We will feed, groom, then of course pony them. You will also get to learn a little bit about each yearling, and their history. SO THE BIG QUESTION IS WILL THE YEARLINGS CATCH ON TO PONYING?! You are my favorite TH-cam Channel ever❤🐴💕🤠
It's so amazing to see you and your horses when you're teaching them to phony and how they are willing to learn new things I am so glad I learned about your shanall before bell.... 😮
And I remember how much I am soooo in love with the horses 😊
Your calm loving style has so much to do with their success at whatever you ask of them watching is such a pleasure
I acc love your video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You really struck GOLD when you bought Beauty. She is an amazing girl.
I love her so much!
she really is a great horse
❤
@@freespiritequestrian❤ I’m happy for Both of you. 😊
I can’t imagine why ANYONE wanted to sell her but FSE totally benefitted!
The babies are doing so well, but honestly…Beauty is an absolute ROCK. Shae….you are so lucky to have found her. I mean, all of your horses are special, but Beauty? Is a real GEM.
Yes she truly is!
Couldn’t Agree More!!!
😇
She really is for her age and disposition she's incredible
The foals did wonderful for the first time ponying. And Beauty… at only 4 years old, you can trust her to help train the foals, lead on trail rides, be ridden and shown by your students, and do just about anything you ask of her. She also keeps the foals company and she protected them like she’s their mother when the geldings were let in with them. Beauty acts much more mature than her actual age. You hit the jackpot with her! ❤️🐴💜
Yeah it's also pretty cool how Beauty went and adopted the foals 😂. In the wild only close relatives do that.
Never let that horse go....❤
I so enjoy watching ALL of your videos! The foals are doing wonderfully and Beauty is a rockstar! I love your videos because you are definitely a super awesome trainer. I worked with Standardbreds racing circuits in the midwest and New York, and Canada for 15 years. I am 75 and retired from the racing business. My last horse I had was a 2 time world champion racing at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. He was a 6 years old stallion named What’s Next. He was sold to Breeding farm in Australia. He sired a few good horses. The farm always kept me informed of his progress and would send me pictures of him running around in the field. When he passed away at 20 years old, they told me about it and sent me a picture of where they buried him.
Totally Agree!!!
😇
That IS Awesome...
What a Career you must’ve had!!!
God has sure Blessed you!!!
😇
Every time I see you with Ezzy, I think of you crying tears of joy at the sight of the newborn foal next to Belle ❤
I bawl every time I watch the first sight of Ezzy❤
Same! Happy, joyous tears!
Same here...And it’s Very Touching every time...
😇
Omg that was a vid to never firgey. I still watch it sometimes now and i stikl get the exact same emotions and tears as the 1st time. The most magical moment
Trust is such a Powerful thing.
Seeing Ariel get Cheeky is a beautiful thing.
My goodness has Ariel blossomed!! She’s gorgeous!
Ezzie did poles jogging perfect. She really understood the assignment & lifted those legs.
Beauty neck reigned no bit perfect. She's a jem
She was so good!!
The babies are doing so amazing but omg can we talk about 4 year old beauty? Just handling it all like a pro!? She’s so special
She is like a dream!!!
😇
These two foals did very well for first day out in training.. but.. Beauty is phenomenal.. a steadying and calming influence which helps..❤
Jokingly I thought, is this really the first time the foals have been ponying? They both did so well!
Beauty is irreplaceable! I would never move her on, she is a unicorn ❤
⚪️
👍🏻
Right? I hope Shea keeps her! I was devastated when she sold Jafar, I couldn’t handle that again. 😬
The size of the girls is amazing. Ezzy is almost as big as Beauty, she is growing up so fast.
I think she is gonna be a Clyde!
Part Clyde
Ariel being a little rascal is so cute. Especially knowing how reserved she was when she first got to the farm. The girls did so wonderful!
Beauty is the absolute best! Whoever sold her lost out. What a jewel! So glad she became yours. She deserves the best and that’s what you give.
Amen to that
❤ I did
The man who sold her was an Amish trainer, I believe, and he did a really spectacular job with Beauty. I don't think he lost out by selling her because now he can do the same with another horse. We should be thankful to have Beauty and to have had her trained by him, not that he would ever know.
Still...
Maybe we should be thankful for him and his obviously great work with horses, too!!!
😇
Beauty is really outstanding for a four-year-old horse. I believe that the yearlings, in Shea's hands, will also show like this at this age. It is so nice to be part of this development of the horses
❤️🐴❤️🐎❤️
No doubt about it!!!
😇
Like everyone else has said, the foals did GREAT for their first time, but the star goes to Beauty. What an amazing temperament she has!!!! She is a true gem!!!!! ❤❤❤
Agree!!!
