Love the picture of Bill Evans. The control and subtle touch and dynamics by this virtuoso on these pieces is such a treat. Like when Horowitz would play Serenade for the Doll by Debussy. Volodos' Mompou CD is wonderfully timeless, and magically recorded.

A wonderful recital. The CD he made with some of Mompou's music is highly recommended and much played by us. There is also a wonderful CD with Mompou's "undiscovered works" (first recording, 2009) played by the Dutch pianist Marcel Worms, it's marvellous.
Can anyone tell me about this piano? I dont recognise the name, it sounds superb. I just love the way Volodos plays. Such warmth, and supreme technique.
