Howdy! and welcome to this weird crevasse of the internet where I get really excited about music (particularly Music I never heard of) and break down my favorite singles/albums and songs. English is really a second language here. It is not an optional subject. We get taught English starting pre school. Most of us may not have the accent nailed down, but at least you wont fail to find an english speaker anywhere you go in the country.
its very difficult to make a singing career in the philippines .. the competition is just as competitive as it can be .. everyone can sing! so for a filipino to make a living out of singing, they need to be better than everyone else ..

tutoo po yan..mas nakikita ng ibang lahi ang galing ng mga Pinoy pag dating sa kantahan.....nakakadismaya talaga po,,sa subrang mapili minsan ng mga hurado dito sa ating bansa ang daming umuuwing luhaan.....nagigiging FRUSTRATED singer nalang ang karamihan.....kaya kung bigyan ng pagkakataon?mas maganda nga talagang sa ibang bansa makipagsapalaran pagdating sa pagkanta ang oag uusapan.

Singing here its like having random days or on occassions with our friends and families at home, almost all families here have karaoke or if not we rent for like 10usd/day on fiestas lol, normal days having karaoke with fam, i am a living proof, lol had karaoke with my Papa always almost every weekend, my Father side of the family have nice voices❤ bless his soul😢 i missed him so much, it was like bonding with fam and with karaoke❤ just sharing how it is here😊 thats why we have good singers here😊 thanks so much for featuring Filipinos in your videos❤💐 i love it, you look so good🤭😊🇵🇭
Singing is part of our culture already. You could say that we are a living proof of musical play HAHAAHAH we cannot go through with our day without singing. Good or bad voices we celebrate singing because it is an outlet where we can put out our emotions.

I hear this a lot like Filipino sings good, and I think because we all grew up listening to music. I grew up in a little province somewhere in Philippines where electricity is kinda out during the days and they only turn it on at night. So we can watch TV during night and listen to radio. This is way back 1995, I was like 7yrs old and during the days, aside from playing outside, my friends and I used to play singing contest even though there's no audience. It's just us and we score ourselves 😁😅

Karaoke or without karaoke, few remote places, adults go to their homies place bring guitar beers, hard liquor l, food, that’s when you know it’s about to go down, mostly Filipino’s they drink alcohol with pulotan and sing, students and lil kids they sing for fun