😇
What makes this easy is your horses trust u 100%. They know u as their leader and the trust comes with that. You are quiet and calm and u always tell them how well they have done.
There’s A LOT Of GOOD That Can Be Said For
POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT!!!
😇
It’s hard to believe that beauty is only 4yo. The babies did so well. Ezzy going over the trot poles like that was something else 🤩
The babies did so well 💞You must be absolutely stoked to have purchased the most perfect horse ever. Beauty was worth every penny. What an amazing horse.
I love Ariel's eyes. The white around her eyes is a great highlighter.
🥰🙏🤩
Yeah I was gonna say Ariel is turning into a beautiful horse for sure
Every time there is a close up of her eyes I think they are stunning.
Me too. I think that's the Brabant in her. Ariel does have a lovely eye
Those are two seriously beautiful yearlings! Wow! Just... wow! And Beauty was perfect, so calm and so living up to her name!
Both fillies look good in purple. They are both beautiful and Beauty is ROCK SOLID, STEADY. Perfect for any activity
Essie is going to be an awesome horse because she is 100% YOU!
That scares me hahahaha
Love the teal bridals. Shae, you are such a good horse mama. They may not know it but your slow, systematic approach to training them will give them the foundation for a happy, rewarding life.
At just 4 it’s so hard to believe that Beauty is such a matriarch to the girls!! She’s worth her weigh in gold 💜💜
The yearlings are changing so quickly, wow, I always have to look twice to recognize them 😅 to add, I just love how you're teaching your horses so many different things in such a patient manner. I think that's so important for them.
Gosh Ariel is a stunner as well. Both fillies are turning into beautiful horses. ❤❤
I love how you are so safety conscious, conservative yet you give out so much love and a smidgen of silliness with your "children". I am always amazed Shae.
I enjoy Shea and Kyle’s sense of humor-they can both be So Funny in their own ways, lol!!!
⚪️
😄
Both girls are solid packed. This is the most rambunctious that I have seen of Ariel. She certainly has a thing for poles and jumping. I know that eventually that Ezzie will go gray but the champagne tan left over from her being a buckskin is pretty.
Love her blaze
😇
Shae you are one in a million ! Your kindness, your patience & your heart for horses continually makes my heart sing. There simply are no words to express what an amazing and beautiful soul you are. Just watching you in action makes my day over & over again. No one compares with you
❤🐎❤🐎❤🐎❤🐎
💯 % ❤
I love watching your videos, brings me back to my horsey days. I grew up around horses & had a pony but my first horse was a yearling Morgan colt(Gem). When I went to buy him I found out that he & I shared a birthday! A few years later my cousin bred her Arab mare & I got the foal as payment for boarding & caring for her mare. She had a little colt(Thief), it was amazing watching him absorb everything. He ended up being the steadiest horse I had ever known. From his first time under saddle he acted like an old veteran.
Enjoy it all!! Times just flies by, I miss those days! Thank you for letting me relive those days through your videos.
Be Well!
That’s an awesome story!
Cool!!❤
I Wholeheartedly Second That!!!
Silly as it may sound, I miss all the horse hugs, lol...
Make Every Minute Last, Shea!!!
😇
I love how Beauty is so patient and like you said so calm. You really got a lucky one❤
Following the foals development really makes me look forward to the future, I hope you'll continue taking us along on your journey
The young ones do so well because they trust and love you. They feel so safe. Good job!!
Agree
😇
Ariel just looked Sooo depressed when she 1st landed with you. . . I worried for her.
To see her Curious and Relaxed now is quite something. 😊❤
It was just such a sudden transition for her! Now she really feels like she belongs ❤
Ariel is smart. I loved it when she spontaneously jumped a cross rail last winter. She shows such promise ❤
Ezzie is HUGE!! And such a smart girl!
❤ yeah true ❤
My favorite part was when the yearlings got playful - especially Ariel, as I haven't seen this much from her before ❤ cute. Childhood is just special for all species.
This was so lovely to watch, not only do the yearlings learn new things but so do I. Well done Ezzy, Ariel, and Beauty.🤗😀☺😊
Ariel’s Color is Super-Cool.
Truly unique.
I couldn’t help but get tickled when Essie decided she was gonna do her own thing!!lol
Ya gotta Love a spirited yearling with improvisational skills, lol!!!
⚪️
😉
Arielle keeps changing…..such a stunner!
And Ezzy of course, just like mama, gorgeous 😍
I just love how gentle and thorough you are whenever you're training. You teach them so many skills and do it at a pace that they are comfortable with. You truly are amazing and I wish everyone treated their horses this well ❤️
Ditto!!!
😇
Ariel looks so good in that aqua halter and lead!
I like it!
