Bro , i love how you turn the music down or off when the car flies by or revs ⚡ awesome editing skills . Cant wait to get my S4 next year 💯
Absolutely gotta hear that sweeeet exhaust note 🙌
@@drivenbyboost yesssir🔥
sounds pretty much exactly like an RS5, awesome build mate. Great editing also like many others pointed out.
Not really, completely different engines and turbos producing different sounds
@@DooIydifferent turbo setup yes but not completely different engines, the rs5 just has beefier internals which reduce stroke a bit
@@Anon.G is that why it’s 2.9 and the s5 is 3.0?
@@DooIy yes exactly
Dude that thing sounds NUTS!!
I love it!
This channel is so underated
Boys having fun with the build! Sounds great! Maybe add some gasket sealer between the turbo and downpipe with the gasket.
We ended up replacing the oem downpipe gasket and clamp. All is well now.
The edits are clean fr
Love your vids! Will be using these for my continued b9 s4 build!
Appreciate the support! Good luck on your build 🤙
also, the homie dynamic here is solid haha good vid
getting my s4 next year, this just made me even more excited
You’re going to love the S4!!!
While this isn’t the easiest to install, it’s definitely worth it. Sounds great mated up to the ECS X-pipe. (Fixed)
Absolutely, *x-pipe*
How do you mate up 2 downpipes in a single turbo vehicle my man ? Had to ask even if dude answered below
@@mikemayers9353 totally meant mated to the ecs xpipe. Not downpipe lol
So I'm surveying everyone with this DP for actual results.
If you have obd11,Carista or even better VCDS. Can you scan and check readiness.
Even though there is no CEL mine and many others do not pass 2 readiness checks - 1 for Catalyst and 1 for rear 02.
Carbnlabs has claimed this is resolved in revision.
dg here. interested to see reply's.
@@Broprotato That's great, however I actually have your 2nd revision from this time last year with the update. I've never gotten a CEL from this, However it's the 02 readiness check that doesn't pass...to clarify these are 2 separate things, even though both might possibly be resolved with better welds... I know the run after mine had some issues with the spacer etc.
I would love to just see a passed readiness check from this setup from someone out there 😅
The stock one is bigger ! Maybe just re use it by taking off the inner stuff ?
Sounds great 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Usually the DP is going to open everything up for a better/louder sound. Not much in the way of HP gain tho, maybe like 4hp? But I’m not sure if anyone’s ever dyno’d to get an actual number… ( but still sounds F’n great 😎 )
The downpipe is where you gain hp. Usually you can gain upwards of 15hp off a downpipe when going catless. It's the catback where you won't see much gain maybe 4hp like you said.
Downpipes give you very noticeable gains on turbo charged cars. The most restrictive part of your exhaust is the catalytic converter. Downpipes give you better turbo spool and flow
@@UnrelatedNonsense yea just gotta tune it after you put dp. ( I always swap mine out, except on our “family “suv. They’re still stock )
034 stage 2 tune will not pop a CEL. And they also have their TCU tune. I’ll be posting a video soon of my S4. Check it out if you guys can
Sounds good man!
We’ll also have a video coming soon with a new tune update. Check out the drivenbyboost IG to see a quick preview.
Future tip for those bottom nuts that are a pain in the ass use an "S wrench" makes the job soooo much easier
Hi, can you possibly measure the decibel volume? Would be enough if you did it with an iPhone.
I am interested because I am from the EU and there are stricter rules.
Just a heads up my left hand side exhaust valve, the one before the back box started to rattle after installing a catless downpipe, just something to look out for
Good call thanks for the heads up!
Yes it did, too much pressure
Yeah started to notice some rattle from it the other day. Hopefully we don’t have to do surgery and remove it.
Were you able to pass emissions test w/ new cat?
I’m not sure if this video helped or made me more nervous about doing the dp install myself
It’s definitely a process but you can definitely do it yourself!
Having a friend along to push/pull might be a good idea as well
What wheels are those? They look just right with the s4.
In this video, what wheels does Mike have on his S4? Does he talk about them in a certain video? I was trying to go back a ways to see what they were.. I like the way they look on a darker colored B9
lol the guy who owns the car is tight
Lmao thanks man
Wow that sounds awesome! Ever notice the smell in car when you are sitting at a stop light? I'm deleted on my TDI Jetta so it prolly isn't quite that bad but if the wind is right you notice it haha
Well it is smelly for sure, but not in the cabin. You can’t idle in the garage anymore 😂
Great video
Which front splitter is that? Looks great
ECS tuning 👍
What is his exhaust setup?? It’s it stock exhaust with catless dp??
