P’Li has never been confirmed to be the combustion bending assassin’s daughter. We have never found out his name nor if he had family. It is an assumption many have made but until the creators of the show confirm it, it is just a theory. All Zaheer did was shave and cut his hair yet many people don’t realize who he is until Kya shouts his name. His voice doesn’t change and he has a distinguishable scar over his eye. Zaheer studied Guru Lahima which he stated when the White Lotus brought food to his prison cell and learned he could air bend. 😊
Regards P'li, the showrunners explicitly stated that she is _not_ related to Combustion Man. I think another commentator confirmed that it was mentioned in a Q&A the showrunners did.
If she was his daughter it wouldn’t make sense. It would mean that she’s somehow older than all of team avatars children. Bumi is like 70 years old, Kya 60’s, Tenzin & Lin 50’s
"Can he change the way he looks?" You mean like shave his head and beard? Nah, that's impossible 😂 To be fair, he looks quite different because half of his head was covered by long hair, but the scarred eyebrow was a clue 😊 Furthermore, he quotes gurus and air bender tales all the time, in other words, his background knowledge of air bending, transcendence etc. explains why he seems to be so natural with it, although his style is very militaristic and not pacifistic at all.
For ones who don't know about it: Lahima is a concept used in yoga. Internally is a level of concentration that can provide a very interesting skills (at least in concept) 19:39 the only thing I can say is Lin's behavior is justified, and that is all I can tell
22:06 "That is not Zaheer's body or voice." - Wow.... the Mandela effect is out of this world... I thought I was done roasting this guy in the comments, but every time Spartan talks about Zaheer's new look, another gold nugget surfaces...
It was not an "epic theory" 🙄. Azula would be an old lady, with minimum 30 yr gap between her and Zahir. Love you guys ❤ but that's on you for expecting it.
Ridiculous Azula theory aside, people still regularly speculate that P'li is somehow Combustion Man's daughter or rather his descendant. However, the showrunners later explained in a Q&A that they are _not_ related at all. LIke @zulzul2836 mentioned, just two benders with a similar abilities.
@@tar-mairo To be fair, when there is a one-of-a-kind type of special bender, with something as unnatural and weird as an eye in the middle of their forehead that sent explosions around, it would not be a stretch to think they are related, not just... ya know, another random super unique unrelated bender with the exact same skill. That is a bit strange.
I'll never understand how reactors don't realize that's Zaheer. Do they not see his face? Do they not hear his voice? Do they not notice his music cues? On the other hand, I'm increasingly convinced that if i ever have to go on the run, a haircut and a shave are more than sufficient as a disguise.
A devilishly smirking, mysterious guy with a strange interest in the Avatar and surprisingly good air-bending appears at the temple and snoops around... (OH, and might I add that he has a very specific/unique scar in his eyebrow as well!!) "HMMM, DOESN'T HAVE LONG HAIR AND BEARD LIKE ZAHEER THO, SO WOULD COULD IT BE????" :D People are so dumb I swear. Oh
"I'm increasingly convinced that if i ever have to go on the run, a haircut and a shave are more than sufficient as a disguise." nah, the general population is way smarter. something about the demographics of TH-cam reactors who are successful - they are either at least quite smart, or at least pretty dumb, but very rarely in between. the average people almost never gain any TH-cam traction.
Spartan: "can he change the way he looks". Bro im crying. I don't know why but that just made me laugh so hard. First that they didn't recognize the fact it was Zaheer even though he sounds exactly the same and they play the same sound queue. But even after he reveals himself he still is in disbelief LOL. And yes it is very possible to change the way you look, it most definitely doesnt require any powers jajaja
One theory going around is that Sokka died in battle with the Red Lotus (Zaheer, P’Li, Ming Hua, and Ghazan) when he fought with Lord Zuko, Chief Tonraq, and Tenzin. It’s believed that’s why Katara was okay with Korra being trained in isolation with the White Lotus to protect her, after seeing how dangerous the Red Lotus was. I definitely want to see more about Sokka and Suki’s stories but I kinda appreciate this theory.
