The End hits even harder with Optimus and Megatron fighting behind it. These two brothers turned Arch-Enemies struggle to decide the fate of two worlds. The second reference is the one you've mentioned, when megatron lethally wounds optmius with 3 shots at his spark and he falls over Megatron goes into "I would had waited an eternity for this! Honestly I think this song fits the ending of this game more than the actual soundtrack. The instrumental is somber, sad even tragic. A perfect embodiment of what this proud race of beings is reduced to. Fighting a war centuries old against each other on a completely different world. These themes truly hit like a truck. (No pun intend) I’m Here starts off slow, as if to prepare for the final showdown. This is it. You’re fighting the final villain, everything comes down to this. Then the guitar kicks in. The fight’s only getting started, and as the intensity continues, there it is. I’M HERE. The fight’s now kicked into full gear. You’re sweating (Probably, never played Frontiers) as the fight gets more intense, until you beat the boss, and everything slows down again as everything returns back to normal. Then there’s The End. It starts off energetic. This is it, you’ve reached the TRUE TRUE end. This is the REAL final boss. The ultimate villain that threatens the universe. It all comes down to this. And then the theme kicks in. You’re doing it, keep going. You’re almost there, keep trying. It gets more intense as it shows that there might be hope to stop this guy. It keeps going, the fight is intense, then just as you beat him, the theme slows down to say: “You did it.” Sonic has been no stranger to good music. From CD, to Adventure, to Unleashed, and now Frontiers, we’ve had some amazing tracks, like Never Turn Back, With Me, What I’m Made Of, too many to list. And I’m glad to say that Frontiers is keeping up with the tradition.
Years have gone by, *but I've never forgotten how epic this Final Battle was.* The Animation, Dialogue, Gameplay, Music, Optimus' Final Words, etc. Man this was so incredible. 🔥 *I still hope that one day this underrated jem of a game will get a sequel.* 🤞
it should have by now but for some reason you cannot even BUY it online you have to find a disc copy somewhere. they alluded to a sequel and then just.... dumped the entire franchise, we have not had ANYTHING transformers since this game and that is a crime
@@HyperShadow991 They had a sequel comic for this game, but that’s all I could find. I’m not even a fan of Transformers, but I hope this gets revived someday.
I am so glad I lived long enough to bear witness to this absolute masterpiece. I have thoroughly enjoyed Transformers: Devastation and Sonic: Frontiers, and it feels like -- to me -- that the two games were meant for eachother. It's enough to bring a tear to my eye.
I loe how both sides are being put to the test, one side who loves his home and will do anything to save it and one side who respects all life and wants to find a peaceful solution to bring cybertron back.
I still think the True Final Boss for Frontiers in general is underapreciated The Ikaruga Reference is one thing But the fact its the first Story heavy focused final boss in the series like how Yoko Taro games does it is honestly pretty great Because the thing is, it doesnt show about the destination about Frontiers, its the entire journey Sonic been through He has his own personal growth to actually have insight on other characters And seeing his friends having their own personal growth and want to separate ways with him soo they can have their own character arc And the fact Frontiers is the MOST we see Super Sonic in the series
okay, so, you can do a yoko taro style boss dialogue without ruining the momentum of the game's ending, you can give a boss plenty of dialogue, you can even have an ikaruga reference... but...don't put the ikaruga reference as the final boss, because the game I paid money for was open world sonic doing devil may cry combos, and NOT ikaruga. the enemy's design is boring, its personality and motivations are one dimensional, and if I wanted to play ikaruga, I'd play ikaruga. a boss is meant to be a test of your skills in the game you've been playing. not a test of your skills in a little minigame that happens twice. Was it a cool, cinematic moment? Absolutely! Was I okay with the fact that it was the final phase of the boss and not phase 2/3, so I could end things properly as super sonic? Of course not. It's a great sequence, but it's definitely not what you want to end your game on, because the two things people tend to remember most are the best moment of a game and the last moment of a game, and this game deserves better than to be remembered for a jarring cut to an ikaruga boss instead of a sonic frontiers boss.
