As a young 20 ish newlywed, I was very petite; only 82 pounds. One guy I worked with was an aggressive, arrogant idiot who picked on me a lot. One day, in front of everyone, including the boss and customers, he picked me up and threw me in a trash can. I stewed on it for weeks, feeling helpless. One day, I noticed he didn't lock his car up. It was a hot summer day. He drove an expensive sports car. I snuck to a store, bought some raw eggs and cracked a couple in his dashboard. He tried everything to get rid of that awful smell, then tried in vain to sell it.

Good one , I've heard of similar things. The best was fish guys under the seats of his car. It baked in there all summer day , it soaked in to the metal.

I have snuck a fish into a dark coloured mailbox on a hot 3 days weekend, as a prank. But that was in my uni days. I’m MUCH more grown up, now! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lol. I had an asshat for a boss too. Thankfully he never threw me in the trash (I'm so sorry he did that to you) but he did follow me around and harass me a lot. He liked leaving his truck windows down in summer. Lets just say the black grackles (type of bird here) really enjoyed those Whataburger fries that got thrown into his truck. They even left him a very 💩💩💩present.

I loved your first act of revenge! Classically perfect.

    • @mrsklemzak
      @mrsklemzak 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

This is an extreme story of revenge. I doubt most people would actually kill all 3-4 conspirators. Time would usually get them to cool off, and work things out.
I liked your second story of getting revenge. Although, I'd call that more like justice, than revenge. Glad it worked out with Carl and you. We rarely know the whole story of everything, just what others WANT us to think. It could almost be made into a comedy!
As for a personal story of revenge, I can't really think of anything. I usually cool off after awhile. Or talk to someone about it, and the consensus usually is "Never mind, let it go, move on. Its more trouble than its worth."
The French guy did it to the EXTREME!

    • @AmericanAmy
      @AmericanAmy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

Your first story of revenge was funny and understandable because you were a child. The second one was righting a wrong! I am so glad you found out the truth and was able to vindicate Carl!!! I have used revenge a few times but I usually let Karma do it for me. I have a story where someone wronged me in a big way. My friends encouraged me to take revenge but I knew in my heart that neither God nor Karma would let this person get away with what she done to me. I was right!!!

One neighbor had a boyfriend who would park his car directly behind mine. I was a volunteer Firefighter- I couldn't have my car blocked in MY driveway. Calling my neighbor did no good- calling the cops only resulted in him getting a ticket. Where I lived, I could have had him towed, but it would have been at my expense. One night, in the dark, I got fed up and put a heafy blanket on my truck's bumper and moved his little car into the middle of the street. I put my truck back in the driveway, took the blanket inside and called the cops about a car parked in the middle of the street. the moron was inside with his girlfriend, passed out. I heard and enjoyed his ranting and raving the next morning when his car was "gone" and the cops wanted to talk to him about parking "in the street." It was even funnier when he told the cops he didn't answer the door when they knocked because he was passed out.

A little revenge: I am a painter and years ago i did some extra work in the evenings and in the weekends, but one day after i finished a "off the record job" , i called the owner and said i am ready, with the job i want my money, he replied i dont know you and you get nothing, and ended the conversation, after a few days i called again and straight away he refused too pay. So i bought a big tin of paint remover and a very big brush and "painted" his whole house, the day after there was no paint left on his house which looked freshly painted b4, never heard of him again lol

When my mother was sixteen, her mother passed. My mother was inconsolable, and nothing could bring her out of her grief. This went on for several months, and one nite when she was in bed, she detected a brightness in her room. When she opened her eyes, there was a glowing light up near the ceiling of her room, and she knew this was her mother, and the feeling that my mother received was that her mother was at peace, and that my mother needed to let go, and go on with her life, not to remain locked in grief.
My mother told me that this soothing light appeared for three nites in a row, and then never appeared again. My mother was sure that this had been the spirit of her mother, and after the three visits my mother found her grief was lessening, and she was able to heal.
Loved your revenge stories. I had a friend who would fill out magazine subscriptions in the name and address of people who had 'done her wrong', and then laugh her butt off when they started getting all sorts of magazines and books, and then bills for all of the subscriptions. She especially enjoyed listening to them complaining about how difficult it was to try and cancel the subscriptions. We had a disagreement once, and I told her I'd better not get any magazines in the mail, two can play at that game!