P’Li just has the same ability as combustion man. There is no confirmed relation between them. Lins story line is so sad and makes sense as to why her personality is the way it is. Zaheer… how did you not notice 😂😂
Oh, Spartan and Pudgey... To make this even funnier, apparently in the original storyboard there _was_ a scene where Ming-Hua shaves Zaheer's hair with an ice razor but it was cut out. Lol.
Jokes a lot of people don’t recognize zaheer when he shaves at first but it’s funnier spartan is sooo adamant it’s not him even after they call him by name lol
Zaheer can indeed change the way he looks. By wearing different clothes and cutting his hair. Because he has a distinctive facial scar that is still there it wasn't enough in the Avatar universe, but apparently plenty enough for Spartan.
P'li is most likely not combustion man's daughter, since that guy died 70 years before the story even starts. It's just a very rare trait to be born with for firebenders. Azula would've been at least 84 if she was still alive, which is probably very unlikely. Then you'd also have to take into consideration that she'd still be the same as she was as a teenager. For all we know she escaped and turned into a calmer person who lived the rest of her life hiding. I mean, she knows the mother of faces, she could pull that off. I know that that's an extremely unlikely scenario, but I do think its more likely than her not changing a single bit over 70 years and then joining a team of terrorists, who don't share her ideology and started when she was in her sixties.
It's hard to tell ages sometimes in Avatar, but Zaheer, Ming Hua(waterbender) Ghazan (earthbender), P'Li (firebender) are at least mid 30's to 40s at most. Zuko is 87 at this point, which leaves most of the gang in their 80s at the youngest. Which means Azula would theoretically be 85 as she is only 2 years younger than Zuko. It's understandable why you had the theory of Azula being part of the team if you don't remember how much time has passed, but I don't think Zaheer would date a 85 year old hahaha Also understand that the grey hair can throw you off on age but sometimes people get grey hair because of stress, being malnourished, etc.. so not strange for Zaheer to have them since he was imprisoned for years. And P'Li while having the same ability as combustion man is NOT his daughter because of the many years that have passed, she just has the same ability as him. If she was his daughter she would be like 70 years old.
@@agresticumbra that may be possible, but hair dye in the Avatar universe didn't really exist until Varrick and Ginger in Season 2 and not a lot of time has passed since then nor have we seen any characters use hair dye. (with the exception of one of the "bandits" with the tax money that Korra and Asami fought for the Earth Queen)
I think its a lot easier to pick up that its Zaheer when you binge episodes of the show. If you take a break between episodes I think the Clark Kent effect takes over for this episode, since so many reactors tend to miss it, haha.
Lin really did become the most compelling character. Lin being rude and salty to her sister and her sister’s family is interesting. While i have a soft spot for the Kya Lin ship despite it’s complete lack of cannon… i will say that i like this show depicting and older woman who loves her family and wants the best for them but not pressured into being a mother herself. There are a couple of awkward moments in this regard but in general the show does not punish Lin for not having children or getting married. Family oriented women are just expected to be wives and mother and this doesn’t do that. I have more to say on the next episode so i’ll leave it here.
That is the main reason why Tenzin left: it was pointless to be with someone like Lin (mainly focused in her career) to formalize a family, simply doesn't make sense. As for Tenzin who had another task as an airbender well, were not many options specially with someone like Lin
There has been a lot of theories that have poped up as to who Su's dad is. The prominent theory is she's Sokka's kid due to her skin tone. That theory spawned a bunch of others as to what happend to Suki after AtLA the biggest being she died and while consoling Sokka, he and Toph ended up conceiving Su. As far as I know we have no definitive answer but the way Su is I've always accepted that theory
Guys WHAT is going ON why are you talking about Zaheer SHAPESHIFTING?!!? Saying his voice and body are different!?!? I'm in tears laughing like what is going on right now, he just cut his hair!!