to add to my previous comment I'd like to bring up the final boss of black knight which does the whole yoko taro feel way better. she's talky, sonic argues against her points, they both espouse their philosophies as they clash, but it's still a character who...is a character. is motivated, is part of the story. And some good sonic bosses have had no real story presence, but they still work out just fine. like, biolizard, no personality, no motivation, just gonna kill because it kills...but it still works because everything about it is everything about shadow that he's had to grow past through the story, externalized as an enemy for him to defeat. the end is just this...out of view nothing for the whole game. its motivation is "I'm just gonna blow up everything because everything's going to be blown up by me." it's iblis, but it's as talky as mephiles, and that doesn't work.
You know , seeing how the song of the end Boss Battle is titled "i'm with you" seeing how that can Apply to this Game in some way of how Optimus decide to sacrifice a way of saving cybertron and help humanity helps the song a lot on the message Both with i'm here , Also both combined make "i'm here, i'm with you"
I like how after optimus beats the brakes off of megatron and destroys the Ferrotaxis hes just like "Welp, I have no safe way down, time to fall to my death."
I love your Decision to have both supreme and the ends theme in this, and it makes so much sense since the final final battle between Optimus and megatron is a genuine heart to heart about their desire to save Cybertron
Honestly, Devastion is actually a great Sonic-like game. You've got the adrenaline-filled combat, the fast transportation modes, the rock music and the engaging storyline that pulls from previous mythos. If the vehicle sections were a bit more involved, i'd say it would be a perfect template on how to make a Sonic game. It's my best argument for why Platinum should make a Sonic game.
This was by far intense. Both wanted what's best for cybertron but they shared different visions of how they wanted it to be.Optimus wanted peace for Cybertron and his people whilst megatron sought violence against those who tortured him because he was once a slave,If you think about it Megatron was a fallen hero. These two may have had some disagreements about how they wanted Cybertron's Future to be,But both wanted what's best for their planet and their people. They were brothers once but now they fight.Optimus wanted to save Cybertron but that also means not harming the other species and their planets.Cybertron isn't just about Robot life,It's about all life,Organic or Robotic,A transformers or a human it's about all of them not just about servos and Gyros but also all living ordinary organisms and non organisms
Where the fuck you getting this fanfic information? Optimus was a random worker who was put near death by Megatron, who was a militar autobot who wanted to rule cybertron due to his arrogance.
The music pretty much changes this from a classic Optimus vs Megatron battle where they both live to fight another day, to pretty much an emotionally driven battle between two weary warriors facing each other in one climatic final battle. Like the second phase with them talking literally feels like Optimus has no choice but to end Megatron once and for all.
Megatron honestly was a bit of an idiot with that failsafe. He should know by now that Optimus would 100% destroy that thing to keep Earth and the life inhabiting it safe.
I just want to add that the final fight here is what The End should have felt like. Aa much as I loved that fight in a storywise perspective, it would be cool if it was as difficult as this to show how The End is the strongest foe Sonic has fought so far. That could not have been his true form. Can't wait for the patch notes, hope they make it as epic as this. And music really does express emotion. It feels as climatic as The End did. It's like the final adventure, and you gotta give it all you got.

Omg literally everything is in sync in the final part. I'm glad that I am not the only one who thinks "I'm with you" is still a pretty good final boss theme. Its probably because of The End being a meh final boss. This theme would fit anywhere else like Hollow Knight or really any Kirby games final boss. I'm watching this multiple times because the dialogue and synchronization has me in awe...

Kudos for getting the whole interaction between Optimus and Megatron at the end, Peter and Frank really brought their a-game to Devastation.
This just makes me wonder what a conversation between Optimus and Sonic would be like and how their personalities would mesh
I mean IDW has both rights in comics so maybe someday.
Sonic's basically if Sideswipe was as fast as Blurr; he'd be a familiar beat for Prime.