I have a similar "Nair" revenge story
My husband tried to grow a beard, and while I'm not against beards as a rule, his was horrific. It was patchy and really looked horrid. I asked him to please shave it, and he refused. It really made him look sad and a little crazed. I asked him over and over to shave it and truly I think he was keeping it just to see what I would do. I waited until he went to sleep, and I took a can of nair and put it all over his beard
the next morning, when he took his shower, most of his beard came off, some of his skin was a little red after, and he ended up shaving the rest off.

I don’t know how I didn’t manage to see this narrated version. My heart went to Carl! I can’t handle injustice of any kind especially if I could help. Proud of you dear friend!
Revenge isn’t something I blot but I think my revenge is in the hands of fate! One of my favorite is when my coworker was blotting against me since day one as we share management position. Four years later his bad habits caught to him and people started to see him as who he is. His narcissistic nature got him as he was never kind to anyone. Even what appeared as his act of kindness was filled like a can of worms.
I got my revenge when people saw the real him and I kept my peace. I don’t confront often and as I am a medical scientist / now a research scientist, my aim is to help patients and serve the greater good. Leaving the job or letting him be was not good for the work as he lacked morals! He was actually charming and smart but he used all his skills for no good.
From my childhood; I don’t recall any lol. My sister was the mischievous and she often will remind me of the times she fooled me! I was always the person who doesn’t fall for actions; not my nature. I would talk and young me would cry and try to be heard lol. I was an old soul since I was a child and it was a nightmare because I knew certain things are no good and are bad so I would suffer in my position. Lol

A revenge story, huh? Well, it's not much, but during my first semester of college, I had a roommate who was absolute hell to live with. Lets call her "Pants." There were a lot of things Pants did to piss me off in the three months we lived together, but for the sake of simplicity, I'll just share what's relevant to the story.
I brought my personal printer with me to college, and told her and our other roommates that they could use it as long as they ask first and print no more than five pages at a time. Reasonable enough, right? Well, Pants was an entitled brat, and I'd frequently come home to her printing 20+ pages without even asking. Whenever I confronted her about this, she'd get all pissy and call me uptight. Yep, she called me uptight for wanting the rules I set for using MY printer to be followed.
I should mention that this was not a wireless printer. You had to physically connect your computer to it in order to print anything. When I finally had enough of her using up all my ink and paper, I took the cable that connects the printer to the computer with me when I went home for the weekend.... in the next state over.
Yeah, not the most exciting story, but it still felt good when she texted me later asking where the cable was.

    • @ObsoleteOddity
      @ObsoleteOddity  7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