Love this season and episode! 17:28 😂😂😂 It's called a haircut and a change of clothes. 18:42 Bro... I don't get your confusion. It's Zaheer. His voice and face are the same. You're either overthinking this or underthinking it. Either way, I love it 😅.
lmao Zaheer just shaved his head and you guys are like new mobile who dis :D aaaaaaah he is still going on about how he is not zaheer im dead , the iconic voice Henry Rollins , the long winded speeches , guru laghima all giveaways....... when they introduced zaheer the first sentence he said was " have you ever read the poetry of the great guru laghima"
I find it funny that they think P’ LI is combustion man’s daughter, even though we saw combustion man die when he fell off that cliff at the western air temple. How would he have a daughter?
Maybe a descendant then, but even that was debunked by the showrunners in a particular Q&A where they explicitly said that Combustion Man and P'li are _not_ related at all.
@@johanluisrivas8016 they really do look alike, plus there's some hints. Sue's love for meteorites. Sue and Lin have different skin colors, and it matches Sokka's. @@veronicalima9772and most likely the reason why Sokka and Suki didn't end up together, and why Toph doesn't talk about her baby daddies to her daughters.
I think you guys are failing to realize that this show is about Korra and not the OG Avatar team. Just because they don’t include azula or sokka, doesn’t mean that that is a negative about the show. This is a new show so the lack of representation from the old show shouldn’t be a telling of how much you guys enjoy the series. I think that the show does more than enough to include call backs and cameos of the old show to satisfy fans. This show is about Korra and the new team avatar at the end of the day.
If you picked up the music cues in this series, you would've realized that was actually Zaheer even when the haircut was effective. ATLA and LOK always put certain scores for certain characters, like in ATLA everytime Azula appears they play this certain tune.
Pudgey is adorable by her Azula theory was not a "good" theory. It was grasping as she wasn't taking in the 70+ years since ATLA storyline ended. They have exactly the same issue with the bad theory that P'Li being Combustion Man's daughter she would have to be over 70 even if he conceived her the night before he met Zuko. That math doesn't math.
It's believed that earth bending masters can live long lives. Like king Bumi was 112, Avatar Kyoshi lived for over 200 years, makes sense Toph would still be alive
It still blows my mind that all the new characters, all the locations, all the world building we got in season 3 almost never happened. Korra was not intended to have more than 1 season initially and yet they were still able to come up with such an amazing arc blows my mind.
Zaheer had a clean shave and you couldn't recognize him xD you can see the scar on the eyebrow. Aang was older than EVERYONE being 112 when he defrosted. Kiyoshi being the longest lived avatar was over 200 when she passed.
Sorry Spartan is getting roasted in the comments but it's funny... A man with long hair and a beard appears later with a bald head and clean-shaven face... Indeed... he has the ability to change how he looks... That was the funniest part of the video....
she doesn't need to be combusion man's daughter, it could be they both belong to a certain cult or school of fire bending. Maybe there are more combusion benders but really rare that we don't see them.
Lol yep its Zaheer himself. Its his body and voice. He just shaved his face and head. I don't blame you though, I didn't recognize him my first go around either. Its really cool because when you think about it facial hair and such really does alter a persons looks drastically. I've seen many videos of people shaving for the first time and kids dont recognize them. I am so excited for coming episodes, trying not to spoil anything cause its all so cool!
Dang, I forget just how hard the family stuff hits in Legend of Korra! It may not be as consistently good as Last Airbender, but when it gets it right, it’s amazing!
21:42 Oh my God... I didn't watch up until this point before I made comments about Spartan not recognizing Zaheer... I joked around implying that Spartan thought Zaheer could transform... I didn't know that the idea of shaving was more farfetched to him than literally shape-shifting... He rejected the idea of a simple razor when Pudgy brought it up and went straight for the tinfoil hat... I didn't know it was that bad... this is lizard-man conspiracy theory...
