You have a very clear and simple to follow teaching style...thank you.....I would just like to add that when you do the drums manually, without TRX and without any quantization, they will sound less mechanical......
Good point. Thanks for your comment about drums. To make the drums less mechanical with TR REC, you can also play and adjust the Velocity for the drum kit.
Actually I think you confused Grouping / Groups with pattern lines. A group doesn't have to be all patterns from the same line, but the pads you showed the second time triggerr a line of patterns, not the groups you just made I believe. In your case you could have made a group with pattern A1, A2, A3 and B4 as well. The groups just combine the active patterns together, which you can then use to build a song. At least that is what I learned so far. But keep up the good work ... I was actually planning to make something similar from an Ableton standpoint ... but at least you seem to know how to play :-P
Yes that's correct, we can make groups with different active patterns too and I missed to say that on this video. I just showed different ways to control each line. You are right also about making Songs from Groups but there was no time to go for it on this video. I don't want make Videos long. I am planning to go for it on another Video for it. Thanks for your useful comment.
Good afternoon Vincent, I saw your Fantom video about the Record Pattern part and I want to ask you if there would be a way to use that part as an arranger keyboard?? It's because I really like Roland and it doesn't have a high-end arranger keyboard. I await your response. Thanks. Compliments
Good day, Yes once you create your pattern you can use Fantom like an arranger. Be aware that Fantom is not an arranger. It's a synthesizer so it doesn't have to much pre-sets, Rhythms and Song and you have to create every things your self from Zero. Right now Roland has no good arranger in the market. You may go for Yamaha Tyros 3/4/5 or Yamaha PSR series or KORG PA series. Last good arranger from Roland was Roland G70 which is old and retired.
Thank you very much in advance for your response Vincent. I only asked because it had the Roland sound, but I would have to do everything from scratch and then the problem I see is that I don't know if after the fills and breaks that the arranger has, I would be able to respond in the same way on the Fantom. At the moment I have a Ketron SD9, after the PA4X. Thanks
Hi Vincent. Love your work. New to Fantom 8. Can you detail for me how to record on a already recorded pattern, beginning in the middle somewhere? Thank you!!!!!
I love your teachings❤❤❤
Very good❤❤❤
You are best😍😍😍
Really glad to see a tutorial on this almost hidden feature, thanks a lot for dedicating the time to prepare this.
I am glad it was helpful for you Saif.

@@RolandMusics go for it ... there is still so much I need to discover myself too :-)
Thanks for sharing your experiences with me :)@@Letstalkgaming

@@RolandMusics Thanks for the info Vincent.

Thanks for your support. It' better to make a video for that. your are the only person who asked me about that.
can we use the pads instead of the keys?
5:32 surely someone at Roland could create a shortcut to copy all the clips in one row at the same time. Absurd.
Yes maybe in future updates 😉
Yamaha genos or korg pa5x would blow this out the water, especially the new genos. All this fussing around copying and pasting.
Same for Roland Fantom-08?😮
Yes it's the same to Fantom 08.
How can I save this pattarn and patches in a bank?
You should press Write and save your pattern as Scene.
