Ya'll need to stop visiting such white modernized countries and travel to places less traveled to countries in Africa, Asia, and South/Central America where to culture is vastly different to the US. Seek discomfort.
Reno Stephens we’ve been to Asia and south / Central America multiple times. We’re planning Africa next year. Also, we can travel wherever we want to 👍
@@Theendlessadventure sorry that came off as very harsh from me, but essentially what I meant is I think it'd be a lot more cool and help attract more viewers if you went to locations in south/central america like suriname for example or mongolia and turkmenistan in asia or even burundi in africa where no other youtubers really go or show. People would love to see more of those places in the world where it is a lot more unknown versus somewhere like western europe or the US where so many videos have been shot already and where most tourists typically go because its so comfortable, travelled through, and much more recognizable. Hope that helps clear up what I meant in a more constructive way. Travel on!
I remember the days when you'd take us with you to just about everything, including the grocery store. Doing those things really helps us to feel like we're with you and learning about local living.
Ah you guys are going to LOVE Tuscany! It's one of the most beautiful places we've ever been! Unfortunately we weren't vlogging at the time, but we REALLY want to go back and shoot some videos. Enjoy! ❤️
I've been watching you guys for a while, going through so many countries and dealing with many travel problems but I am always amazed at how positive you stay throughout. When you're traveling and things don't go to plan, it can get frustrating with all the wait times but you guys are always looking to the silver lining in the situation and barely every lose your cool. So good to see! Hope you guys have a great time in Venice! 😊
Go Italy!! I have been there 4 times, still won't go there again, wonderful people, delicious food, beautiful weather, lovely beaches.... hmm I am dreaming now!!
Thanks for the tips with the luggage! ;) I’ll use that from now on! I’m excited for these Italian videos that are on the way!! I’ve never really seen anything to do with Italy before, so I’m ready to see it through your eyes! :)
@@jacquelinewesson1202 Don't be. Lovely country, great history with uncrowded architecture and really great food - and especially - wine. Have a great time!
For a quirky food related stop try Colonnata near Carrara. Drive up past the marble quarries for the famous Lardo di Colonnata. Pork fat delicacy. Need I say more? It's about an hour's drive from either Lucca or Pisa.
Great Vlog! Retired American living in Albania and traveling Baltic’s/Eastern Europe 3 months a year....the Charles Schwab debit card you mentioned is the greatest! I use for all my cash/living expenses and any and all ATM fees are refunded in full every month! The only thing you have to worry about are a few machines(mainly in train/bus stations)that don’t charge any fees...they just bust you on the exchange rate! Keep up the great work!
We were in Pisa about 3 weeks ago. Also rented a car from Hertz (and drove all over Tuscany). However, we were going to ride the Pisa Mover from the train station to the airport to get our car, and the Pisa Mover to Hertz; and the Pisa Mover broke down. They told us to run to catch the bus (with all our bags, mind you). And the bus broke down. So we got to walk from the train station to the airport. Whew! Even that experience didn't even take away from our LOVE of Italy!
So excited to see your Italian adventures! I love travelling out there! Venice is my very favourite city; but have had a couple of nice trips to Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa etc.
One thing that I love while living in Germany for the past 15 years is the cheap 20 1/2 liter bottles of beer. 5,99 euro and wine that is no more than 5 euro and soo good
Mechanic’s Bank is the same. If you get any fees on the bank machines internationally they reimburse you. We used it all through Italy without any problem. We were in Italy for a month with two weeks in at a wonderful farm just under Montelcino in Tuscany and driving everywhere was no problem. I hope there are TONS of videos from Tuscany!!!! So excited to see your adventures.
Nice that you got your bags on the plane. OMG that's always my fear of having to check our bag due to no more space. Glad you made it safe and hope you guys took a picture of that dent in the car and reported it so you don't get blamed for it..or better yet sent them a link to this video. 😂 Loved that you guys got homemade desserts. Going to be an amazing adventure. So question...Whose going to be using that bidet first? 😂
If they did not get a photo they have the evidence on the video. I always take photos before and after returning a rental, just in case, the date time and coordinates are stored in the meta data on the photos. By the the way it's a bidet. ( silent T, E pronounced as AY )

Not sure if it’s the season for it, but you can get great truffles. Ps if you try to speak a little Italian, the locals will help you speak more!
Be careful in Venice, they're getting very strict on tourists there. The main square there which has a cobbled paving, you're not allowed to pull your suitcases on it and if you do your get fined.
Love following you guys. We’ve visited Italy several times and always use Airbnb. We also struggled with the language lots of 👍. Always very friendly though.
Have you guys thought about a pre-paid card called Revolut? You pre-load but don’t get stung on exchange rates or commission either at ATM’ or in stores or restaurants. You can also do touch pay or Apple Pay with it. With the amount of world travel you guys do it would be worth it.
My parents used the bidet for laundry (small batches). We don't have them in the Netherlands as well, but when we would go to Spain We'd have them in the badroom😂😉
i've been following you for about 2 years now , and i was wondering if you have ever been to the lake Garda , if you haven't , i assure you it is a very special place , each town around the lake has its peculiarity to be seen. If you have time i recommend to visit Peschiera and Sirmione .
We live in historic Lucca, you are more than welcome to come! I am sorry the weather is do bad for your arrival! Anyway, we have a huge apartment with your own bedroom, just let us know.

Been waiting a long time for you guys to come to Italy without it being part of a cruise. Can't wait to see your adventures in Tuscany and Venice! Must go wine tasting in Tuscany! Still hoping you guys make it to Rome.
Flying from France - First shot is of a train 🤔😂 Also tp for European airlines - if you can wear your hand luggage on your shoulder or back (not always possible...) If they see it's light enough and small enough to carry on your person instead of rolling it around they often don;t bother you :)
Great vid! Are you going to venture through Spain at all sometime soon? East coast - Valencia down to Gandia and Oliva is beautiful.... (I'm moving to Oliva from the UK)
O...M..G...!!! You guys came to Orly Airport, which is where I work, at the security checks !! I would have loooooved to see you for real (and maybe would have been speechless in front of you! 😅) Unfortunately, you passed through the worst Hall of all of the Airport... Sorry about that! Saved a couple hundred on a rental from Zurich to Basel. Oh and btw....what are those cool reusable coffee cups called cannot find them on your amazon page.
some nice places to visit in Tuscany: apart Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza (the ideal town); let me know if you make a stop over on the way to Venice in Verona (the town of Romeo and Juliet)
How it's possible you are using ATM card in another country is it possible or you are having international credit card or debit card some of banking side did not have international card option, any idea can you detail about that?
Simple comment... other than the UK Italy is the most beautiful country in Europe. I adore it but it is complete chaos almost all of the time... IMHO. Good luck adventurers you'll be blown away :D
I was just wondering about the route that you took from the Loire Valley to Paris, is there a particular station in the Loire Valley that connects the area to Paris? I would love to check the area out but am limited to public transport.
Is that stick or auto? I couldn't rent a car in Italy because I don't drive stick. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of experiences not being able to drive in Italy.