@@sonictj3 IDW is gonna lose the license to Transformers at the end of this year
@@sonictj3 If MLP of all things can crossover with TF I don't see why Sonic can't
@@theinkslicer SEGA and HASBRO ya bastards, i need Super Optimus and Sonicus Prime on desk by tomorrow!
Years have gone by, *but I've never forgotten how epic this Final Battle was.*
The Animation, Dialogue, Gameplay, Music, Optimus' Final Words, etc. Man this was so incredible. 🔥
*I still hope that one day this underrated jem of a game will get a sequel.* 🤞
Or be available on steam again
it should have by now but for some reason you cannot even BUY it online you have to find a disc copy somewhere. they alluded to a sequel and then just.... dumped the entire franchise, we have not had ANYTHING transformers since this game and that is a crime
@@HyperShadow991 They had a sequel comic for this game, but that’s all I could find. I’m not even a fan of Transformers, but I hope this gets revived someday.
3:12 it fitted so well in this part
"The humans will decide their own fate"
Optiumis i love you but without alien intervention we are 100% going to kill ourselves with nukes.
I am so glad I lived long enough to bear witness to this absolute masterpiece. I have thoroughly enjoyed Transformers: Devastation and Sonic: Frontiers, and it feels like -- to me -- that the two games were meant for eachother. It's enough to bring a tear to my eye.
These are just really well-edited. The timing on 4:30 especially.
ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!
MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!
love that this no-hit fight is the same as optimus single-handedly tearing megatron apart in Dark of the Moon
Ok, The End theme plus this ending fits so well.
The music having swelled up like it had with Optimus giving his "You must be stopped!" line honestly gave me chills, damn-
I loe how both sides are being put to the test, one side who loves his home and will do anything to save it and one side who respects all life and wants to find a peaceful solution to bring cybertron back.
I forgot how good this game was.
The scene of Optimus falling from space to Earth. That's just pure perfection. Just. Pure. PERFECTION.
I still think the True Final Boss for Frontiers in general is underapreciated
The Ikaruga Reference is one thing
But the fact its the first Story heavy focused final boss in the series like how Yoko Taro games does it is honestly pretty great
Because the thing is, it doesnt show about the destination about Frontiers, its the entire journey Sonic been through
He has his own personal growth to actually have insight on other characters
And seeing his friends having their own personal growth and want to separate ways with him soo they can have their own character arc
And the fact Frontiers is the MOST we see Super Sonic in the series
I liked "The End's" monologue and for what it was worth, the Ikaruga gameplay was fun.
okay, so, you can do a yoko taro style boss dialogue without ruining the momentum of the game's ending, you can give a boss plenty of dialogue, you can even have an ikaruga reference...
but...don't put the ikaruga reference as the final boss, because the game I paid money for was open world sonic doing devil may cry combos, and NOT ikaruga. the enemy's design is boring, its personality and motivations are one dimensional, and if I wanted to play ikaruga, I'd play ikaruga.
a boss is meant to be a test of your skills in the game you've been playing. not a test of your skills in a little minigame that happens twice.
Said boss, like Nier: Automata, also have this implicit "overcoming existential odds via love and connections" theme going on there, which is nice.
to add to my previous comment I'd like to bring up the final boss of black knight which does the whole yoko taro feel way better. she's talky, sonic argues against her points, they both espouse their philosophies as they clash, but it's still a character who...is a character. is motivated, is part of the story.
@@sigurdgram What about the Drakengard Games Hidden Final Boss?
They didnt have any dialogue
It was just ominous
You know , seeing how the song of the end Boss Battle is titled "i'm with you" seeing how that can Apply to this Game in some way of how Optimus decide to sacrifice a way of saving cybertron and help humanity helps the song a lot on the message
Both with i'm here , Also both combined make "i'm here, i'm with you"
Dude Peter Cullen and Frank Welker went hard on this, they put their heart and soul into the voices on this game, absolutely amazing.
