Not everyone in the Philippines can sing. They needed an audience. And i am one of them, hahahahaha. Please look for other videos of Filipinos singing during a drinking session. Most of them are shy, but once the alcohol sets in, they sang like a pro. Perfect tune and perfect English, hahahahaha. But i think it's not just for the love of singing but for having fun. Thank you.

Just like with my neighbor's wedding pre-celebration night, it was like 8PM when their guest friends arrived and started playing the karaoke (it was so loud cuz its like their house is 15m away from us), and there's a guy singing non-stop for about 11 songs straight, we didn't complain even though it's so loud cuz his voice was awesome like a Chris Daughtry type of voice or something haha.

You are right! The guy with the black bucket hat is an artist. He's the lead vocalist of Icebucket band. He's got quite a following on his social medias especially FB where he's got millions of followers. Limuel right now has just been signed to sing the OST of a famous TV drama-action series by one of the country's leading entertainment network. He also does live performances in different parts of the country.

I know the answer why limuel sounds fascinating., he has that '80s '90s voice that we miss so much. The 4 of them have good voices and have different styles, but i like his the most...reminds me of air supply. Which btw, he nails the songs every forking time.

Singing is a form.of expression..regardless if you have a good or bad voice. People tend to forget that we dont look at singing exclusively for show but a form.of expression. In here it is encouraged even for kids..and if you keep doing it..of course, overtime you get better at it but it isn't like there's something in the water. It is just how we view singing and how we really dont judge ordinary people for expressing themselves through singing. We are not singing to entertain you..we arr singjng because it makes us feel.good and it is a plus if it gets appreciated.

They might sing badly but in the end the place is full of laughter and the surrounding Vibe is not ruined.

They're not professional singers but after this went viral one of the guy joined the singing contest and I think won. My two cousins invited my husband and I in karaoke and surprised one of his brother could sing like those guys. My coworker in Californian she has a goid voice too and sang during Christmas time. So I guess there's so many Filipino singers.

Where'd this dude get the statistic? Lmao. 50% is too high for instrument ability, probably 30% and that's already pushing it. 80% of that 30% is just basic music knowledge. These are just assumptions but from what I've experienced as a musician and the times I've taught music as a sideline, my assumptions are logical.

The shortest answer if all Filipinos can sing? Yes. We usually get trained to sing at an early age. I was introduced to singing Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest songs, while my older brother was trained to sing Whitney Houston, Peabo Bryson, and James Ingram songs. Our first mentors are usually grandparents, then our parents.
You should visit us here at try to get join one of these ïnuman"(drinking) sessions and you'll see raw talent. Lots of fun!

You see now why professional Filipino singers have to be exceptionally good? Coz if they are not, they will get routed by amateurs here. Singing and dancing is a big part of Filipino culture. If you are still in doubt, check out Filipino kids nailing English songs compilation. We start young. If you ever come to the Philippines, I'm pretty sure you will be invited to karaoke drinking sessions. That's how we train singers lolz. 😂

Haha! No, not every Filipino can sing. But it sure feels like almost everyone of us loves singing. So there's a very good chance you'll easily meet a Filipino who's a decent singer just from the amount of practice everyone gets. "Practice", meaning regular weekend karaoke. 😂😆🎵🎶

😂Sing first before you learn how to read. That technic was popularize by the Israelis, Americans, Spaniards long time ago. Sing to understand to prepare yourself going to school. At kindergarten kids sing from gospel songs and kiddie songs. I remember back in the day we sang Zum gali-gali, ave maria, star spangled banner, etc....😂 pretty dove, and local folk songs 😅😮

Fun fact: Having a celebration in the Philippines (be it a birthday, baptism, anniversaries, or any other celebration) it’s so boring if you don’t have a karaoke machine (if not owned, you can rent it for little or more than $10 for 24hrs! You can use it or sing your hearts out from as early as 7am to 10pm at night!). Also it’s in the culture, Filipinos love to sing in any giving circumstances. They forget their problems when they sing. Thats why karaoke related business is still booming here.

well, i gotta say not everybody have a good singing voice but we all sing anyway. some develop their voices to stardom, some good enough for local clubs, bars and hotels, some just sings on birthdays, festivals and then some just sing in the shower, heck we even sing when we're heartbroken just to get it all out. anyways, bottom line is we really just love singing. 😅😅😅
