That last scene is legendary , Marlo is so cold blooded and ruthless. I love Omar being back and out for revenge , and Mcnutty is completely going for it , sad to see him go off the deep end but like you said , he loves the job more than anything else.

The guy who tosses Omar the shotgun, who helped Omar in county lock up, is one of the real life inspirations for Omar Little.

Now that Marlo is with The Greek - he's basically king of Baltimore entirely, not just the West side.
It was mentioned below, but the homeless dude McNulty asked about the dog, that was the guy we saw help Nick and Ziggy in season 2 on the docks.

The name of the character/cop asleep in his car helping Lester is Oscar "Rick" Requer. In real life that's the name of the detective Bunk is named after and based on.

Easy to miss details about the Clay Davis stuff: the mortgage paperwork that Freamon has is like an open and shut case but it's a federal charge. The State's Attorney wants to make a name for himself and run the prosecution himself but that means only non-federal charges included. Previously the Fed attorney had come to Carcetti about this case but Carcetti shut him out (just political-the Fed is a Republican wanting to make a big deal of a dirty Democrat).