Oh my goodness, Ezzie is almost as tall as Beauty. She is a big girl❤❤ Both Ezzie and Ariel are doing great😊
Ariel and Ezzy were terrific!! They are both getting big and beautiful! Beauty is a sweet gorgeous gem! You are a wonderful trainer and I really enjoy watching your channel!!
They both did so great! How lucky they are going to be to get such great exposure as yearlings! They'll be just as awesome as Beauty is by the time they are 4! Because seriously... Beauty is 1 in a million! ❤❤❤
First! The yearlings are gonna do amazing I bet!
Ezzy trusts you with her LIFE. I think she'd do anything for you Shae
“If you give a horse Your Heart-
They’ll give you Their Life”.
😇
🙏🏻
They both did great and the way you build the trust with them shows how it works. Ezzy really listened and Ariel took it in her stride. Both are dazzling gems. Beauty just keeps surpassing how impressive she is for a 4yo and that girl LOVES the yearlings.❤❤❤
I absolutely love your amazing intelligence and experience and how you explain things so clearly to your viewers! This may be my favorite video so far.
I have watched every video so I am familiar with your history and that of your horses, but I appreciate how you frequently explain things for newer viewers.
Your love for all your animals is simply beautiful and uplifting. May God continue to bless you and Kyle. ❤️🙏🏼
Wow, thank you!
I'm sitting here with my Ezzy/Ariel purple t-shirt, watching and loving every minute. Both babies did a great job! Beauty would be my heart horse if she were mine, I think. How could anything about this training exercise have gone wrong when you set all 3 of these beautiful girls up for success? This is why I watch this channel - it's such a positive, caring way to live with horses. Maybe in my next life, I'll get to do that - but for now, I'll continue watching and wait for my Whoa Watermelon to come in the mail!
YAY!! It's my favorite, you will love it 😀.
Beauty really lives up to her name, she is amazing! Ariel has come on so very well, I remember that timid little soul who arrived at your stables, such a poor start in life but absolutely won life’s lottery getting to live with you all! ❤️🥰
Ezzie's coloring is gorgeous! Such a beauty!!
Beauty is so stoic standing quietly and doing EXACTLY what you need her to do.
What a unique horse you got in Beauty. To think she's just 4 is wild with how chill she takes pretty much everything. Ezzy over the poles were so great! What a mover! It's going to be so much fun watching you teach the yearlings as they grow into young adults!
Makes me look forward to their journey ahead, know it???
⚪️
😃
With all the foal work in place I would not be surprised if in 3 years you get on the backs of these girls and they just go ‘Oh - we got this!’ And that will be that!
So proud of Beauty. What a good solid horse to pony from and in her super comfy bitless bridle. Lovely to see the foals having fun with their friend Beauty being big girls having to figure out the new game. Very happy to follow. Not so easy to baby them leading from another horse. I think you all did awesome. It's not easy wrangling the rope, esp with inexperienced horses switching sides. First step towards the fillies hitting those trails and really having some fun. Ponying is a great skill for all horses and riders to learn but something many forget about.🐎
Leading-whether on ground or from horseback, etc...IS an absolute and necessary Must
for Any horse to learn...
Shea is doing An Excellent job
at it, with her two fillies!!!
😇
You are such a sweet mummy to the yearlings
I dont know why, but Im OBSESSED with Ezzy’s and Ariel’s tails 😍😍
Me too! They are getting so long
❤maybe because they are so beautiful? I love long manes and tails on horses! I think that's part of why I love the vanners so much. That and the fact they are paints.
That’s Why I Love Pegasus SO Much...
And Morabs, lol!!!
😇
I hope my memory stays intact to see the first ride with the girls.🤞
💙👊🙏💪
I m looking forward to what is going to happen with these two happy fillies. I know we all will learn a lot today ! 👍🥰♥️🐴♥️🐴♥️🐎♥️
This was such a joy to watch. All three are so gorgeous, and all three are so willing. Loved getting to see Ariel being spicy! Funny how both the yearlings wanted to go for the flowers in the tub.
Beauty proved yet again what a gem she is. Pony the fillies? No problem.
It was wonderful watching the yearlings get used to ponying and what it's all about. I loved both of them over the poles.
Shae & Kyle, Thank you so much for continuing to share this wonderful journey with us ❤️
I can say many things about how great the horses are, how well they work on their training, etc. but, Shae it really all comes down to you! Your love and confidence are amazingly infectious. You create such an atmosphere of positivity that humans and animals are helpless to not respond in kind! Never stop, Lady!
I Agree 100%!!!
😇
❤ Love seeing the stages of their training.
And yet another thing that beauty does well 😂. What a star she is❤
Ezzy was quite amazing to pony for the first time. I think Beauty leading was very helpful. Gave Ezzy some calm and confidence staying close to Beauty and listening to the commands. Good imprinting!
