    16k miles on my 2022 390 adventure. I'm really looking forward to seeing the final product. But I'll wait until 2026. Lots of small/midsize bikes with excellent specs coming out. It's an exciting time.

      @adr2567 just keep in mind that the catalytic converter is right before the resonator, and some of the deletes don't have room to house it. Some people don't care, but it's a hefty fine where I am if you don't have it.

      @@OneOldManRiding I could go on for an hour about that, and leave you more confused than I am about my upcoming choices. My ultimate goal is to ride from my home in West Palm Beach to California, and perhaps beyond. The Rebel 1100 tugs at my practicality heartstrings, but I know Id hate it afterwards. And I think I need some dirt capability. I sat on the Suzuki 800 (standard) the other day, and I really liked it. Id say it's the current frontrunner.
      Himalayan 450? Could it do it? It is throttle by wire...
      The BMW 800GS would be great, but I'd probably be too broke to afford the trip afterwards...
      What surprises could come at EICMA? A Versys X500 would be hard to say no to.

    Really love the new re-design for true adventure riding lower end ADV bike. All the flaws in the design can be fixed. I did most of those fixes to my previous 390 adventure. New exhaust header without the resonator (a must), removed passenger pegs mounts, small engine/frame crash bars, more protective skid plate, tail tidy, Ergo seat, and heated grips. Expecting US MSRP to come in at $8200 for the R version.

    A bit late to the party. The market have soaked up Himalayan 450 and CF moto 450 MT. In fact, there is a long list of back orders awaiting delivery
    😅😂
    I'm sure we will Honda CRF come to the party and now this KTM 390 (unreliable engine issue) along with other manufacturers wanting a piece of 500cc segment.
    The fact that these major manufacturers did not give what the market has been asking for for years, other brands who stepped up gained loyalty (me and my colleagues). We are a big group of adv riders out of Indonesia and we're very happy with CF MOTO and Himalayan.

      There are ongoing rumors about the 390 supermoto, which has been spotted lately. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will see it in the 2025 lineup. That affordable will never happen but I hope when there is a 390sm there will be a 401sm too, which will be cheap when the following year's models are released. However, Husqvarna doesn't make something rc1290ish and I don't feel like they ever will.

      @@mermerac Nice! What will the MSRP be? And can you tell me the approximate height and length? I was looking at an article and of some pictures with a rider on it and it looks (hopefully not) smaller than a DRZ400SM (which is what I currently have).
      I rode a 2014 390 Duke back in 2014 and it was too small for me (knees a bit in my chest). Hopefully the ergos on the 390 frames are better now.
      It also looks like there is a 2024 KTM RC8, but again, you forgot to price it properly. $42000? Honda CBR1000RR-R is $32000. NFW is there 10K of extra goodies in the RC8.

    Yes, this is what the imaginary '490 Adventure' should've been. Huge missed opportunity for KTM. I'm with you on the exhaust mounting, that's just silly; also wondering why they insist on keeping the resonator when so many 390 owners have removed it? The bike is only marginally louder without it. My other thought is, what did they do with the tank size? Clearly the tank on this prototype is much narrower and higher than the 390's. The 390's 3.8 gal tank is a definite plus for range!

    I'm sure it's a good bike. But why does the paint job look like the bike's wrapped up in newspaper?...

      Probably to disguise the final graphics for the upcoming premiere. It's almost certainly not gonna look like that on showroom floor. The orange splash on the seat indicates it will probably come in the traditional orange/black/white KTM color scheme.

      To disguise the test bike, it's typical for test cars/bike to be wrapped into that.

    Why they stupid enogh not to build something like this with the 690 engine. .?

    • @occlusion6557
      @occlusion6557 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It would be great, but they are getting rid of the 690 single because it’s harder to meet new emission standards with it and going to the lc8c platform for a 690 twin

      @@occlusion6557 yes I know. But they could have made it 10 years ago like the 640 Adv

      I hope Ducati will do that on the hypermotard's basis.
      Imagine a a Desert 698, with the look of the the big sistema and the weight of the motard.

    i love my duke 390, but would like something a bit taller. the adventure does not really do it for me. The 2025 though seems to be inspired by the new Himalayan. I'm sure it'll be a great machine, but just not what I'm looking for.

    No it is not the bike we have been waiting for. It is another bike destroyed by heavy weight and low hp which stupid euro5/A2 license dictate, morronic low seat. A2 riders, just wait, don't mess the global market!!!!

    I still don’t believe a 390 is a true ADV. no way that’s taking a 600 mile pavement journey to get to an M selected off road site. Soon they’ll be saying a 250 is ADV

    • @Deertracks123
      @Deertracks123 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Adv is what you make it

    • @backcountry4life
      @backcountry4life 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ I disagree. Thats why there’s off-road, dual sport, enduro, ADV and street classes and the motorcycles are built for one of those purposes. A bullet bike is not built for off-road so sure, you can take a bullet bike off-road, but it’s never gonna be called an off-road bike
