      Yes! The base is basically just a GPU and a battery, could ezpz slap a bunch of ports on it. Big hype!

      Rtx2060 nah,1080,rtx is not worth it and it’s too expensive,they would need to change the power supply because the 1060 drains the power of the laptop even when it’s charging.This laptop would be the most expensive laptop cuz it’s one of a kind

    • @ashenlonel6923
      @ashenlonel6923 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      AndretheDias yes but compare that to all rtx graphics cards,what would u want.A super expensive that only has one gimmick that is on only 4-5 games or a card that can play demanding games at 70 80 FPS

      I have a surface book 2 and guys don’t expect this to be a gaming machine,for that buy a razer,omen,Lenovo,Alienware laptop,this laptop is a all in one laptop,it’s meant to be more for creators and doings video and programming,rendering work,but it CAN play games,if you want a better gaming experience,get the 1060,but play games at 1080p and you will have a great gaming experience:(remember that the screen is cap at 60htr so above 60 is good)or wait until Microsoft reveals the surface 3 .

      @@nicegy0197 if you place it on your legs, it can be uncomfortable. Not a problem imo, but it can be for somebody. It also dependens a lot on how and when you use it. If it always sits in a desk in a warm office, you don't even notice.

      @TheDavid I think you're mixing up TB3 with USB C. Having USB C enables all the thing you mentioned. USB C port with TB3 supports enables eGPU support or other higher bandwidth use cases, which is overkill for most people.

    • @JhamEntertainment
      @JhamEntertainment 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Omkar Vinchure personally do not have much experience with MacBooks. However, the surface book has only had speed issues when running a couple editing programs at a time. (Also MacBook users are jealous of my laptop lol)

    • @hemlimchhay288
      @hemlimchhay288 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Omkar Vinchure I own the 15” model and I have not regret this decision at all mainly cuz I got on sale for around $1950 dollars(256gb ver). The only issue that I had was the keyboard not being responsive unless reboot happened twice only a couple weeks in but it’s gone now bought it since January 2019. And compared to the MacBook Pro 2017 the SB 2 is waay better. my MBP’s screen keeps flickering every now and then and don’t get me started with the glitchy keyboard. So imo the SB 2 is a way better choice if you’re not tied to macOS.

      Jham Entertainment ikr! My friend who was owns a MacBook Air said to me if you’re spending $2k on a laptop why not buy a MacBook? And Boy! I DESTROYED her by comparing the MacBook Pro’s price/spec/performance/features to my SB 2 needless to say she didn’t say a word and we didn’t talk to each other for the rest of the week. 😭😂

      Mistic Lol 😆 I guess you should patch up quickly though. Jokes apart, I honestly am not able to decide between SL2 and SB2. SL2 is portable. SB2 has this big gap when we close the screen. But SB2 has power and works as a tab. I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Nice video and lovely B-roll, but I really wish more tech reviewers talked about actually using the product in tablet mode. Tbh I find using it without the keyboard an extremely buggy, uncomfortable mess, Windows just isn’t well optimised for tablets at all. Just doing simple tasking like browsing chrome, or watching TH-cam is painful without well optimised apps.

    I wish they would do (for the 2019 refresh) six core i7 on the 15" version with a RTX 2060. A mini fan inside the display to help with cooling the CPU. Two USB-C (both thunderbolt 3 and power) on the left side of the base and SD card reader and 2 standard USB +HDMI on the right. With all this, it will be one of the best laptops we have ever seen... And if there is any company to do it then it's Microsoft

    • @connerforbis1466
      @connerforbis1466 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they did do that it'd probably be Mini-HDMI which sucks imo. A laptop of this size I'd personally like to see an ethernet port for, but seeing as you could theoretically just get an ethernet to USB-C adapter, even better if they add TB3, I can forgive it.

    Here are what I like this laptop: 1 it really has a unique design. The detachable philosophy behind it is impressive considering it is the first to design and present it to the market. 2 it has gorgeous premium and futuristic material, magnesium that is also expensive, and the silver appearance gives it a premium looking and feeling. 3 it adopts advanced design idea, the fan and the CPU are behind the display, which makes it a detachable pad when separated from the keyboard. 4 it has varied and versatile functionality for allowing us to use sophisticated pen drawing on it taking notes painting highlighting notes and so on.
    However, I also have some concerns that needed to be shown here. 1 I do not like fan seriously. I seriously wish they can present an advanced version with less power consuming capability rendering me a quieter space. 2 this is not about the machine. I wish Microsoft can develop a simplified operating system version to make the system less heavier, which means opening time is faster, battery consuming is less, application running is faster with less power consumption. 3 I wish it can be lighter and thinner than it is now by choosing integrated graphic card than discrete card. 4 make the battery larger and longer, I need this, we need this feature.

    I just bought one and love this 13" laptop. I pop the screen off all the time and the battery life is surprisingly good on the tablet. I use it for games also but not worried about the bars on top and bottom (I also plug into surface dock and my 1080p screen which is perfect resolution for this machine to handle)... and having the gtx 1050 in this small package is awesome! I haven't seen another laptop this small with these dedicated graphics. For games I plug it in and keep my battery settings on the middle settings and then the fans don't kick up as loud as the high setting and I didn't see much loss of fps. It also charges the battery with no problems while you are playing games so no need to worry about always needing to have a full battery before starting to have a long gaming session. I got mine on Swappa as a "used" laptop for half the price and all I can say is minus having the box opening experience, the machine was like new with a few battery charges on it. If your on a budget and don't care to take a little time to find it, the Swappa website was a very good deal.

    1) The screen is very fragile, due to the clawshell design the upper part of the glass screen hits the aluminium body concentrating all impact close to the camera, my broke twice with just an normal close (using rubber protector now.
    2) the hinge only open around 75degrees , not enough for all situations forcing to use the detach function in situations that i would prefer not (laying in the bad with laptop in your legs).

      @@UkaGames I bought a 2nd hand SB1 early last year and then it was already a year old. Sold it 2 months ago to get a SB2. The SB1 never failed on me. But I have had surface devices since the 1st Surface Pro (SP1,SP3, SB1, Surface Go, SB2) - i only ever had to return the original SP1 to MS, but their support is great. Courier picks it up, 2 days later I had a new unit delivered. It's not shitty support like Apple where you have to pay additional for extra years (Applecare) then when you have an issue have to wait weeks to get to a Genius bar apointment (at least in Amsterdam, its always crowded) deliver your Macbook then wait 2-3 weeks to pick it up. So even if something happened to your SB2 it's painless to get support.

    BIGGEST PROBLEM: A "Bluetooth" keyboard that cannot be used while DETACHED. Too funny. Micro$oft GET THIS FIXED ASAP. Please. There're many occasions I'd like to type AWAY from the screen (and I'm definitely not the only one). The technology is already "baked-in" for crying out loud. Keep my thread up if you agree!

    Don't buy the i5 model with out the performance base. It literally can't run google chrome without using half of its resources. I put a fresh install of windows on it to see if it was perhaps something else causing the issues......nope....

      Exactly, 90% of the users out there do not need the laptop to be on their lap when using. Wifi issues could have been your service provider issues. Opening with one hand is not impossible, even if it's impossible it's just nit-picking. SSD for mine is excellent.
