Hello McMaster, here is a viewer of your TH-cam channel from the Netherlands. I watch on my TV with a different account and now respond via my account on my phone. I'm doubled over laughing at your EV videos. I completely agree with you, EVs are not the future. In an advertisement on Dutch TV, Hyundai says about an EV6 that it can drive another 100 km in 5 minutes of charging. Feel the progress, they say. What progress? I say, my 25 year old VW Golf (MK4) can travel more than 750 km after refueling for 4 minutes 😂. And you were standing in a parking lot with 2 charging stations. Imagine that all the cars in the parking lot are electric, how long do you have to wait before you can continue if 15 percent of all those cars have to charge. And the power grids cannot even handle that capacity. Fewer and fewer electric cars are being sold in the Netherlands and dealers are left with their stock. That's why they want to get rid of those cars and try to tempt you to buy an EV. There are also other reasons why the government wants us to drive electric, the data, but I am not allowed to say anything further about that. Thanks for your vlog, great fun and keep it up! Greetings from the Netherlands, Rick.
Don't be silly ... how else would he be able to post the utter tripe he does so that he can monetise the ICE sheeple if he didn't have something to be able to generate (nonsense) content with? 🙂
😂😂😂😂😂 Just purchased my new 460bhp petrol BMW M2, it’s utterly amazing 🤩 Let’s face it, EV’s are for wife swapping types! The people who visit swinging parties, that dodge imitation holiday place “Center Parcs”. They sometimes go camping 😂
Serious question, have you driven one? A fairly decent 200bhp plus one? I thought the same as you until I lived with one and apart from the £200 a month I'm saving in fuel (costs £25 a month) instead of £250 plus the technology in it and then there's the back roads. Not all EV's are soggy puddings. The weight will drop the power will rise and any petrolhead would be stupid not to own a 600bhp supercar performance EV for 50k.
It is a bigger problem on bank holidays because there are more people on the road but at the moment only a small percentage of people are foolish enough to own EV's. When everyone drives an EV then the queues will be every day and when the delays reach 24 hours (which they will) then no one will be able to travel. The government knows this and THAT is what they want. It is easy to control people when you can restrict their movement and rights. My diesel car can refuel at 20,000 Mph and creates much lower emissions than an EV.
My oil burner also can do that, but I now have to pay to drive into the city. It’s crazy as they are locking us out and we pay all the tax’s for the roads. EV’s will not last past 15yrs wouldout a new battery, it’s simple aging of the chemistry that no one can stop, even if the put their EV in bubble wrap and never drove it. EV’s are disposable units and gas / oil burners can last for 90+ yrs easy if you look after it.
@@marviwilson1853 That’s true, I do not know, but if it’s based on chemistry it will have a definite life. Now if it was a small nuclear battery that they are talking about than I can see it lasting for as long as a ice car
How to protect the environment. To manufacture each EV battery you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. This involves digging up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust for just one battery. The carbon dioxide and other greenhouse emissions that come with the process of lithium mining, extraction and overall production are worse for the climate than the production of fossil fuel-powered vehicles. EVs are not sustainable.
@@jsanders100 Google it yourself. Do your own research. Don't be so bloody lazy if you want to refute it. Typical EV owner. By the way, the owner of Toyota just quoted the same statistic saying it is unsustainable.
I live in Lincolnshire and know large parts of it well, I knew the moment you left the M180 you'd be in a charging desert. There use to be lots of independent petrol stations dotted about too, but they got priced out years ago. Here's an idea for a challenge, try and drive a coastal route, would be interesting to see how viable that would be.

Lee with this UK madness and from the video, your weather, come back to Perth. 21.8mm of rain in the last 6 months. Plus I drive a 4wd diesel here and love battenburg 😂
Geoff buys Cars video about a chap who had his EV’s software updated only to read through the T’s & C’s to find they’d installed Government Geo Fencing & Geo Timing technology. So because the EV has an SOS mode (a connected SIM card), his EV can now be restricted in range, restrict the times you travel and even switched off! - the chap was mortified, he took it back and made them change the car for a lesser model as he didn’t authorise this tracking software. The dealer didn’t even know. If you have an EV check the small print in the software.
I had the romanticised idea that electric cars would work. Something not thought about is the HUGE need to upgrade the power network to meet demand. That is not only production but delivery. The wire in the grid won’t support it. I’ll stick to hybrid. Great vids.
The way I see it the reason why there is no roof over a Electric charger. Is because if they are on fire the smoke will disappear. If it has a roof the smoke will not dissipate Roofs costs money people getting wet is not there problem. There fault for going with Electric cars.
Tesla just added 49,000 EVs into their inventory pool and have now pushed out some of the largest discounts for dealer driven and new Teslas. These discounts are coming close to the combined federal and state US government backed rebates (a max of $7,500 US)! Imagine taking $14,000 off a new Tesla. They will do anything to sell an EV.
I’ve been lucky. My mate at work left last week so I’ve been allowed to swap my company electric Hyundai Ioniq 2021 for his Toyota Corolla sports tourer hybrid.
Why did you buy an EV to begin with, especially one that cost over 100 grand. Did you not research before you bought it?
Don't be silly ... how else would he be able to post the utter tripe he does so that he can monetise the ICE sheeple if he didn't have something to be able to generate (nonsense) content with? 🙂
😂😂😂😂😂
Just purchased my new 460bhp petrol BMW M2, it’s utterly amazing 🤩
Let’s face it, EV’s are for wife swapping types! The people who visit swinging parties, that dodge imitation holiday place “Center Parcs”. They sometimes go camping 😂
Stopped counting the times you said the word charging. Madness!
