@@CaseyFleetMedia have a hold deposit on a 2021 Silverado 2.7 4x4. I get it on the 10th of September. My 1st Chevy and my 1st brand new vehicle. 40k. Coworker got one a few months back. He getting 20mpg in town and vehicle rated for 9300lbs of towing nothing to laugh at
Same situation for me I have a 2021 GMC Sierra with just 500 miles on it and I just HATE the auto start feature. Thanks epa and Obama for this stupid law passed in 2019. it’s on all makes & models of suvs and trucks sold in the United States and Canada. Not only is it an extremely annoying feature it’s bad on the engine because when your engine is off at a red light all the oil drops to the pan and everything has to restart and push all the fluids back up into the block. If you hit the gas too quickly not realizing the engine is starting again it shudders and there’s a momentary lag in power, not good. Does nothing for fuel economy but supposedly cuts emissions. Just be careful removing and reinstalling the trim pieces. Take your time and spend 20 dollars on a trim removal kit. Also note this guy has a Silverado center fold down seat which is easier than the trucks with the integrated center counsel. If you have a truck like that (mine) you have a couple of extra side trim pieces and the cup holder to remove before the radio trim pieces in order to gain access to the auto start controls. Modifying this auto start feature is the Best 100 dollars I’ve spent so far on this truck.
I agree, this piece of sh*t feature GM engineers came up with will only damage your engine in the long run . I live in hot S. Texas weather, engine shutters at start up during complete stops or at Wal Mart parking lots (stop & go). I'm a certified mechanic, and a 2020 silverado owner at 60,000 miles truck has noisy lifters at morning start ups and this is not normal. some one should file suit against General Motors Corp.... Other owners have same issues
The disable button has to be pressed every time you start it. This makes it to where it doesn’t. I never have to think about it. Also when you have aftermarket system you don’t want to forget and your truck turn off then your 3500 watt amp hit and battery die immediately so that your truck won’t start at a red light. 🤦♂️
@@craigdonaldson6308 when you get in the truck everyday multiple times a day. It’s worth it. Plus it’s easy. If you can’t do it bring it to me I’ll let my 6 year old help you. 😂
I bought a brand new 2021 Chevy Silverado with 2 miles on it. I ordered the Auto stop eliminator before even receiving my truck!
That’s so nice
You definitelly saved me from messing up
Hey man that’s good to know… You get it installed?
I have looked everywhere for a video like this. Thank you so much
You are welcome! Thank you for watching and sending me encouragement
Just installed my works like a charm and no more annoying auto stop if you don’t want it on
Yes! I love this thing man!
Thanks for posting this - I also have the 6 passenger and it was hard to find this procedure for that model. It's even easier!
It definitely is easier. Thank you so much for watching and engaging!
That’s a really cool upgrade. Awesome video and install!
Great video....Thanks for posting it. I'm going to get one and install it ASAP.
Thank you for watching man! You will love it!
Thanks for the video knocked it out in 10mins
You’re welcome man!
Great video! Gave me the confidence to do it myself. Thanks!
Thanks man! You can definitely do it
Super easy! In wouldn’t have tried it without the video. Thanks!
Thanks for watching bro! Yes it’s easy and effective!
Just put mine in, thanks for the video was really helpful
You are very much welcome bro
My man👍 I freaking hate that damn thing, thanks brother
You’re welcome! I can’t stand it either
Great vid, used it for something else though. need to remove the bottom plastic piece to install a CB
I gotcha! Yeah my dad loves his CB stuff
Seems like GM wants to sell a tone of new starters in a year or two…I hate this thing also and I have the auto stop AE30
I agree
Good video.
Thanks bro! Thank you for watching man!
Range Technology makes one that plugs right into your OBD2 port and does the same thing....No need to tear apart your dash
That’s cool… I like the auto stop because it’s more of a permanent fix. But I will take a look at that
I have gmc sierra 2022 whats the part number
I think it will work
👍
Does it work with there 2.7t engine also?
It sure does! That’s the engine I have

So basically it gives the button a memory function where it remembers auto stop is off
It’s more so a relay that flips off when the truck is started. But it can be turned back on.
@CaseyFleetMedia thats better! because the feature Is still there if you want to use it..
@@JosephWalker436 exactly right. If you push the button it turns it right back on
GM should have made it be able to be off all the time! GM come on!!
They do make it where you can turn it off with the button. But it comes on everytime you start the truck. This shuts it off when you start the truck.
You're from West Virginia
Tennessee
@@CaseyFleetMedia Same thing. I can hear it
@@wileecoyote5749 that’s awesome bro!
Autostop is the dumbest idea that the car mfg's have come up with yet.

Fck all that not taking the dash apart on a new truck.

No it is horrible to push that stupid button every time. You always forget and it’s when you need to move out in traffic. I’ll pay the 90 bucks
@georgef1176 exactly! That’s how I feel man. Unfortunately it’s not GM that’s doing this. It’s the federal government.