Wonderful wonderful wonderful story! I knew I had heard the basics of that story before and it was because I had read The Count of Monte Cristo. The photos paintings images and sounds superbly went along with the story. I was having a terrible day and when I checked my phone in the afternoon and saw that you had uploaded. I smiled and couldn't wait to turn it on. I loved the Oddie blah blah and your stories of Revenge. When I was much much younger still in school, not yet High School, I helped two of my male friends get back at a neighbor and all I can say is that involved poo too. Absolutely my Supernatural story can be part of a TH-cam video. By popular demand a long story. It was Christmas, 1978 and I was sharing a house with my girlfriend on the NE side of Fort Lauderdale, FL, just north of Oakland Park Blvd. My girl was in college and I was, well, enjoying the life of south Florida from a midwestern boy’s perspective while working retail. She had flown back to the Midwest to visit family for the Holidays and I was in search of a very special Christmas gift for her upon her return. One of my co-workers, knowing my girl was a musician, offered me a FREE upright, player piano. All I had to do was move it out of his house. (I should have suspected something!) At this point, all of the player components had been removed long ago and it needed a little tuning, but the price was right so I jumped at the chance. It was also painted a hideous shade of green, kind of like a green faux woodgrain. So, I arranged with one of my frequent customers to let me use his pickup truck, as well as his assistance. We headed over to my co-worker’s house, loaded it up and took it to my house where we situated it in the living room very nicely.
I then went out and bought a Christmas tree and decorations. Upon returning home I proceeded to “deck the halls” with Christmas cheer awaiting her return. I placed a large ribbon around the piano and a huge bow on the front, as well as a very romantic note. A few days later, I picked her up at Ft. Lauderdale airport and drove her back to our home. I was anxious to see what her response would be upon seeing the piano for the first time, but was confident that she would love it and be very appreciative of my efforts. Upon entering the house and seeing the piano it was obvious that I had done very well indeed. She had tears in her eyes and all was right with the world!
Well, all was quiet for a few nights, but, then one night she woke me up asking if I had heard the piano playing. As I had been asleep, I assured her that I had not and that she had probably just had a dream about it. But, a couple of nights later I, also, heard the piano play a few notes. Not just one note but five, maybe six notes. As I didn’t want to frighten her, I didn’t awaken her, nor did I mention it the next morning.
A week or so later, she woke me in a very agitated state asking, “Can you see him?” I asked her who? She said the man in the bedroom doorway. I saw nothing and told her so. I asked what he looked like and she described him as a slight man in a white suit and Panama hat. I still saw nothing and she then said he just disappeared. In an effort to reassure her, and myself, I got out of bed and checked out the house. There were no intruders and the doors were all securely bolted from the inside.
Over the next couple of nights, we had reoccurrences of the piano playing which we both heard. Then came the night that I awoke and saw “him” standing in the bedroom doorway. He was tall, thin, slight beard and wearing a white suit and Panama hat. And then he just disappeared. Poof! Again, I did not wake her, nor did I relate to her the events of the night the next morning.
The following day, I explained the situation to my co-worker, who had gifted us the piano. His wife was also there as it was closing time and she came to pick him up. They looked at one another in a strange way and then, his wife proceeded to relate the story to me, as best she knew it. They said that they had gotten the piano “gifted” to them as well. It seems that they had also had the same strange occurrences when the piano was in their home. They had been told that, it the piano, had originally been in an old bar in the Florida Keys in the early years of Florida’s development and that the bar had been destroyed in a horrible hurricane. In those days evacuating the Keys would have not have been possible since they had little forewarning of hurricanes and transportation off the Keys wasn’t what it is today. It was said that the piano player continued to play the piano throughout the hurricane in an attempt to keep those who were still at the bar calm. The story goes that he played until the bar was destroyed by the wind and water. All that was left of the bar was the tattered remnants of the bar, and that lone piano sitting straight up in the ruins.
Well, that’s all this writer knows about it. The “Piano Man” never appeared to either of us as a threat and we just agreed that he was welcome in the house. We moved out that March and left the piano in the house for the next occupant. Later I was told by the landlord that the new occupants moved the piano out of the house shortly after moving in. I can only assume the “gifted” it to someone else.

My act of revenge was really recent. My ex husband had not paid child support in 9 yrs. Hasn't bought birthday or Christmas gifts for his kids in many years. He has had a long time girlfriend since 2007. He made the mistake of telling me that he cheated on her. Well recently I got tired of being his doormat and not helping with the kids. So i told his girlfriend what he did. So let's just say. He is experiencing some of the pain now. That I've had to deal with for years. Taking care of kids on my own. Moral of this story is. You don't tell the woman that you owe thousands of dollars too. That you spend so much money on your girlfriend. And you certainly don't tell her your secrets.

ObsoleteOddity oh yes she knows. She is the reason he stopped taking care of the kids. What she says, goes with him. They are both evil in my book. You don't put anyone ahead of taking care of your kids. I'm not in great health but i work everyday to take care of them. He makes double what i do. And blows it on her. I've tried filling for support with the courts here. But they said it could take a year. That they are backed up with cases

I had two good friends freshman year of college - one fell in with some not so nice girls though, and I spent less time around them all for awhile.
We were all in a big lecture class together and time came for a big mid term exam. I was seated away from them. The format of the test required the lights down and viewing slides up front. While looking up at a slide, I saw movement from the corner of my eye.
The not so nice girls were copying off my other friend, and their hair was swaying back and forth as their eyes moved from her paper to theirs. She was so deeply concentrating she didn't see them, but I did.
Come scoring time, the whole group got called in for cheating. I ultimately had to testify against one friend in honor court in order to clear the other friend. It was difficult, but the right thing to do.
Both girls ended up a semester behind me (one was suspended a term) so I didn't have classes with them again and we drifted apart.
As it happens, I lost touch with the "honest" girl years ago but still know the other one. She went on to become very successful and even a guest in my class from when I later taught in the same department. Funny how life works sometimes.

Sadly in life there has been too many times young and older that have consumed me with the desire to exact revenge. The pain leading me into sleepless nights. My first encounter with this 'other me' was when the school bully was robbing me of feeling safe. I remember very clearly the worst thing I could think of doing to her was to hit her over the head with a large empty plastic Coca-Cola bottle. I didn't do it and have never taken revenge, as far as I can recall. Today I tell myself 'When taking revenge, remember to dig two graves'. The 'revenge' you took on your supervisor was different as that involved integrity and a piece of knowledge that you shared purposefully for justice. I like to think I would do the same. Love the videos, huge thanks.

