I'm glad that the true "good" ending, in which your reputation with all the factions is friendly, is so much brighter than this. I noticed quite a few things here that differed, excluding every companion being able to survive. I especially noticed that if Dunncas (who is by far the best high king) is voted in, Ullan loses his title of chief as a consequence of his shady actions towards the other clans, even if he was perceived as being "bullied" first. Additionally, Theleme and the Bridge Alliance finally have peace with the natives, where the Alliance institutes an ethics council, and religious emissaries focus on dialogue over conversion. Overall, such a wonderful game with some shocking twists. I sincerely hope there's a sequel, this completely satiated my urge for a Dragon Age type RPG.
Yaaas, I completely agree! Also, we can't forget how the natives begin sending Doneigada to the continent, which results in the first ever decline in the Malichor's prevalence rates everywhere. Plus some natives join the Nauts too, who start to drift away from their overly secretive tendencies ;) Amazing game, I want more!!!

I got your ending except for the part where the Bridge Alliance institutes an ethics council. The alliance did help me in the final battle though and Aphra survived. But mine went something like: the people were becoming suspicious of the bridge alliance because of strong rumors of their doctors' violent practices and the alliance's willingness to protect them from persecution. I say it's well deserved.

You gotta basically ignore all your companions side quests and have a bad relationship with every faction.

This is definitely a false comparison, you basically ignore all of your companions and then course they're all dead at the end. I don't believe if there is a good ending to this game per se, because the malachor is still a present no matter what you do. This is just more fatalist BS that honestly just doesn't hold up.

Technomancer is better
its a dramatic game, very nice designed in history line. Spiders have my attention to future games after Greedfall. But not every ending is bad. I did the game in "normal" and chose the best option (sometimes I omite some information, but generaly i say the true, specialy with natives, and help everyone if possible). The end was not so bad, the malichor was ddecreasing thanks to Duncas and the good relations between The continent and Teer frader, and the good relations between the continent civilizations (Congregation of merchants, Theléme and the other whose name I miss). Every companion survived and visit me, I fucked Síora ans was haapy about it, and everything seems to apoint to a better future than the present moment when you assume the comand of "De Sardet".
I think you misunderstood the point of this video. It is to see how horrible things go in both version of the bad ending. No one implied there are not good endings. This is specifically to see the ending so bad you would never get it in your real playthrough because you have to do everything in the worst possible way and who does that? There are other videos of the good endings. The kill/join decision is not what makes for the good or bad ending; those are two versions of this bad ending.
Also, the Malichor is indeed "cured" in the best ending. Maybe you misunderstood, but the declining cases is because it is caused by the land being damaged and when it is fully healed the Malichor will be over completely. It is not a disease that spreads between people; it is more of a toxin induced condition in the tainted water, land, food, etc. Sort of like all the plastic and lead in our world. It's a clear allegory to how poisoned our real world is and how we all are getting more and more toxins in our blood, if that went past your notice.
