    It's weirdly satisfying to hear the spanish accent in a latin speech

      I believe that the spanish accent in Latin gives more magneficiency to Latin and I think it is the most correct way from the orthodox point of view to pronounce Latin. example: many English speakers pronounce tuum = twoom, when in reality it is like pronouncing thoom.

      @vincenzooliva7567 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kosesangon4296 If by "thoom" you mean there should be some sort of aspiration, that's not the case - English speakers should think of "uu" as a double English "oo", i.e. doubling the sound in "book" (unless it's in "quu", which is another story...). By the way, even back in Ancient Rome people had accents, so Seneca (born in Cordoba) would have spoken a bit differently from Augustus (born in Rome) - and we do have literary accounts of this.

      @@vincenzooliva7567 you are correct when you point out that thoom sounds like a single vowel, I was aware of that but for many reasons I did not explain it better. in this case it would be like saying "thooom" if I'm not mistaken. On the other hand, use the word "orthodox" which means the generally acceptable. On the other hand, there are aberrations in the pronunciation of languages that do not tolerate being cataloged as the correct way of pronunciation (eg Professor Wilfred Stroh who in some words exaggerates consonant sounds such as "r", rrrr ...). I still believe that the Spanish ( and italian) accent is the neatest way to pronounce Latin regardless of the tone used.

      @@kosesangon4296 Yes, with your "r" example I see what you mean. And I totally agree.

      briefly, among a few odds and ends she introduces herself as a teacher of Latin in Valencia, Spain, then introduces the next speaker, whose theme is that early German philologists did use Latin as a living language of instruction.

      valde rubre means very red=Internationale
      the verbatim script would be quite laborious tp produce=better direct this request to those in charge of this channel
      I am interested in the speakers fluency level (=high), not in doing the work of one in a UN interpreters' box. If I may ask, what is your interest in all this?

    Latin and greek were international languages in the European, middle east and Asia area, and it was transmitted orally and in writing by tens of thousands of people (monks, businessmen, students, workers etc.), also monks and kings sciencemen servants were writing translation books with words and letter sounds from all the countries the king had affairs with. All the books are kept in monasteries, museums and personal collections.