This proves "I'm with you" can be such an amazing song used in the right fight. Hopefully they keep it on the reworked final boss in the expansion.
Optimus Prime: Your Decepticon is over, give me the Ferrotaxis.
Megatron: If you want it. Then you’ll have to take it. But you already know that.
I like how after optimus beats the brakes off of megatron and destroys the Ferrotaxis hes just like "Welp, I have no safe way down, time to fall to my death."
I LOVE how “I’m with you” plays as Optimus falls to Earth while giving his speech - the beautiful piano music goes so well with his message
You starting to sound like Optimus for real!
Where the fuck you getting this fanfic information?
Optimus was a random worker who was put near death by Megatron, who was a militar autobot who wanted to rule cybertron due to his arrogance.
This is how playing with Transformers figures fresh out of the box felt like.
7:45 The Whole sequence is Perfect
"I understand now, Megatron. This universe, no matter how vast, will never be big enough for the both of us..." -Optimus Prime
Surprisingly more fitting here than the final boss in Sonic Frontiers. I love it.
No, both final boss is the best thing to watch and fitting you idiot.
The music pretty much changes this from a classic Optimus vs Megatron battle where they both live to fight another day, to pretty much an emotionally driven battle between two weary warriors facing each other in one climatic final battle. Like the second phase with them talking literally feels like Optimus has no choice but to end Megatron once and for all.
this just kinda makes it more emotional... more than what its going for
You legit can put most if not all Sonic Frontiers boss music to just about any epic fight and it will fit.
*_"Follow me, Optimus Prime, I'm standing at the border of everything..."_*
Megatron honestly was a bit of an idiot with that failsafe. He should know by now that Optimus would 100% destroy that thing to keep Earth and the life inhabiting it safe.
Damn, when “I’m With You” started playing I was almost in tears
I just want to add that the final fight here is what The End should have felt like. Aa much as I loved that fight in a storywise perspective, it would be cool if it was as difficult as this to show how The End is the strongest foe Sonic has fought so far. That could not have been his true form. Can't wait for the patch notes, hope they make it as epic as this.
And music really does express emotion. It feels as climatic as The End did. It's like the final adventure, and you gotta give it all you got.
ever since i saw your combo showcase video for transformers devastation you gave me the insipiration to make content of my own for transformers devastation cause like you i wanted to spread the name of the game so that everyone on earth can play this underapreciated masterpiece that i consider to be platinums best game so its safe to say you made another great video lovely combos as always loved the megs qte cool beans
You got me into this game, and i finished it too even a few days ago.
Without ya,i probably even wouldnt know this game for the rest of my life XDD
Edit:The End horrifyingly fits with Prime and Megatron's final battle in this game btw
I haven't heard of this game until i stumble upon your videos and now i need to play this ASAP. Thanks Sonic Frontiers.
6:59 this entire exchange goes so fucking crazy, like god damn the writing in this game is so good
more people neet to know about transformer devastation, not only the story is pretty good but it also has the balls to the wall insane combo system and crazy boss fights like mgr and dmc
Ngl Megatron would be an awesome antagonist for Sonic.
They both fight for freedom, but one through tyranny and the other through saving.
Megatron whipping out Zanzokens and Spirit Bombs. He musta been training with Goku.
You mean goku black
This is a banger of an edit. Hits as hard as this fight, but with "The Touch"
That was truly awesome and amazing at the same time. Please do more of this with the other bosses in this game, please.
i’m so happy my copy of this game is still working, this is why it’s aged like a fine wine and a damn shame it isn’t being sold anymore
I mean the music is nice and all but your gameplay is godlike!
I played this game... a lot.
