Hello Alvin. Leave it to you to find a cheap work-around. I always enjoy your videos. You actually fix things. Lynne's Dodge Journey has HS issues with her key fob frequently. I have found that if the fob battery voltage drops below 3.1 volts it stops working. So I pop in new batteries and we are good again for up to a half year.
Thank you Walt! I can relate to your key fob issues, my wife's Cadillac is constantly needing new batteries for the FOBs, very frustrating, since you can't do much without at least one of them working. 😡
Hello Alvin. That must have been driving you mad. You would think the service department could figure it out. I think they are mostly mechanics, and lack the knowledge to troubleshoot electronics. I'm glad to hear that you will hook up the parking lights and not the horn. Seems that a lot of people push the lock button a minimal of three times. George B
Hi George, It has been sooooo frustrating, and I know it's something simple, like a wire that has been cut, or a bad connection...I'll keep working on it, but now we use the FOBs.☺️ Oh man, I really dislike it when people do that with their horns connected... especially early in the morning in a camp ground! 😡
Nice van
