I did purchase the Nespresso Next and don't like the machine because hard to closing so I returned and got Vertou Plus and loved it ( just gentle touch and will automatically do the job ) and I think taste better coffee too,, lol
Thank you so much for this video! I had purchased the Nespresso Next bundle from Costco mostly because of the amount of pods & coupons it comes with. I also liked the carafe function. Have been loving the coffee but 3 months later my Next has stopped working. After watching this video & reading up on reviews, I called Nespresso customer service (had a wonderful experience both times!) and they are replacing my Next with a Plus! They also gave me a credit for the carafe starter kit I had purchased! Love all your content! So fun to watch, engaging & informative. As a “Nespresso newbie” you have been a huge help when it comes to learning, enjoying & navigating all things Nespresso!
This convinced me to go with the vertuo plus. My friend showed me hers and that was one of my favorite features that the plus easily pops open and shuts so easily. I was leaning toward the next because Costco had it for so cheap but paid more for the Plus due to the top and swivel. Thank you for the comparison. Newer model isn’t always better!

I have a follow up comment. I decided to get a Inessia to be able to try the original line. Well that machine showed me that my Next was not working properly. Since I had minor leakage, trouble with closing the lid and grounds in my coffee I called Nespresso. They are sending me a Plus as a replacement. They tried to also get the temperature higher on my Next but my coffee is still just warm, not hot.
I look forward to my Plus, which is the matte black like yours! I really like the Inessia! The original line is amazing.

We have the next at work and I had the hardest time opening it. I thought I might break it and it leaks also. I have the plus at home and love it also. Thanks again great video 💗
When I ordered my coffee maker I ordered the Next…it didn’t fit under my cabinet..what a hassle to return it..OY I kept calling until I got a person that could help me and give me free shipping…(yes I’m cheap) I then ordered the Verturo Plus and it fit yeah…I love it!
I bought my Vertuo Plus last year after watching your videos. This is a great comparison, I almost went with the Next but the open/close feature was my selling point for the Plus!

I JUST bought the Next machine… and I have an extra back up machine coming to my house tomorrow🙄 and I also bought one and sent it to my daughter in Ohio (I live in Florida) and now I decided that I need to have the plus machine instead 🙄 so I ordered two of those! I have coffee pots coming out my ears LOL but I have arthritis in my hands and it was so hard opening and closing the next machine that I decided the plus (for all the reasons you just mentioned in your video) is the machine for me! (she said hundreds of dollars later lol). Also have TONS of pods coming to try out. Thank you Maison…so enjoying you n your videos! Your adorable!🥰
I had gotten the vertuo next in rose gold. I loved the compact design and the color of it, but since I got it home I was not impressed with the color. To me it was more of just gold color, but I think there are also different interpretations of rose gold. I had heard a lot of negative things from people that had a next machine and thought maybe I would be one of the lucky ones. It seemed really loud and the top was difficult to close but no issues. I was running a clean cycle on machine every week. But then I started noticing constant grounds in my coffee, a lot of grounds. And then my machine would want me to do descale everyother brew. I had only had my machine for maybe 4 weeks. After my third phone call within 5 days customer service offered to replace my machine with another next. I asked if I could replace it with a different machine and they said yes. I picked up the vertuo plus and couldn't be happier.

I have gone through 2 of this machine thank goodness for the warranty, first one leaked water, the 2nd one stopped working, they sent me my 3rd but it’s the rounded top but I can’t fit our travel mugs for the 14 oz ?? Also learned that if you put hot tap water you get a hotter cup of coffee ☕️

Thumbs up 👍🏾 I have the Next! No problem thank goodness! I wish though that I had bought the Plus based on the creaminess of the Creama. I received a good deal on the Next last November. I’m happy with it, it has no issues , however the top is very hard to close. The Vertuo plus looks so easy to close ( just a light tap of the finger ) . I like that feature!!

I have the Next but I think it's a premium kind because I have a more sturdy cup hold because it's part metal/chrome. The mold can definitely be an issue for me but I try my best to clean it regularly. I feel that the lid on the vertuo plus would be more likely to break and be difficult to fix so even though the next is a little awkward, I think it would be less likely to break.
Hey!!! I haven’t seen anyone complain about their plus too breaking it just ain’t a thing. So glad you are liking your machine though and haven’t had any problems so far! 😃
I love the compactness of the Vertuo Next and that it can brew the pour over pod. But, it’s really noisy. I personally have the Eluvo and love it. Mom has the Next and is on her second machine less than a year. Nespresso replaced it under warranty, but I’ve never had a Nespresso machine go bad so quick. Love your videos!!!

@@maisonmalli thank you. So far her second Next is working well. They replaced with a different color. She originally got the thanksgiving sale one that was purple and rose gold. Was so pretty. It’s a great machine and your mom will love it!
I love my Vertuo Next but I have had a couple of technical problems but in the long run its a really great machine 😄👍

I do agree on most of your points.
Areas of differences missed which is why I prefer the Vertuo Next.
1. It takes the larger Carafe pods, which I use for making blends, group coffee, or even iced coffee due to its neutral taste.
2. I don't use the cup holder most of the time, and instead put it into a large insulated container for work, complete with flavor blends.
Both of these are 2 common use I use mine for that you cannot do with the Vertuo Plus.
If you do not plan to do #1 and #2 above then I would go with the plus over the next typically.