Ariel looks great too. She seems to want to be calm, more and more. Both the fillies have smooth trots. Both fillies are calm and confident ponying behind Beauty! Both fillies were amazing!!! 👍🥰💗🐴💗🐴💗🐎💗
I can already see the Brabant butt developing on Ariel! Wow all three girls did such a fabulous job!
Beauty is such a treasure. I've very curious to see how big Ezzie gets. They both did such a great job ponying for the first time.
She kissed you back. 😢 so cool
Oh my goodness they look so grown up!! Such pretty babys❤️
Holy Moly - Esmeralda is almost as tall as Beauty!
you are the best horse trainer in the wrold
One place you ask the best thing we had seen on your videos. If course a very lots of things, But Ezzy being born, a beautiful baby, and mama Bell, when you first got there to see her. Awesome.
I just love the color changes on the babies. They're both stunning.🙂 I live vicariously through you and all of your four-legged babies, and that includes Penelope. 😁
Penelope is a Beauty in Her own right, too!!!
⚪️
😀
Beauty is a GEM !
She really is!
Man it feels like just yesterday you posted the video that Ezzy was born she is growing so fast
Can not believe I have been watching your channel since before Esmeralda was born 1 year ago!!! Aerial has been hanging out with Esmeralda and acting like her and that is so cute. Esmeralda did so good and Aerial was being so curious about everything ❤
So awesome seeing the yearlings grow and develop..thanks for taking us along their development journey..you and the horses are awesome!!
Our pleasure!
The yearlings are getting so big!!
Ariel is growing into her beauty. She is so graceful, and her eyes are drop-dead gorgeous.
The yearlings are so sweet ❤ you are so lucky you have them ❤
Just noticed how much feather Ezzie is getting! Looks good.
Beauty is great teacher - calm , patient and yet ‘ nope , stop that 😳’ !!
The babies did great today !! Quick learners 👍👍❤️
Trotting over the poles, Ezzie, sort of looks back to see what she just did! Smartie!
I loved that Ezzie tried to stop in the puddle to play. So cute. Yearlings did a great job and Beauty is such a wonderful horse.
Beauty is worth her weight in gold! She is a super star! Smart babies but it’s also your training, time, and love!
I’ve gotta say it every time! Beauty is such a gem!! She brightens my day every time I see her. Also good job to the babies! They did great!!
Oh! Beauty is such a remarkable girl! You really got lucky there!
I’m not in a hurry to see Ezzie or Ariel grow up Soon,-- but I can’t wait to see how tall they each get in 3/4yrs!!! Is exciting, and you are bringing them along so smoothly, quietly, calmly, and knowledgeably.
So Impressive.
Seriously, Remarkable, makes me smile. 😊❤
I Despise it when so-called “Professional Trainers” call it BREAKING a horse. . .
Don’t get me started. . .
I know, right.
They are literally and figuratively growing by leaps and bounds. I can't get over how big Esmerelda has gotten. They both move beautifully! You have done very well with them. You're a natural Mom 😉 Thank you for sharing.
I was injured in a horse fight when I was around 12 yrs.old while trail riding one summer. We were bareback. barefoot and in shorts , thankfully only quarter mile from home. When the other horse kicked multiple times, the hoof hitting my leg sounded like a bat hitting a baseball. My leg had a bone revealing bloody gap. The truth is, if we were able to pony home, it would have ended much better .
😱💙💪🙏
That was AWESOME! I love how you set every one of your horses up for success! You are one of the best trainers I've ever witnessed! Great job, girls! ❤
Beauty is the IDEAL horse!!!!! You struck GOLD with her!!!! And the yearlings are going to take after her. I hope Belle will be well enough to pony with Beauty just for fun out in the field!
Belle is Awesome!!!
😇
I just adore Ezzy! It's so fun watching her grow. She's absolutely stunning!
Good girl Ariel, such a cutie too!
Great job. Starting them right as you are will provide wonderful mounts in the years ahead. I love Ezzie!
Beauty is such a laid back mare.....perfect paired with the two colts to teach them their manners. And Esmerelda? Oh my, the perfect baby and I hope I am able to watch her reach her full potential in the next three years. I turned 87 this week, so three years may be stretching it!!!! 😊 Something to look forward to anyway.
👊👏👏🙏🙏🙏💪🫶🫂
Beauty has become a center element in developing Ariel & Ezzy. It was a super lucky day when Shea found her.~imo😊❤👍
Ariel is gorgeous. It is so much fun watching you work with the babies.
Love your patience and kindness and the way you take the training in mini steps. It’s such a pleasure to watch. ❤❤❤