Your'll guys reaction are the best.. Everytime I watch one episode, I come STARIGHT here to see if you will get amazed like how I did... I watch it alone and no one to talk too about it but with urll around.. You give me company.. Thank you'll 🙂👌
“That was not Zaheer’s body or voice. Unless he has some body-shifting technique” he says to the guy with Zaheer’s exact body and voice lmfao. In fairness, he does look significantly beefier in this outfit than his initial prisoner uniform.
Woo, I was like # 1000 😎 This is one of my favorite episodes of Book 3 - Lin got the short end of the stick with not much to do in Book 2, but her Book 3 arc is amazing
We need a transparent picture of Zaheer and Yoru laid over one another for comparison... Because Spartan doesn't believe that razors exist and he thinks that Zaheer has a different face now.... - How could Spartan possibly link the new 6'6 master Airbender who likes to recite ancient Airbender poetry with Zaheer?

To be fair, he looks quite different because half of his head was covered by long hair, but the scarred eyebrow was a clue 😊
Furthermore, he quotes gurus and air bender tales all the time, in other words, his background knowledge of air bending, transcendence etc. explains why he seems to be so natural with it, although his style is very militaristic and not pacifistic at all.
love the way how they think its impossible for him to just shave 😂😂
21:47 "Did he shave?" "No." 🤣💀
The immediate shutdown from Spartan had me in stitches. I was not prepared for him to be so against a simple shave haha.
The mental gymnastics from that point on are truly mindboggling and hilarious to watch 😂
I love these guys.
For ones who don't know about it: Lahima is a concept used in yoga. Internally is a level of concentration that can provide a very interesting skills (at least in concept)
19:39 the only thing I can say is Lin's behavior is justified, and that is all I can tell
22:06 "That is not Zaheer's body or voice."
- Wow.... the Mandela effect is out of this world...
And now they call her "Combustion Man's daughter" (who would be 60+ at the least). I think they just don't know how numbers work.
Ya, they are trying too hard to connect ATLA with LOK, shes just a unique bender similar to combustion man
@@masansr Yeah numbers and age are not their strong point, and apparently also shaving hair is an impossible magic 😂
And a pair of glasses 😅
A devilishly smirking, mysterious guy with a strange interest in the Avatar and surprisingly good air-bending appears at the temple and snoops around... (OH, and might I add that he has a very specific/unique scar in his eyebrow as well!!) "HMMM, DOESN'T HAVE LONG HAIR AND BEARD LIKE ZAHEER THO, SO WOULD COULD IT BE????" :D People are so dumb I swear. Oh
"I'm increasingly convinced that if i ever have to go on the run, a haircut and a shave are more than sufficient as a disguise."
nah, the general population is way smarter. something about the demographics of TH-cam reactors who are successful - they are either at least quite smart, or at least pretty dumb, but very rarely in between. the average people almost never gain any TH-cam traction.
😂😂😂😂😂 bruh Spartan thinks body shifting is more likely than Zaheer shaving
11:38 "So I assume he's with Zaheer"
Guys... that is Zaheer?
Yeah this part cracked me up. So many reactors astonished what a quick shave can do.
Oh, Spartan and Pudgey... To make this even funnier, apparently in the original storyboard there _was_ a scene where Ming-Hua shaves Zaheer's hair with an ice razor but it was cut out. Lol.
I hope Pudgey never gets a hair cut….Spartan will be like who are you!! I was dying laughing at how adamant he was that’s not Zaheer
Underrated comment xD
"WHO ARE YOU WOMAN?!?" 😂😂😂
Jokes a lot of people don’t recognize zaheer when he shaves at first but it’s funnier spartan is sooo adamant it’s not him even after they call him by name lol
Ah yes. Zaheer and his secret shapeshifter technics called "shaving".
