Just came back to rewatch this after watching Emgo's review of Ocular Max Navigant and I definitely think that figure is the more successful take on Streetwise. Hope you get a chance to check Navigant out.
I wish XTB was a good competitor, but honestly the quality lacks in so many areas. Wishing they had the quality of Fanstoys, but not so much of the price!
The back pack does audibly click into place although it's not really explained in the instructions. I found if I line up the peg at the back at just the right angle and press on the roof of the car (not the rear windshield) and press in and down it will lock with a soft clicking sound. Also the shoulders seem kinda low but that is fixed by pulling out the locking joint (unlocking) on the inner shoulder. It gives another shoulder articulated joint and makes the shoulders look more natural.
I had heard he wasn't great after I'd gotten him. Sat down and decided to give him a go and by the end of the process I'd canceled half a dozen preorders for XTB figures online. I hate this figure and considering I was finally going all in on a xtb figure I thought this might be the start of a new mp company for me. NOPE. The day after I messed with my Fanshobby Goshooter and had so much fun with him I realized that's the experience I want when getting 3P figures.

Thanks for the review…I already have this bot and agree with the review. The shoulders are scary to articulate and the knees are odd. However the Protectobot wars are going to be fun between these companies.

I think this has genuinely put me off considering the XTB Defensor at all and I may go Ocular Max, especially given your love of their Bruticus if I remember rightly?
Thanks for this. I was considering Fuzz, despite some other lukewarm reviews, but I think I’m out now. Waiting for the folks at Zeta to give us a Defensor…..
Ah sorry to hear! Fwiw I do still have strong hopes for the rest of the set but it’s certainly not the strongest start.
@@SixoTF if I'm frank, I wasn't 100% sold on it to begin with, but, at the moment, it's the only option with a 50cm-ish combined mode. If only the Generation Toy set were taller....cuz man, I love the aesthetic of those. Who knows, I still may do XTB... I dunno. Hahah! I'm so damn torn!

The problem with x transbots the toy designers whoever they may be they think so inside the box it's ridiculous I don't think any of them think outside the box I think maybe because they're trying so hard to stay in competition with fast toys and other third party companies that here they are putting out all these prototypes online pictures speak a thousand words it looks great until you actually have the item in your hand then it's a whole different ball game. I mean you got to give it it's pros and it's cons and if it has major cons then you have to stress that issue give the buyer a chance to decide.
I believe if x-transbots were to think more outside the box they would be a very great competitor I mean look at this company Moon studio and their train bots I have the first two and they're fantastic my new x-transbots has been around longer than Moon studios.
This is actually fitting for today because the transformation is pure horror
It's definitely easier going back to robot mode but yeah, it's a fiddly one!

I don't think so... I still have faith and generally I love what XTB do!
the paint and colour they chose for him almost makes him look.. slimy, or dirty in some way. it's rather unpleasant to look at
I actually do like the colour, it's not that far off the original. A little darker maybe.
Wow, this is like old XTransbots, just awful. A sad show for what looked like a rad combiner, can't wait to see the rest though!

More poor hardware an assembled choices from XTB after Kup now this. Time to stay away from them for a good while, had hopes for Springer will stick to Ocular Max.
I haven't had Locke in hand yet but honestly, this feels like a blip to me. Hope so.
