It's so weird seeing people being so in awe of places that I take for granted, like Boulders and Chapman's Peak. Hope you enjoy your stay! Any other fellow Capetonians?
Hey! Since you are a local, I was wondering if I could get your perspective on the current water crisis. Hear about it a lot but not from a local point of view.
I live in Cape Town and have been here my whole life so as locals we don’t really take take note of the beauty cas it’s so familiar to us and kind of like all we know. Nice to see people from the US ‘s perspective of the mother city.
I just came back from cape town last week, and I have to say it’s the most beautiful place in the world! I remember before I went, I use to watch Luis and your videos to get an idea of SA. Now, I watch this video and I want to go back!! Just wanted to say Love your vlogs and they have helped me for my holiday 💖
To put into perspective how much these videos mean to me, I have found out last night that my friend has ended her life. After a sleepless night watching this video to calm my mind it, it did help. Thank you for your positive vibes and outlook on life. Means a lot.
Wow, I’m so so sorry for your loss, I can’t even imagine what you’re going through. I’m sending you a big hug across the world ❤️ thank you for this message, I hope you feel some love coming at you from me and the rest of our family on here (as I know everyone who reads this will be sending you love and a hug as well) ❤️❤️
What a fabulous Vlog and I just really like your style. Cape Town has been an Instagram dream. The photos you have shared from there have been amazing. Just love those Penguins owning that beach. So cool. I hope you have a wonderful day Raya, wherever you may be at the moment.
It's so nice to see foreigners enjoying and appreciated my home city. I am from Cape town and Chapman's peak drive is my favourite as well. Awww this video reminded me of how I am just surrounded by beauty. I hope you had an amazing experience. You should totally take a drive to cape point next time, where the two oceans meet.
Sweet, stunning, touching...all the above. I'm speechless as well as breathless. And those lovely adorable school kids! Gave this thumbs up even before watching Raya..since you never ever disappoint :) You all seem to have coped pretty well with the water crisis there! Which, last I heard ( couple weeks back) has eased some..which is awesome news
Thank you Scott, your support means so much! It was actually much easier than I expected to get used to using significantly less water, and I don't know if I'll ever go back to using as much as I was before! I'm so so happy the crisis has eased a bit as well! 🙂
You’re such an inspiration to me. You have a humble sweetness about you and a true talent for videography. Please keep traveling and keep documenting your adventures... we love you!
I died when I heard that. Physical Education was cut out as a separate subject and including in Life Orientation (one of its main focus points). How misinformed lol
i was born and raised and johannesburg but a little over a month ago we had to move here to cape town. 3 days ago it was my bday (on july 20) and we went over chapmans peak to get to clay cafe. chapmans peak view was incredible. we have obvi gone a few times but it still gets me. ps. here a year after youve uploaded this (here in 2019) but im here! 😂💗
I grew up in Cape Town and am still amazed by how beautiful it is. Great vid! I'm a bit confused about the bit about physical education getting cut out of the curriculum in 1994 as it was compulsory for me all the way up to 1999 when I left. Interested to know where this info came from or if other South Africans had a different experience to me.
From ny been to capetown twice and absolutely love it. Beautiful scenery gorgeous women great food . What more do you need? Boulders beach was pretty awesome , table mountain is cool as well. Im considering retirement here .beaches are so beautiful too
WHen I saw your photos on Instagram, I added to my list renting a Jeep for photo shooting. I love the photos next to the beach while the sun is setting down
Very nice video! I was just wondering, as I haven't been in SA in ages and that you guys were living there for a little bit, were you affected by the water crisis? Your video is fairly recent and people rarely talk about the issue in their adventures, I'm curious to hear your perspective. Dope video again though.
Hello guys, I am also planning to visit Cape Town. and I heard many safety concerns. What are the consideration I should be aware of to make my stay safe and enjoyable?
Lovely vlog! Thanks for sharing(: now that I’m planning my move, I need to know how much rent is...I’m hoping it’s not more than portland Oregon where I am now 😂😂
Makes me miss home. Just a clarification, we still have physical education t schools. It's just part of the Life Orientation curriculum which is often understaffed.
Hi Raya, could you help give direction from parking to where you can access boulder beach penguins without having to pay the admission fee? Many thanks!
Thanks Raya for giving us the peek into your time in Cape Town. I was just there and so cool to relive some of the places but with much better video then I took lol. Safe travels onward.
I love your videos in Cape Town! I’ve been to Africa twice but i was in mafikeng and the villages around there so we didn’t make it to Cape Town but it’s so fun living through your vlogs. For the lack of usable water you do a great job in making you hair look so healthy! How do you do it!?
It's so weird seeing people being so in awe of places that I take for granted, like Boulders and Chapman's Peak. Hope you enjoy your stay!
Any other fellow Capetonians?

Noooo.... We have physical education in LO, its just not a separate subject...
I don't think the physical education in Life Orientation is near sufficient. hahaha.
I died when I heard that. Physical Education was cut out as a separate subject and including in Life Orientation (one of its main focus points). How misinformed lol

How do you feel to live in the first city to lose all drinking water
they still have drinking water though? they were about to become the worlds first city to loose drinking water until they got rain
That's a whole conspiracy! They used that as an excuse to increase the price of water.
What helicopter company is that? That would be an amazing experience !! -Christine