It's understandable why you had the theory of Azula being part of the team if you don't remember how much time has passed, but I don't think Zaheer would date a 85 year old hahaha
Also understand that the grey hair can throw you off on age but sometimes people get grey hair because of stress, being malnourished, etc.. so not strange for Zaheer to have them since he was imprisoned for years. And P'Li while having the same ability as combustion man is NOT his daughter because of the many years that have passed, she just has the same ability as him. If she was his daughter she would be like 70 years old.
Or, perhaps, Zaheer greyed prematurely because it's a family trait. It's not uncommon here on this planet, but many color their hair to cover it up.
The thing is he sounds the same and has the same eyebrows, and is like an air nomad genius lol
Lin definitely shares a lot of similar traits with her mother.
That is the main reason why Tenzin left: it was pointless to be with someone like Lin (mainly focused in her career) to formalize a family, simply doesn't make sense. As for Tenzin who had another task as an airbender well, were not many options specially with someone like Lin
"wasn't his body or voice" sounds exactly like him lmao🤣
The only error was believed that combustion man had a daughter almost 70 year ago and look like 40.
Could be a granddaughter
17:28 “Can he change the way he looks?” 😂 Highlight of the reaction right here
There has been a lot of theories that have poped up as to who Su's dad is.
Classic spartan flop, it's literally Zaheer shaved
Cant imagine season 4 😂 when korra did something similar.
@@reeeyouKorea still has plenty of hair, wtf are u talking
@@caseinnitrate2004 no i mean to say it's just a change of hair and they couldn't recognise the character.
@@reeeyouthem: "Did Korra just disappear?!?" 😮😂😂😂
@@Mike90317 "Wait a minute who's this chick she's kinda sus"
Zaheer just shaved his head and face.. lol
I wonder if spartan and pudgey watched superman and did not recognise him as clark kent either :D
Finally someone who actually loves Bolin. Eska was too crazy. Glad Bolin got Opal.
Guys WHAT is going ON why are you talking about Zaheer SHAPESHIFTING?!!? Saying his voice and body are different!?!? I'm in tears laughing like what is going on right now, he just cut his hair!!
Love this season and episode!
17:28 😂😂😂
It's called a haircut and a change of clothes.
18:42 Bro... I don't get your confusion. It's Zaheer. His voice and face are the same.
You're either overthinking this or underthinking it.
Either way, I love it 😅.
A popular fan theory is that Sokka is Suyin's father. I wholeheartedly believe this!
"Can he change the way he looks?" Yes its called a haircat and shave
lmao Zaheer just shaved his head and you guys are like new mobile who dis :D aaaaaaah he is still going on about how he is not zaheer im dead , the iconic voice Henry Rollins , the long winded speeches , guru laghima all giveaways....... when they introduced zaheer the first sentence he said was " have you ever read the poetry of the great guru laghima"
Pli is a combustionbender though never confirmed to be the daughter of combustionman from the last airbender.
Many parents die when their children have already been conceived
It's actually the most common time for parents to die, when they've already had children
"He can change the way he looks?" Yeah it's called shaving
Trivial Fact: Anne Heche played the voice of Suyin Beifong, but she recently passed away sadly. RIP man 😔 i loved her as an actress.
i simply love the theory that Sue is actually toph and sokka's daughter. her sons look exactly like him
Wtf xd
@@johanluisrivas8016 they really do look alike, plus there's some hints. Sue's love for meteorites. Sue and Lin have different skin colors, and it matches Sokka's. Huan (Sue's son) looks exactly like Sokka, Bataar Jr also looks like him. plus, we know from ATLA that Toph kinda had a thing for Sokka at some point lol, maaaybe they had a fling
@@veronicalima9772and most likely the reason why Sokka and Suki didn't end up together, and why Toph doesn't talk about her baby daddies to her daughters.
