Been waiting for Deathy to get the ol' Sixo treatment! As a crusty old Victory nerd that watched the show (dubbed) back in the day as a wee tyke, this chap's a bloody dream come true
I'm not a big fan of this character (I know nothing about him, lol), but I still love watching these reviews. It let's me play with toys I don't have vicariously!

8:10 Just want to note that you can also pull out the head of the tiger figure. Also, the Alt mode of Deathsaurus has a rather good ab crunch (or ab stretch) articulation.
With the success of Deathsaurus, I really hope that Haslab/Takara Tomy can make the next release of Lio Kaiser in either MPG line or Haslab next project...
Another great review. I was waiting to see your thoughts on the figure and you did not disappoint. I was priced out of the Haslab Unicron figure but so glad to see that price point was not going to be the price going forward for all TF Haslabs. Since then I was able to get both Victory Saber and Deathsaurus and you are spot on when you said these figures just feel special. I am also so glad Deathsaurus does not have those open plastic gaps that Victory Saber had. I have already back Omega Prime. What a time to be a Transformers fan. Thanks again for the review.

Really is a great figure. I have so few issues with it. Just them flaps in kaiju mode that don't cover his legs. Feels like that could have been done easily. Still, everything else is superb. The weapon storage on the throne is so good to see and Pipo and Boater are absurdly better than the ones that came with Victory Saber. Good to see a new review from you to!
I don't care how old the figure is, you talking about Takara Masterpiece could entertain me endlessly. Somehow as a nine year old, I had MP-5! Super nostalgic for me and I'd love to hear you talk about it because I know you also have a soft spot for that overly hated toy. Maybe bring some facts to light to make the public hate it a bit less lol

still hoping maybe we get a mass retail version of Star Saber and Deathsaurus, possibly using the Metalhawk and the grimlock mold respectfully (i really think that grimlock would do wonders for a deathsaurus, even if this figure is better, not everyone has 400 dollars to spend on an amazing character like DS), also given the hints of the new titan, i hope the next Titan is actually a box set of Star saber and deathsaurus for mass retail
Mark my words that retool of grimlock will show up again in the mainline. I notice Hasbro never lets actual finished design work go to waste especially when it’s a way of retooling an already existing mold. This is also too popular of a character not to sell at a lesser price point down the road
Another small gimmick i discovered, which is you can detach the lower tip of both wings, and held it onto the Robot's palm as boomerang weapon, which appeared like, once or twice in the anime
I have him, but am very disappointed I missed out on the Victory Saber Haslab. I just wasn't around for it. Were these not so artifically-limited, I would gladly buy one right now, but I refuse to overspend on outrageous ebay listings. Hasbro/Takara ALREADY have all the molds produced, what in the world is stopping them from, just, producing more...?
How good is this set? Well, we haven't heard a peep out of DNA Designs or any other upgrade kit makers for it :) Btw your lighting seems to make the white parts look almost beige and gave me a scare of yellowing, until I saw the comparison shot with Star Saber.
Im SO annoyed i didn't have enough income to back it when he was first revealed, because he looks SO COOL! EDIT: Watched a bit into the video and i gotta say, i wouldn't mind that retool of 86 Grimlock for a, well.. more affordable version
A true Masterpiece, for the fidelity of the victory serie, all the accessories, and the plastic quality.. It's a shame for StarSaber, because the plastic quality of StarSaber is low.
I am calling it now that the next HASLAB will be RID 2001 Megatron or, more likely, Gavatron with all 10 modes. They need to take advantage of completing sets of enemies/rivals.
@@SixoTF True. I don't think they'll do a Primus either. I think after the initial excitement settled down, the overall sentiment for Unicron was too mixed for them to feel secure in doing him. Though he would make a good option for 2026, the 40th anniversary of the movie...
In this case though, it's not only become the 'accepted' Westernised version of the name, it's been made official - that's even how it's printed on the box for this figure

Seems likely at some point and in some format.
I feel like a retail release of Lio Kaiser might be more likely at this point given how well Star Saber and Deathsaurus did.
They are now known as the chest force now because Hasbro decided to change the name for good reason

Maybe... but I don't know that they will always do things in 'sets', which is why I'm less sure on them ever doing a comparable Primus
