Oh hey. To address some of the questions about my base it was not built for survival functionality, the base was constructed for creative pvp, I had to cut down on many functions because of lag. The missile silo used to work but I disabled it after I couldn't get it to work as I wanted it too. Many of the buildings are empty to save on simspeed during battles.
Tip for saving performance: fill in your buildings. When the buildings are filled in the game has to render fewer surfaces. The whole thing looks awesome though, great work!
Inaccessible doors, plenty of cover, tanks that explode when shot? Seems almost like a map for a first-person shooter. I'd love to have a ground battle in there.
I recommend doing slightly more of an “investigation” before you record. I saw this on the workshop and messed around in the world for a bit, the “spying building” with the satellite dish was called a “listening station” and the yellow tanks are called “Hydrogen storage”. So check the names of grids in the f10 menu and in the terminal.
Yeah, or at least reading the steam workshop description, which he even copy-pasted into the youtube description, explaining why some areas are unfinished and that the missile silo currently doesn't work due to a bug..

Been working on a base build for months, then I see something like this. Takes the wind out of the sails a bit, lol! The creator of this should be proud.
I'm sure they've spent months on this as well. I myself have jumped 15km over and started a new base recently and im almost not exited for the work ahead but the end result will be great for the survival scenario I'm working on.
@@th3lonef0x4 I was thinking of them raiding the site, setting up the defenses, converting the site to a construction yard. Then having Arron send in drones on occasion while messing with their base like when he stole that one ship.
This is a really cool map. Other people have said it, but yes the missile silo needed a blueprint :p Hope lockdown isn't getting you down, or anyone else here for that matter. Thanks for the great vid!
Been a long time lover of this series dude, would love to see a proper nerdy longer series of videos where you really get into every detail of the creations too!
Loved the video LastStandGamers! Have you tried out the water mod by Jakaria? She made it to work with the airplane parts mod and there are plenty of creations on the workshop that are built for the mod, most of which are World War Two related. That would be a good server idea, instead of the event being at the end of the month, make like a somewhat drawn out war. Players will have one or two months to get ready for combat, with three or four months of combat with the admins fighting them around the final week of the combat period. The main catch will be that the whole server (Players and Admins) will need to build ships and aircraft from the 1935-1945 time period.
im probably late to the party, but this would be a perfect battlefront or battlefield map, with different sectors to capture along the road up to the final assault in the building
Yes, and the console players like me, are stuck with stupid turrets that you can't customize like this ones with scripts or extra blocks. Gotta buy gaming pc and then rebuy everything of SE from steam 😂😂
This is perfect for a story scenario like in colony wars. Why build all these complicated, time consuming story set pieces - when you can just download cool designs from the steam workshop, modify them a bit to fit the story (and of course give credit to the original creators)
I have a question. What's to stop players from going there and taking vehicles and bringing them back to their planet or base? Or, do I not understand what this video is about?
@@thefalloutphoenix Forgive my naiveté on such matters. Are you saying one logs into this server with no ship and no home? And basically blows up this place in battles? Or can players spawn in their choice of weapons and ships and blow this place up? I'm not a gamer by any stretch but, I bought space engineers and really don't fully grasp a lot of the massive amount of content this game as amassed by it's players. Thanks for replying.

It seems he LSG claimed it as his own, like countless other builds.

that's actually one thing space engineer's is great for is an fps shooter like that it's only struggles with very large ship battles

The missile silo’s projector block didn’t have a blueprint in it.
Yeah. The missile parts probably would have needed specifc prefixes as well.

When is the next base tour video coming out from your server
10:25 there was a little thing about the other hangar doors to open and close them smh