17:29 You can, too! Try shaving
´´Zaheer? Can he change the way he looks?`` Yes bro he can
By shaving everything of his head LMAO
I think you guys are failing to realize that this show is about Korra and not the OG Avatar team. Just because they don’t include azula or sokka, doesn’t mean that that is a negative about the show. This is a new show so the lack of representation from the old show shouldn’t be a telling of how much you guys enjoy the series. I think that the show does more than enough to include call backs and cameos of the old show to satisfy fans. This show is about Korra and the new team avatar at the end of the day.
Omg, yessssss
If you picked up the music cues in this series, you would've realized that was actually Zaheer even when the haircut was effective. ATLA and LOK always put certain scores for certain characters, like in ATLA everytime Azula appears they play this certain tune.
17:27 Most people can. It's called a shave and a haircut.
17:27 "can he change the way he looks?"- Yes he can! It's called shaving... 😁😁😁
Finally, the introduction of Suyin BAE-fong 😮💨
Yeah....no, too much secrets with that woman
Zaheer had a clean shave and you couldn't recognize him xD you can see the scar on the eyebrow. Aang was older than EVERYONE being 112 when he defrosted. Kiyoshi being the longest lived avatar was over 200 when she passed.
Spartan would hate Superman but be best friends with Clark Kent.
Sorry Spartan is getting roasted in the comments but it's funny...
A man with long hair and a beard appears later with a bald head and clean-shaven face...
Indeed... he has the ability to change how he looks...
That was the funniest part of the video....
😂 ya’ll really couldn’t tell that it was Zaheer, just a shaved off head and beard. His voice is the same. Lol
bro i shapeshifted this morning
she doesn't need to be combusion man's daughter, it could be they both belong to a certain cult or school of fire bending. Maybe there are more combusion benders but really rare that we don't see them.
Yes, the rare, supernatural body-morphing technique of shaving.
Comparing...
Yeah Toph getting around is a tough pill to swallow but I love that dynamic in a realistic sense.
Zahir didn't do an elaborate disguise, he just shaved his head
Your'll guys reaction are the best.. Everytime I watch one episode, I come STARIGHT here to see if you will get amazed like how I did... I watch it alone and no one to talk too about it but with urll around.. You give me company.. Thank you'll 🙂👌
That's awesome! we're really glad you're enjoying the show and our reactions ♥️🙏🏼
Kya is actually a good fighter.
Proof people would fall for the Clark kent glasses trick 😭😭
Guys, there is a thing called, haircut and shaving. Hahahahahaggaagahga
"Can Zaheer change the way he looks?" you mean shave?
We need a transparent picture of Zaheer and Yoru laid over one another for comparison...
Because Spartan doesn't believe that razors exist and he thinks that Zaheer has a different face now....
- How could Spartan possibly link the new 6'6 master Airbender who likes to recite ancient Airbender poetry with Zaheer?
It was Zaheer. Crazy how different someone looks when they shave all their hair
17:27 Spartan: "Can he change the way he looks?"
- Yes... in the same way that anyone can change the way they look...

IMPORTANT MOD MESSAGE SPECIFIC TO LEGEND OF KORRA- READ BEFORE POSTING:
********************************************************************************
If you want to say you dislike or like it WITHOUT going into specific details that's fine, but traditional spoiler rules apply for LoK. We must maintain BLIND reactions and opinions for the Legend of Korra content, just as we did with ATLA. That is what people are paying and watching these for.
We are well aware of the heavy debate about these two shows. Please keep the ATLA vs TLOK debate and controversies to our community LoK discord channel AND ONLY THAT CHANNEL. We want those paying for Korra reactions to have an enjoyable time within the community and throughout this experience, and not have to sift through a bunch of hostile and aggressive debating or attacking the show. It just ruins the vibe and the fun, and if enough of it occurs it can also color S&P's reactions and cause them to be less natural, the very thing we are here for.
Thank You !!
ZAHIR shaves and all of a sudden he’s unrecognizable 😆