One of the things that add depth to the storytelling are the integration of the animation you include in your videos; like the one scene where the hero of the story and the priest were seen together in the prison cell and you included the small rat moving around in the foreground. It always adds a nice touch to each video.

I'm not big on revenge, but I've taken it a couple of times, at least.
The two times I can really remember are when I saw someone getting bullied who couldn't stand up for herself, and the other was in an online multiplayer RPG game.
The girl getting bullied was in my math class in middle school, 6th grade. I was the kind of person who'd grown tall and skinny faster than most other kids (Dad was 6'5"), and was a tomboy who wore a lot of black and kept to herself. Basically I was the "scary loner" type who was inherently intimidating to other kids that age, even though I wasn't aiming for that. The girl getting bullied was basically my polar opposite: Very short, very shy, and a "nerd" by that she wore a lot of video game oriented things like t-shirts or wristbands. This specific instance, I was sitting in the row of desks behind hers. The teacher had their back turned, and as I'm boredly looking around the room, I see these two boys throw a battery at shy girls' head. It landed and they were the obvious culprits by that they immediately burst into giggles like it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.
I didn't find it funny. I got pissed. I got up, went over to them and loomed, telling them quietly but very seriously that they'd better not pull that shit again, and that if they didn't leave shy girl alone, they'd be sorry.
As annoying bratty boys go, they responded as expected, with an uncertain/nervous denial (Lying, horribly) of their transgression and immediately resuming throwing other things at shy girl as soon as they thought I wasn't paying attention.
This of course, got my blood boiling, so immediately after class, I tapped the shy girls shoulder, told her I'd seen what had happened and that we were going to the principal about it. She wasn't sure that anything would come of it, but I knew something definitely would, being as I'd had two older brothers go through that school so virtually every teacher/staff member knew me second hand and what kind of behavior to expect from my family.
We go to the principal, we sit down and tell her about it. We're excused back to class afterward, and I immediately have the pleasure of seeing the two boys responsible getting pulled out. I learned later that they'd both been slapped with referrals and sent home to face their parents' wrath (This was before believing a lying shit child was more popular than believing a school staff member). They never bothered her again after that, and she and I ended up becoming good friends.
The second instance was in a MMO that allowed for open player-vs-player combat. I typically avoid that kind of game, but there were few other options for me at that time. I tried to keep to myself, deliberately picking a spot far far away from anyone else to do my gaming. A few minutes after settling in, Jerk McJerkface comes along. Jerk McJerkface is a high level, fully decked out character. Mine are relatively new, so... I didn't stand a chance. He comes along, immediately kills me, and takes over my spot. He's clearly doing this because it amuses him to bother random people who can't stand up to him themselves and have no friends to call for help. There were many other places he could've taken without having to displace anyone. I wasn't willing to risk the kind of ridicule people face on those kinds of games, if they complain openly about it. He sets up shop right where I'd been, leaving his character on idle to attack on its own while he left the computer for a bot (Or in nerd terms: AFK botted).
But we're in a relatively advanced area of the map, and I notice he's casting area of effect skills, damaging multiple targets at a time. So, I get an idea. Any other gamer would know it as "griefing", but it's the act of intentionally luring monsters or supporting monsters while other players battle them. I ran around the map, gathering as many monsters as I could get to follow me back to the guy, careful not to let my collection get too close, or I'd be the pancake. Once I had a suitable army behind me, I ran at him. I got the first hit off on him before his AoE sounded and all the monsters shifted their attention off of me and onto him, killing him near instantly with their collective damage.
I got credited with the kill because I hit him before the monsters did. I typed a passive-aggressive smiley into the chat above his corpse, and then fled before he could come back. He private messaged me later, asking how many times it took me to kill him, and I said, "Just one".

Ooh. Great story. I like the avatar. It is barely noticeable during the video. Excellent storytelling, Oddie! I have plotted revenge on a person who brought great pain to my family. I hold her responsible for the death of my 3 yr old grandson. I did not simply want to do away with this woman, I wanted her to feel the pain I was feeling. After seeing the movie Hannibal Rising I began to fantasize about various forms of torture. I went into psychiatric hospital when I felt like I might act on any of them. This was several years ago and I know I would never do those things. It just goes to show how dark a regular, kind person's mind can get when they are hurt beyond belief!