ECS tuning x pipe with catless carbnlabs dp
I really don’t like the sound it makes when the car is shifting. Is there a tune to fix this ?
Can you please tell me where you purchased the Quattro grill from....I want to get one for my s5!
Oh okay, soo I'm considering about getting a audi S4 i have two questions: what year should I get?? And how often does the water pump go out??
You can run this dp without a tune? I’ve always thought that you need a tune with a dp
You can run it without a tune 🤙
It has a built in J spacer to prevent getting an O2 sensor code
Where is your front splitter from?
Hey I noticed you have the Suspension Malfunction light on your dash. What’s causing that light? I have a 2018 S5 and I have the same light on. I cannot seem to get it to turn off. I took it to a shop to try and reset it and it wouldn’t go away. I bought a new sensor from eBay and still same issue? I’m thinking I might need the part from Audi directly? Any help would be great.
He has an aftermarket air suspension. So his oem shocks arent connected, which is causing the error light.
@@crazycornuto9 gotcha. Im trying to figure out what could be causing my light to not turn off. I even changed the level sensor on the control arm it didnt fix the issue.
@@faisalvaid7119 have you check to make sure each shock is connected correctly at the plug?
@@crazycornuto9 Yeah on the top of the strut you are talking about? if so, yes its connected. unless there is a connection somewhere at the bottom im missing
I can't wait for my warranty to lapse just 2 years and 5 months left
I just voided mine fuck it haha😂
@@markrippetoe1617same 😂
I’m with you lol while I have a different car sonata N LINE 2.5t I’m itching to unleash moooooo powwwa
did the x-pipe really make much of a difference in sound , or was it all the Downpipe ? also did you remove any resonators or is the exhaust all stock besides the x-pipe ? trying to see what I should do on my b9 sq5. thx
I found my answer further down lol
Still good with no CEL after a couple months running?
would also like to know
Same
I wanna do this to my s5 but im weird and i think the smell will drive me crazy idk should i?
Well it will definitely smell a tiny bit here and there but you will love how it sounds
Do you need the careless tune if there’s one to get a castles down pipe? I have a B9 s4
And also could you use CTS turbo intake with this installed as well
No it should work either way but you have a check engine light if not tuned and yes you can use the CTS intake
Hey where can I get the next best down pipe because carbncar went out of business I heard
i always forget to plug in that line on my S4 lol
What else is done to the exhaust??
just an ECS Xpipe. Whole exhaust is stock otherwise.
Catless dp that is check engine light free? Lmao. Never heard of that.
whaaatttt you can pass emissions with this?
Unfortunately it would be hard to pass emissions but you could fool the emissions sensors of the vehicle
Polska krew, podoba mi sie 😅
Do you guys use All season tires or switch summer and winter tires?
I switch to winters on the s6. But Kulka has all seasons. Not sure about Chris.
@@crazycornuto9 Thanks for the reply back Joey. Just torn if I should buy a set of rims and winter tires or just go all season. NY winter weather is approaching and got to decide bc I’m running summer tires right now
@@tommygunnz130 if you’re going to be buying another set of tires anyway. I’d suggest going for a set of winters. The grip is insane on them.
@@crazycornuto9 any specific brand you like to use? So many choices idk what’s good and bad lol. Mixed reviews on soo many
@@tommygunnz130 I have blizzaks. But have used Michelin x-ice in the past
damn thank god for the white guy with the beard to get it done.
Vlog MVP for sure 🤙
What the name sound????
Power numbers on stage 2? Info 👀
We will have a dyno vlog once spring hits. Gas is bad now and you can feel it in the car.
@@kulka89 are you talking about E85 or 93?
@@sykokilla77 right now it’s just stage 2 93
Armytrix 200 cell all day and no engine light
How bad is the smell
That's a big a** down pipe.
I have a RedStar b9 s4 downpipe with heat shield for sale, if anyone is interested.
Catless?
CarbnChinaLabs* . People still pay resalers for chinese products its mad.
Its too small , it could have been made bigger
Once the catalytic unit is deleted, there is no real reason to keep a big bulky pipe with sharp angles. What matters here is the size of the Y collector which in this case is the biggest on the market and the straight line from the turbine Vband to the y collector. Only reason why the Vband flange diameter on the OEM turbine outlet is large is to accomodate for the big volume needed to package the catalytic unit. As an example, an EFR9174, good for 1000hp will have a turbine outlet of only 3 inches.
Please pay attention to what you're filming instead of just shaking the camera around the whole time, and please get a proper microphone. The production quality is horrible. I literally can't watch this because it's making me sick, and even when I fast forwarded I can't really hear much from the catless car. Thanks for the content, but please focus on the quality.