Madness
I think you have proved that evs are not the future Lee
Long live the ICE, I have no interest in buying a EV vehicle.
@@latitudeash How do you know what battery chemistries are coming in the future? Never predict the future using only todays technology!
@@marviwilson1853 That’s true, I do not know, but if it’s based on chemistry it will have a definite life. Now if it was a small nuclear battery that they are talking about than I can see it lasting for as long as a ice car
@@marviwilson1853 Unfortunately we don't know, but I bet there be little in the next 10 years.
But thanks to you for your excellent videos i was able to spend a wet bank holiday watching and enjoying your channel for the entire day.
After watching these videos I have just ordered a new car, guess what, it's not electric. Thanks
Sources? Evidence? Full report to substantiate this? I’ve never seen any research coming to this conclusion so please direct us to it.
@@jsanders100 Google it yourself. Do your own research. Don't be so bloody lazy if you want to refute it. Typical EV owner. By the way, the owner of Toyota just quoted the same statistic saying it is unsustainable.
Anyone ever seen an electric car towing a caravan ?
You can't recharge without detaching it and parking it up. Charging leads are not long enough to reach when towing.
A magazine has declared an EV towcar of the year! On most chargers you have to diconnect the caravan to charge the tow vehicle.
The Extinction Rebellion are now saying that electric cars are bad for the environment.
What do you mean you can't put a value on your time. Solicitors charge around £120 pounds per hour.
I imagine EVangelists having a tartan flask and blanket and a tin of travel sweets in their milk floats.🫢
From the lions mouth....dealerships will not take an electric car in part exchange....cos they can't sell them.
Strangely though there are live car auctions available to view frequently on TH-cam and EVs are being bought by, wait for it.......
dealers!
Can you explain that?
@@DwaynePipes yes, that is very strange.
@@Annie.artist Maybe you need to speak to different lions ?
The type of lion that actually actively goes out to buy EVs to sell on the used market!
😸
@@DwaynePipes the lion has roarer!!!!!!!!!!!
@@DwaynePipes no need..been in the motor trade a long time. Husband and nephew are both car transporter drivers...so no.
Apple have scaped their EV program after spending 10 million on development...
Disabled people are having EVs pushed on them through the motability scheme even though range anxiety is the last thing disabled people need!
EVs seem to be taking about 15% of the market, with subsidies. I'm guessing it would be less without.
With all the walking while waiting for charging you can add the cost of an extra or two pair of shoes to the cost of ev car negatives...
My son has an EV (company car) called at office with him this week and he put it on charge after 2 hours still wasn’t fully charged, what a pain! He says no way would he buy one! Think that Morag person should get out more! Oh of course she can’t she had to change her car! 😂
Folk up my way are ditching their EVs because they are more expensive to charge than petrol/Diesel take to run plus the inconvenience
there are thousands of FREE EV charging points in the UK.
Have to agree I ditched my ev and now have a hybrid which is far cheaper
@@organickevinlondon
And insurance is free as well. Time for your b00ster Kev...don't worry they're s4fe and 3ffective!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@organickevinlondon depends where you are in the uk, our local council has now put a charge on their charging points, siting the rise in costs!!
Had a Tesco about a mile away but they removed the free charging
I will not even consider an EV until fast charging durable affordable lighter safer solid state batteries come out. 😮😮😮
Your time lapse of the BP fuel station is all we needed... Thanks and keep up the good work.
Lee with this UK madness and from the video, your weather, come back to Perth. 21.8mm of rain in the last 6 months. Plus I drive a 4wd diesel here and love battenburg 😂
That’ll be Perth Australia not Perth Scotland. We’ve had 21mm of the wet stuff. Rain, sleet and snow in the last week.
Yes Lee it does annoy me they're lying to us all. How dare they continue lying too. I am furious aren't you?
And yet they are still not selling. Tesla have lost more than a third of their share value this year (CNN).
Loads of trollies Lee onwards my friend.❤
You make a lot of sense lee I was going to look into buying one but not now👍👍👍🤜
I’ve been lucky. My mate at work left last week so I’ve been allowed to swap my company electric Hyundai Ioniq 2021 for his Toyota Corolla sports tourer hybrid. Loved the Ioniq but long distance just wasn’t working for me. And what really done it was the rising cost of EV charging. Loving your channel.
Sarah got fed up of waiting for you & went home. 😂
Lee if you are waiting in a queue of people all waiting to charge their cars , how do you know when it is your turn . Baffles Me 🤔🤔🤔 .
There's only one way to find out.... FIGHT.
I agree that electric cars are government pushed to restrict people's freedom as public transport isn't fit for purpose! Owning a car is Luxury and should be all about choice! Your a 100% correct Lee! Xx
Buy an EV and get shocked!
Oh Lee, I feel your pain! No way will they get me out of my diesel; Cambridge to Devon and back for a weekend, on a tank of diesel! £70 to fill up a tank! EV, not bloody likely 🚘😠
Fast cars is the hand of young drivers. What could go wrong.
@@StanHunwin
They are not all fast.
They can accelerate more quickly than a lot of ICE cars but they can and are also top speed limited, in the main at 115mph or less.
A lot of ICE cars,( most? ) are faster.
