Saw a seven and nine year old play the same piece just as well. This isn't even a challenge for him, but he plays it as an encore. Then bows as if he just won a van cliburn competition. Yuja blows his doors off.

I have 2 cds by Mompou. Like them alot. Still looking for de la Roacha's CD with Granados and Mompou. Once had it on LP

what a lovely interpretation . The melodic line came out perfectly phrased and controlled. Only someone who plays the piano knows how difficult this is.

Love the picture of Bill Evans. The control and subtle touch and dynamics by this virtuoso on these pieces is such a treat. Like when Horowitz would play Serenade for the Doll by Debussy. Volodos' Mompou CD is wonderfully timeless, and magically recorded.
