    Hey Guys,
    In today's video i'm going to be showing you how to remove the whole front end of the 350z (Z33) in order to remove the engine. I will be showing how to remove the bumper, the headlights, the radiator support, the radiator, and the A/C core and various other parts. This part is the crucial first step in removing your engine out of your 350z.

    Replacing the core support, rad and other front end components on my new Z project car. Thanks for the teardown! Was worried about the AC condenser the most, but that seems to be one of the simpler parts of this project. Appreciate you! 🤘

    Hey man, I know this video is 4 years old but if you see this comment please respond. I’ve been looking for videos on how to remove my core support, do you think doing the Hr model would just be the same?

    • @KyleHidalgo
      @KyleHidalgo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think it should be pretty much the same. I think the only thing they really changed was the engine

  • @gabrielarteaga4847
    @gabrielarteaga4847 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You removed a bunch of extra.
    Power steering can be pushed aside and if you disconnect ac compressor u can push ac lines to the side as well without unchanging the system.

    • @KyleHidalgo
      @KyleHidalgo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True, I was working in a really small space though and wanted as much room as possible. Also it's kind of a pain in the ass to leave the power steering cooler connected because then you have the rad support in your way on the side. Doesn't save enough time to equal the hassle of having crap in your way especially for something as easy as those two things.

      Hey just saw this, I can't remember to well but you might be able to get away with unbolting the condenser and moving it out of the way but you might risk breaking a line.

      @@KyleHidalgoI just did everything you did in this video because I was fixing my frame and I never took off the condenser. So yes you can but, I now put everything back on and my AC doesn’t work. I don’t know if I plugged in my harness wrong or what I wish I could’ve seen up close all your connections

    This video has help a ton, im changing my Oil Galley Gaskets and Timing Chain.

    • @KyleHidalgo
      @KyleHidalgo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh man, good luck with it bro. I should have filmed it but I recently did that and it turned into a pain in the ass quick. lol Just be careful about stripping the oil gallery screws, a few are hard to get to. If you do happen to strip one, I just drilled it out a bit and then hammered a hex bit into the screw and broke it loose with inward pressure and a ratchet. Also make sure your timing doesn't jump or you'll be taking you valve covers off to reset it. let me know if you need any more tips

    is there a way I can discharge my AC at home?

    • @moisesjavierguerrero4240
      @moisesjavierguerrero4240 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What happens if I don't discharge it and take it off like that?

    • @KyleHidalgo
      @KyleHidalgo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely would not take it off without discharging it because it will shoot freon in your face or on your skin. And not in a way that's good for the environment (I.e. Carefully disconnecting a connection) .

    • @hostilityy
      @hostilityy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@moisesjavierguerrero4240 Lol not discharging it and removing lines with 100Psi of refrigerant means you'll need to go to the hospital for major tissue damage from burns.
      go to any mechanic shop and pay them $40 bucks and they'll discharge for you. I've payed $20 sometimes for some cars.
      if you connect AC gauges and slightly open it to vent to atmosphere, the AOC politician will destroy you because 20oz is more than the computer air can dusters that people use everywhere with pretty much the same contents.

    How do you remove the from plastic shroud so easily ??? My little reservoir for I think windshield wiper fluid won’t come off it’s got hoses connected to the bottom I can’t get off ……

    • @KyleHidalgo
      @KyleHidalgo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the stuck hoses you can try boiling water and poor it on them to losen them up or get some pliers and carefully try to twist them back and forth while pulling back to break them loose

    When buys a core support, there’s two parts to it? Like the radiator part and the headlight part?

      You can buy them together or separate depending on what you need

      I don't think that would even be possible on the 350, there is not much room to work with. Plus I didn't have enough clearance even if it was possible

    what holds the radiator and condenser in/from falling? Also any chance you know the layout of the wiring harness? I have a 350z I bought crashed and the wiring got cut in the accident. I am not sure what the connectors are for. ( I have a shell also with a harness but I dont see wires from the harness to the ECU... just nothing but there are no wires cut so I was going to steal those connectors unless you happen to know more about it than me haha I dont know anything about these cars. this is my first one).

    • @KyleHidalgo
      @KyleHidalgo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are attached to each other and then to the fiberglass radiator support. I do not but it's pretty straight forward besides the coil packs. It starts on the driver side cam position sensor and wraps around the engine to the Passanger side sensor/firewall. I can try and send you a video if you want?