@@MariusUrucu i only ever platinumed it, and then left it, but now i have an itch to come back again, thanks to you
@@MariusUrucu I play this game a lot, as well. I even played it at my friend's house earlier, today. And it's still fun as heck play. And I am a Bumblebee main in this game. He, in my opinion, is the best character in the game to play as. I love the way he fights. Well, clearly I love the way all of the characters fight in the game, of course. And I really don't think this game will never ever get old play. But, there's something wrong with my copy, though. It won't load the game up to 100% for something. So, now I won't be able to the game fully. I absolutely have no idea how happened. We tried to fix it, but it still doesn't work. Maybe I need a new copy of the game or something. Because I still want to play more and more of the game. Even if I already 100%ed the game entirely.
And another thing, you're still awesome at the game, as usual. Like that one person said in this comment section. You clearly play 5x better than I do. So, keep up the good work, bro.
@@dantetouchdown9030 I got all of the achievements in the game, as well. And, Marius Urucu here kind of inspired me to play like a god in this game. Which, I definitely do play like a god in this game. Mostly as Bumblebee, my second favorite Transformers character, of course. And I almost done 100%ing the game. I just need to clear all of the remaining challenges with SS ranks in all 5 difficulties.
@@brandonyoung5143 nice, I remember maining sideswipe, i enjoyed his speed and vehicle attacks

this is why Optimus Prime is my Childhood Hero. The way he say it touches my heart and soul and drove me to tears.
😢🙌🏼❤️
This is why I want Transformers in the Super Robot Wars Series.
God bless you Peter Cullen for the wonderful Voice Performance as Optimus Prime.
And you too Marius for the Fantastic editing of the video, you got yourself a subscriber
God, why cant we get a sequel? you know, i feel like the sequel needs to happen. because this game truly...got the touch.
I've always wanted to play this game looks like a lot of fun. Great job.
Those were the best combos I’ve ever seen in this game. I’ve finished prime difficulty (with heavy item usage) but you were doing moves I’ve never seen before.
There's something about reading "Settle the score" under your objective which makes the situation that much cooler
4:30 Perfection
Bless you for bringing new life to not only one of the most underrated games but one of my favorite games of all time. It truly works well with the music from Frontiers and commend you for making them fit with each of these videos.
I know nothing of Transformers outside of Peter Cullen and Frank Welker as Optimus and Megatron respectively, and seeing Revenge of the Fallen, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the actual soundtrack
Damn, I forgot how amazing this game was. I got the digital copy for the PS4, I definitely need to buy the physical and play it again.
Also this was amazing, as a hardcore Sonic fan, and a Transformers fan to boot, this hit me in all the levels.
It shockingly works for this boss fight lol and considering the history between these two it really works
I'm with you sonic frontiers
The greatest game of "No U" ever, now with Sonic Frontiers music
FINALLY this game is getting the attention it deserves! ALSO the soundtrack for this game and Sonic Frontiers are literally my absolute favorite!!!
Optimus in all other forms of media: an equal match to megatron
Optimus in this game: LITERALLY SHREDS HIM TO PIECES WITH THESE COMBOS
This is really good, i would really love to see the plot of devastation adapted into a feature film, more now that the transformers cinematic universe is going for a more gen 1 feel
Optimus and Megatron fought each other with everything they've got for the Ferrotaxis, for the Earth & a New Cybertron.
Optimus was left with no choice but to destroy the Ferrotaxis. He saved the Earth from Megatron. He had a chance to bring back his world and he chose to save ours.
The music is so fitting it's perfect!
This goes hard as fuck especially with the history these two have
Don’t really know why megatron would think Optimus prime wouldn’t destroy the federal taxes.
Why does this fit so well? For real this is satisfying as hell
It's a crime this game got delisted, amazing work bro
1:36 it was the was the perfect sync
and i hope you add undefeatable to the other boss battle as well because damm you sure were undefeated on you last videos

This is a really special video. It gives off the right vibes, especially when Optimus and Megatron have their final showdown in space with the Final Boss Theme from Sonic Frontiers playing in the background.
That wasn''t just kickass, it was beautiful.
“You don’t have the manifolds” imma used that 😂🤣😂
This fit way too well
amazing... both games' endings take place just out of reach of the planet's gravitational pull