I love this, especially your stories, the second one is my favorite, yet I don't know if I would call it revenge but more as a justice since you did the right thing standing up for that poor fellow and let everyone know who was the real culprit.
That was a really great thing you did for him, and I'm certain he appreciated you and your friendship. Thank you so much for sharing! I had a bad bf once that had caused me some real hell and worse he stalked me and my family looking for me. And awhile after I left him, I couldn't deal with it anymore what I was suffering just to really be free from him. After moving twice, changing jobs he found me out again following me after visiting family on the holidays. I was tired of feeling afraid to go anywhere that I enjoyed and fed up with how he seemed to avoid getting caught violating the restraining order. So I convinced him to try to date this dominant woman who was an acquaintance of mine, who after I helped get a job in my company, she spread some false rumors about me trying to get my position but she did not succeed but it bothered me as the thanks I got for helping her. She had a reputation of having a mean streak who was also wealthy and he knew her because he tried to cheat on me with her when we were together, and gloated how he would charm her and take all her money, as I wished n prayed this feisty woman who used to be in the military would teach him a lesson he needed. They ended up marrying and when she realized what kind of bum he was, not only did she kick his butt back when he hit her but she left him and kept all her money and the best part was she put all her troubles with him on social media for everyone to know and other females came forward to share some of their own troubles from him and what a few did to get even from his abuse was all entertaining me with satisfaction finally. I was happy to publicly read how she also put him in jail for domestic violence, property damage and aggravated stalking a few times and the last time he did a over a year of prison for it. This reaffirmed my faith in Karma

Love the revenge stories Oddie. Sometimes the line between revenge and justice is very thin and while we should probably aim to rise above revenge, I think your workplace actions fall more in the justice category. I have a story I may share if I can find a way to tell it without giving myself away. At the time the dog was blamed and was not punished, so I really didn't feel guilty.

Wow, that was pretty vicious revenge, but I've never been beaten and drilled for hours and stuck in some tomb to die. Yikes. I knew it was The Count of Monte Christo, as soon as you mentioned the older man. I think I like Robert Donat's rendition the best. But then I am a great admirer of Donat's talent.
Oh, my revenge story. We had a b*****d for Grammar. So my mates and I hatched a plan. A fish behind the radiator over the long holiday weekend. My father helped me catch it, I told him it was for a biology experiment. Friday came, I had the fish, and we were ready to go. The rotter locked his door! We were looking at each other as if asking the same question; "What are we going to do with the fish?" Study Hall was next and we had it up in the balcony of the assembly hall. I took the fish in the paper sack and threw it through the projector room window. When we came back to school after the holiday weekend, we were informed by the Principal that study hall will no longer be held in the balcony until the assembly hall had been aired out. Scuttlebug was that someone had forgotten a biology experiment up there......LMAO Peace out. PS If you would like to use it you have my permission. I go by Ma online Blessings.

I was laughing really hard when you told that first story, the second was pretty funny too, and had a great twist. I've worked for a lot of different types of people but with a boss like that there's always a scapegoat. Shame on that "supervisor" at least Carl got a genuine friend out that ordeal.
    My Short Revenge Story:
So the other day I take my son, and myself to go get our hair trimmed. (He's going back to school) Afterwards I had to meet up with a friend at a place I used to work at. My old boss was really, really, cruel like she would take me in the back and verbally berate me for just little piddly, stupid, things and she was all the time using me (or whoever was there when I wasn't) as her emotional scapegoat, (I think she was supposed to take hormones and didn't and just turned into a giant raging, you know what) Anyways... so we pull up to the place where I used to work, to meet my friend and in passing I tell my 11yr old son "whenever I come here I want to vomit my own intestines onto the floor" my nerves get shot & it just tears my stomach up even walking in this building. My and my son, walk inside, and my son walks straight up to my friend and as loud as he can tells her that "this place makes his mother want to vomit her own intestines on the floor..." and then walks back outside to play with a chicken in the yard. So that happened, and I didn't really take any kind of revenge but my son kind of did it for me, and I thought that was funny. Just for future reference, your kids are listening. They will repeat.

This took place in 1998.Im not one for revenge, but this particular incident i couldnt let slide.I was the unfortunate person picked to be the assistant to a manager at a department store .I had no say in the matter. He lied and blamed everything he did wrong on others..One day i could hear him being chewed out by the store manager. He then blamed everything on me.Thankfully, the store manager didnt believe him,but i was sick of his actions.I bought something called Buck Lure it is what hunters use to attract deer.It is the most ghastly smell. It doesnt go away for a very long time.It is basically deer urine. On his day off,i took the bottle and poured it all over his office, his chair, his desk, even in his spare shoes. When he came back,he was livid and could not stay in his office without gagging. He was told there was no other office available ,so for months he had to work out of a type of closet .He glared at me every day, gosh i enjoyed it.

