This looks like it would be in scale with the trophy/nano figures. Seeing how huge this ship is in-universe, definitely interesting to make it so small. Feels like it could’ve been a bigger set, but this line is already saturated with €100+ sets.

It is odd they made this shuttle so small. It's basically the hero ship of the series and carries multiple people, but this ship can only hold one person.
I wonder if it's possible to modify the storage area to at least fit figures lying down.
Nice minifigures, especially Sabine. Ahsoka's lightsaber blades should be more white than clear, but I'm not sure what color you would use for that.

its because nowadays pretty much every new iterations of ships lego make is downscaled compared to the previous one for basically one reason : less pieces = lower price
Lego's prices has gone up therefore the only ways for lego to still sell to the kids is either lower the price per pieces or make smaller ships/less detailed ships, and we now know what they choosed to do:
that's what they did with the Slave one, Tie-fighter, X-wing, Gunship, Imperial shuttle and so on... and now this set
(Im talking about sets not UCS and adult sets)
lego used to do full wave of SETS with so much things targeting adults and kids at the same time the sets lego used to make were actually big enough to be minifig scale and big enough to have a decent amount of play features
now they make adults UCS or dioramas or things like that for adults (wich are cool aswell but very very pricy) and the playsets are only targeted around kids and therefore they lack accuracies and because they're smaller they also lack play features compared to their previous iterations wich is kinda dumb for a playsets

My thoughts are, they should have made it a bit larger and had a simple interior in the back end, as this is an important set in the show so far. It needs at least an area where Sabine and Ahsoka can train. Plus, they should have made the upper and lower wings mirrored and then attached them back to back. It really doesn't feel worth it to me, though it does look like it would display very well.

I've been getting the lightsaber blemishes for a while, I suggest putting that end into the hilt of the lightsaber to hide the mark.
Be sure to do it this way first, or the silver will rub off and damage the other end of the transparent piece so both sides have little 'extra details' on them.

I actually really like this set & I think it’ll make a good 1st ever Star Wars set for me. As a Ninjago fan I’ve been turned off from getting any Star Wars sets because they always just seemed like expensive gray ships with worse value than other themes, even 10 years ago & taking other factors like the licensing fees, so I’ve only ever BrickLinked the minifigures I liked. I like that this set has some color to it & I really like that spinning function. That in combination with the minifigures really sold me on this set unlike any of the others before. Plus the fact that it’s not some over $100 behemoth I don’t have the budget for now is nice. Sure I’m disappointed that they didn’t even try on the back side but that’s not something I can’t mod myself.

I agree on the obverse for the wing. Bad form. Even the Bad Batch Shuttle has the correct colouring on the anti-studs. The cockpit should have two -- in the show they spend a lot of time there, so Ahsoka and Sabine should be side-by-side. My issues with Huyang are it should have been more of a droid body not a person body. Money-wise, I was fortunate to have had $20 Insider points to use so, I feel better of the price.

Great set, great review. And yes, the flaws you mentioned are true. Some will say: it is easy to modify, because that is what Lego is for. I disagree on that, since you buy a model of a tv-show and pay a lot of money for it, so you can assume it is as close as it can get to the real deal, and why paying money for extra parts to make it more accurate? And ofcourse, the false advertisement, although I like the methaphore of little naughtiness. But, these complaints aside, I loved building it and it has great minifigs, eventhough it looks like Ahsoka has elephant legs with those toe-prints.

This is why I tend to avoid shuttles (and am now very particular about which sets I get). In some cases (Coruscant Gunship) the build/s are amazing but the figures are bad. In this case the figures rock but the build is weak: I dont collect any rotating ships or shuttles because they show off the ugly undetailed underside. Here is to hoping Ahsoka is in more sets down the line but if not I have 2 of her S7 CW figures from Duel on Mandalore and the ATT.

Wonderful review, as always -- thank you. I love the color and design. The undercarriage is disappointing, as everyone has noted but it may be worth ordering tiles from Bricklink to complete the look. Many people will buy this for the minifigures. I wish we had this in a large edition -- a $140 or $160 set to give is more play features. Of course, the big set is the Ghost which will satisfy this need for most people. Missed opportunity to not be able to put both Ahsoka and Huyang in the cockpit, side-by-side or to have a main cargo area with the training room for Sabine and Huyang. There always seems to be a mid-tier price range for sets that parents are more willing to spending money on, and this seems to be it. For $80, it is just not as appealing. Thankfully, Costco has this for $65, so I picked up one to open and one to keep sealed.

I can imagine that integrated into a diorama, especially with the scaled rear gunner position, this set could actually look decent. The greebling and prints are lovely.
However... The massive miss here for me is the lack of arm printing on Sabine. Rebels, Clone Wars and The Mandalorian have all done a great deal to explore Mandalorian lore; its factions, clans, etc. Signets/crests etc are so important, not to mention Mandalorian gauntlets. If Ahsoka got arm printing, as well as other Mandalorian figures, Sabine should have too.

I'm glad they (tried) to keep it cheaper, I still wish it were like 50, lol.
Maybe they should have made the Ahsoka ship the 120 dollar set, and then broke the other ships down into two seperate 40-50 dollar packs.
But I don't know. I would be offended (figure of speech) if Ahsoka herself was locked in a 100+ dollar set. The main character should be accessible for under 100 bucks. They honestly should have had a 20 dollar set with her and Marrok.
I would have been ok with Sabine locked behind a 100 dollar set.

Should’ve made it $120 and made it bigger and finish the other side of the wing, then separate the E wing and starfighter sets into their own individual $40-50 sets for affordability in the wave.

The rear compartments look like they could almost fit a fig each, lied down, and I think they would if they had just a few more plates worth of height & an extra stud worth of width & length.
Here's a little brain exercise... this would necessitate a change in the wing design and probably also the vertical fuselage as well in order to maintain a good (accurate) proportion, and most likely an upsizing at that. And this in turn would increase the price by a noticeable amount...
(I'd guesstimate it would be somewhere between 5 to 15 dollars, with wing widened & lengthened by extra 1 stud on each sides, and more if you enlarge the vertical fuselage too.)
And the figs would still have to lie down in tiny compartments, but I think the option may have been nice, may have been. Looking at some pictures of a filming miniature of this shuttle, I think the thing would at least look fine or maybe even a bit more accurate with these modifications, proportion wise (cockpit section seems much smaller relative to the rest on the filming model, so I don't think any modification is needed there).
I really like the look of this build from what I'm seeing in videos and such, and I'm definitely for down sized builds with lower price (to an extent), but this being a transport ship, I can't help but feel like there's a tiny bit of lost potential. I'm probably not getting this set as there are other sets in the theme that I want more, but I wonder how people (especially kids) who get the set think of it after they've spent some time playing with it nonetheless.

No, the Ghost is too small for minifigures, but this ship should have been way bigger. For comparison, those circles on the sides are supposed to be airlocks.

I’m not business man but Lego shouldn’t make prices before the sets are made they should say instead make the set between 30-50 dollars then 50-100 and so on so things like the undersides of the wings get done and so things like the Atari system where they thrown in tons of extra stuff instead of lowering the price

Bigger is always better, but be careful what you ask for. LEGO can completely stop making sub $100 products and increase the number that are pushed into the 200+ range. It's a have cake *or* eat it situation.

Who thinks that Lego needs to change it set pricing structure. I don’t think the extra 20 pieces to decorate the bottom of the wing would eat into legos billions in profit.
But I also wouldn’t mind paying a tad extra maybe $110-$115 cad for a complete underside. We know it’s possible, since bo katans fighter had decent decoration on the underside of its swing wing.
