think the 5 might be a better fit for woods carry for me. I tend to have larger knives in my pack, if I am carrying them, with a 4-5" on my hip. I will say, that is the first time I ever saw anyone baton with a dead blow hammer.
At the beginning of the video you wondered if they have a smaller version. They do, sort of. Its called the camparo. It got a 4.25 blade, full grind instead of saber, and a v edge in Sandvik steel. If you hunt i highly recommend.

Thank you for the video. A good looking knife with a pretty great sheath. I'm not a bushcrafter myself and really only own two knives that would fall into this category...but this knife is really tempting...

I also like the Nomad 6.5. I also now have two Cudeman knives that have even better leather sheaths. I really like the Made in Spain Knives (5 total now). Even Victorinox the Swiss Army Knife Co., has their bushcraft knife made in Spain.
I love my Joker Nomad 5" and it's also my first experience with both a true convex grind and Bohler N695 steel as well--so far, it's held up and performed admirably. 👍Joker seems to get their heat treat right and their quality is very good. I also own a Joker Canadiense in 14C28N and I had an Ember before, also in 14C28N--I gave the Ember away to a friend as a gift last year, though. Anyway, for the money Joker is a great value and I highly recommend them. That wood just wouldn’t give. I’ve battoned wood like it and it’s not fun. The vibrations are killer. Keep up the great work mate and ignore the nay sayers.
My full convex knives are mean choppers. I have a Condor Pack Golok that is a beast. I had to thin it out a bit but now it’s amazing.

Joker has a very good reputation I'm a little off topic but in the UK there's a company that imports utica knifes the 5 and 7 are they any good ?

@@peterbiltknifeguy basically thoughts after some use. I kinda just want to know your over all opinion after having it for the little while so far. Because first vid was bad vibes but second was ok ok so far ish but never got a final opinion. Saw shorts of that stabbing and stuff. Looked great
nice video, I am still deciding on getting the nomad, I own several Esses, PR4, 3, Izula II and the CR 2.5, I do mostly car camping and fishing trips, I keep a Fiskars axe and a Silky saw, seems that I should more than covered for any task but I really like the design of the Nomad, seems it would not be a good knife for food prep… we build small fires to chill around at night and sometimes use wood for barbecuing, I think this ,may be a good do it all knife and not an excellent knife in any task?
How about sharpening a convex grind?

I hate the term “Bushcraft”, it makes think of someone practicing Wilderness Survival Skills in the Australian Bush, you know, Mad Max territory were you need binoculars to find the nearest tree...was a bit surprised that you were trying N695 again til I heard your reasoning. I was real early for once on The Last Huntsman’s LT Wright Forest Trail knife but someone still beat me to it...I tried!