There’s no comparison in my opinion, the plus is waaaaaaaaay better!!
But having the next is better than not having nespresso so it’s still a win...

I have the Vertuo Next and I love my little machine. It fits right into my little coffee nook in my kitchen. I haven't had any problems (yet 😂) and you are right that in opening & closing it takes a little elbow grease LOL. Thank you for your review my friend!

I honestly was only considering the Next because of it’s smaller size as this would only be for myself. However, I was debating whether to go with Nespresso over a “regular” espresso machine due to the quality of the crema. I chose Nespresso for it’s simplicity and, thanks to your review, I will now consider the Plus over the Next for it’s superior crema. Thanks so much! 🤘🏼

I gifted my Next to my sis and got the Plus. The opening and closing is a game changer for sure. Closing the Next definitely needs 2 hands. So many times I thought it was broken but it just wasn’t completely closed. I do wish the Plus could use the carafe with the pour over pods.
And u see how I make my daily reels. I can’t use two hands to open that machine

I started with Vertuo Next and bought the Vertuo Plus for my parents. The coffee tastes the same but I agree that the Plus has a couple of features that are better. The wifi on my Next never worked but I don't feel like I need that anyways. I got the mini as a gift (to use when traveling or in the office) and I like that one the least. I like being able to make different sizes like the Vertuo products and cant do that with the mini.

I have a Next. I like it but I agree with you. It’s hard to open and close. Mine has leaked a little, if it persists I will contact Nespresso. Recently I have experienced grounds in my cup. Not happy about that.

The reason I picked the Plus was the open/close feature. Now with all the problems I am seeing with the Next Im happy with my choice!

The vertuo plus isn’t available in my country so I’m contemplating whether I should or should not buy the vertuo next.
Don’t do it, you will just have problems. So shady not to have plus there. Can you ship it from another country. I think that’s totally worth it.
About to send back my second Vertuo next and they’re shipping me Vertuoplus. Hopefully, the plus works without issue.

I have the Next and Like it so far except water does collect in the pod holder. I am not thrilled about that but like it besides that.

I noticed if you leave the pod in until the next use it doesn't build up. Hope that helps.
I have the vertuo next machine and I’m so sad because the coffee comes cold (it’s not hot enough and I drink my coffee very HOT) and I thought the crema is real crema rather than the crema is more foam. I only want to keep the Next because of the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi thing. I hope someday there will be an update where the coffee temperature can be regulate.🥺
You are right, I am onto my 3rd Next. They just malfunction but Nespresso in Australia is amazing they just send a new machine
well they have no choice because the machine is trash. Just ask for a Vertuoplus next time. Who wants to go throught that over and over again
Only issue for the plus is that unlike the next, it can't connect to the internet so any new pod sizes that come out cannot be used, like the carafe size capsule

I have the Next. The only problem with mine is that we could not get it to connect to WiFi. However, there have been a lot of issues with this machine based on comments in a Nespresso Facebook group that I am in so I cannot in good conscience recommend this model. The only good news is that Nespresso has worked with people to either repair or replace it as needed.

I own the Evoluo in Red. There are a couple or maybe a few things I wish my machine had. That swivel water tank would really benefit me. I don't have a lot of kitchen counter space. Although I don't have a major issue with the top opening. I can open it with one hand, but closing it sometimes I need both hands. This not a deal breaker for me. I like my coffee piping hot & my machine does not do that, it's only warm. At first this was a deal breaker for me & almost considered sending it back. Once looking at your videos & Alex Mojica's I only make Iced drinks. I could not be happier & decided to keep it. I don't regret it. I have used many of your recipe videos. My favorite is the Pistachio latte & purchased the syrup because of that. I have used this recipe with the double Chiaro with GHIRARDELLI sea salt carmel on top. I have to say my toes curled up & my eyes rolled up in the back of my head. It was that good. My pod holder is on the side but really holds a lot. Just would like it to have that one touch button & for it to make hot coffee. This why I different machines including a moka pot. I am glad I kept my Nespresso. No regrets....
Vertuoplus the best, my next broke after 4 months, Nespresso said they will send new one, and I asked if they can send me plus instead of next, and they were nice and they send me plus deluxe version, I love vertuoplus

I got a Virtuo next as a gift, but I’m going to return and pay the difference for a Plus, because that opening and closing mechanism really feels very archaic! It feels like a cheap machine that I need to force and crank it shut! 🥴

@@maisonmalli I already did and omg… the next is miles better! I really agreed with you on the crema as well, a lot thicker and dense. The crema on the next would just disappear within a minute or so! It’s an entirely different experience using the Plus from using the Next.

I love my V PLUS. I love everything about it. I do not like the Next because of that lid that isn't electric. And it's ugly. Of couse that's jmho. My V Plus is red and black and has the flat top. I am not a fan of the round top V Plus.
