I just watched your video and learned so much! I had no idea about the need to add baking soda. I’m sure your pie was delicious. You have quite the gardening and cooking repertoire.
Im growing these now. Im excited to give these a try in either pie or jam. I have alkaline soil and haven't been able to successfully grow blueberries. Garden Huckleberries may be a perfect replacement.

Good luck with the process, I still have one packet of the processed berries from last year.
In Cameroon like most parts of Africa, we only consume the leaves and tender terms. I have never known that they consume the fruits
The fruits are not very tasty, that's why they need to be cooked plus added sugar.