The scariest one I know is one that happened last year to my girlfriend. Her ex husband passed away last year. He died in his recliner in his living room an a week later a woman from a veterans group came by and could smell him through the door an called the police. The scary part was during the week my girlfriend had things going on in her house like the fridge door opening an closing by itself and I mean like somebody was mad. Lights turned off an on an it quite when he was found. Her ex sister in law called to tell her. Hugs.

I like you oddie lol, I like to listen to your stories. Don’t take it wrong but it reminds me of listening to my grandfather who I miss quite often. He had a great sense of humor but he too was a wealth of information, great stories. I hadn’t thought about it but with all the crime stories and creepy stories, there are tons that could be brought from the past. The turn of the century has always given me a feeling like fear and dread but I’m not sure why. Maybe an unfortunate past life, I don’t know, but I love the stories. After awhile I’m starting to have already heard a lot of the more modern stories. These old ones are absolutely fascinating, can’t get enough. Like that poor girl who was locked away by her mother, what a transformation, she’d been so beautiful. And the girl whose bf drowned her, ugh that guy.. I love what you do! Please keep doing it! Maybe someday I will figure out why I see the late 1700s on up to the turn of the century as such a creepy, filthy, terrifying world lol

"Battleship on legs" 😂🤣👌 Coffee out the nose!! I enjoy stories of the underdog prevailing. He was correct in his theory of not telling anyone.. One shouldn't have to be forced to explain themselves - especially in a toxic, rumor mill type of environment. 1. No one would believe him 2. The truth always reveals itself whether others want to acknowledge it or not. Due to ego, many thrive in the drama. They need drama like they need oxygen - remain quiet and take their breath away. As always, Oddy, you are a stand up gentleman! WELL DONE! *standing ovation*

I took my revenge on my boss this Christmas season. You have to understand for 3.5 years I've been one of the best employees at the theater where I worked. I took pride in that I did not lie, and I handled more than my fair share of work. I was pulling the hours that management had without the pay raise because most of the staff had left during a remodel.
That being said when I requested Christmas off this year 3 months in advance I thought there would be no problem. However my boss informed me 2 weeks before that he wanted me to work when I was supposed to be visiting my fiancé’s family, all the while playing a stupid mobile game on his phone. He hadn't the decency to look me in the eye. Mind you this is a man in his late 30s. Instead of getting worked up I let it rest and discussed it with my mom. She said if he scheduled me that day she wasn’t going to take me to work, plain and simple. She needed help during the early part of Christmas as she uses a wheelchair and can’t do everything around the house without assistance.
After the shift I pulled my boss aside and told him what my mom said, and the pedantic bastard had the nerve to accuse me of giving him and ultimatum. To this I took great offence because I am always up front with things. If I were going to be that way I would say, “Give me what I want or I quit.”
Still he insisted. If he wanted to play stupid games he was going to win stupid prizes.
I said to him, “If you’re going to be that way then you can just have this back”, as I threw my badge at him and left for the last time.
He ran outside to try and convince me to come back and “Talk about it like adults”. By that he meant he wanted to demean me while he played on his phone still.
I told him that I just didn’t owe him jack squat if he was going to accuse me of dirty tactics and disrespect me. For years this man has ignored my words by playing with his phone while I’m trying to talk to him all the while he keeps asking why nobody comes to him with problems. He also snaps at people often for no reason. Once he yelled at me for not knowing how to do something he was never arsed with teaching me how to do in the first place. The customers I was serving were standing right there and the husband chewed him out in the hallway for 20 minutes straight.
I wished him a good time in Christmas hell without his best employee. Instead of 1 day unavailable he was going to have to find people to cover 120 hours’ worth of time all because he couldn’t give me the one thing I asked for months in advance. Hell he had time enough to hire on another kid to take my place that day with all that warning yet he still blamed me. Stupid man.

Good on you - that was a just revenge...maybe your idiot boss had less time to play on his phone over Christmas.
I did the same thing as you did many years back - I was one of their best workers at a small company, but they were so stingy with the employees that I waited until they had a huge order come in, and just before all hell broke loose... i announced to the boss while on my coffee break that I was going to take a trip to the mountains after I'd finished my brew. He looked at me and laughed...I watched his face drop & change to astonishment when I strolled out the door and waved my farewells to everyone. What sweet feeling. lol
