Is this how Shout Factory usually packages Collector's Editions? Holy shit. My UK version from zavvi arrived heavily damaged and had to be returned because they just throw it in box where it flies around. What a bummer that the only Region B version is zavvi exclusive (´。＿。｀)
I'm praying to god even though I am atheist that my copy from ZAVVI isn't ruined. Australia has had it really tough with this evangelion release, as ZAVVI is our only option.
I would try out the Blu-ray copy, but the pre-order that my parents got isn’t delivered yet, so I have to be patient and wait for it until it arrives in new condition.
Mine had a factory defect and came with 2 copies of the "official dub" and zero copies of the classic dub. I am beyond disappointed in this horribly price gouged product.
@@ThaRedPitbull It's really bad. Everything is translated way too literally from Japanese. It ends up sounding like robots speaking sentences no real human ever would.
@@daydreamindaze Why would they do that? It doesn't make any sense. So the only way to get the original dub is to buy the set from Shout Factory? Do no other Blu-ray sets exist?
@@ThaRedPitbull It was apparently a request from the Japanese IP owners, Khara. They had their in-house translator provide the translations, and they seem to had some creative input with the dubs in terms of script & casting approvals.
@@Mark_TDD Thanks. I found that out a day or so ago after looking around. I'm enjoying the show a lot. I'm only on the 2nd disc but do you think the rebuilds are worth watching? From what I've read, they are just retellings.

That's unacceptable for the price. I ordered the one that had the "Netflix dub" that I keep hearing people complain about. Is it really that damn bad?
