I agree. Most that act like Farr here usually couldn't become a cop, so they took whatever power they could. You know if he was a cop, he would have probably killed someone by now. At the very least, he would have violated rights and cost tax payers tens of thousands of dollars if not more, in lawsuits.
An actual LEO standing up for a citizens rights, and aiding in that effort. Literally something I never thought to see. This officer, Michael, needs to be applauded, and should be THE standard to which all LEO's should be taught.
I've actually seen a security guard try to "arrest" an on duty cop once. The security guard thought he was the supreme authority of the building and that all constitutional rights and protections ended when you stepped through the doors.
I've never seen a Leo treat anyone improperly in person. But I can believe it happens. I just feel the advent of TH-cam and other clip sites have likely made the instances of it happening seem more common. There are after all a LARGE number of officers interactions a year, so even a minority of bad interactions can seem like a large number, especially since it's all recorded and posted now.
@@KillerTurnus It's the 80/10/10 rule. 80% of interactions are just meh, 10% are justified but got out of control and 10% are the cops abusing the citizen in various forms. All that is shown are the later 10%.
It goes like this with all large organizations. Plenty of good apples can be overlooked by a handful of rotten apples on the same tree. Find a bunch of rotten apples before finding a single good one and you may avoid harvesting the tree altogether thinking it a waste of time. Pure example: I work for terminix as a pest technician. I hear negative comments about the company from people here and there because of a couple previous employees actions from a branch that has dozens of technicians. Does that make the entire company bad?
The entire exchange between Officer Michael and the auditor made my eyes watery. They were MUCH MORE than professional. They were FRIENDLY! This should be the rule, not the exception. I have been fortunate enough to have experienced (brief glimpses) this a few times as a Community Police Advisory Board member in San Francisco. It can be a "game changer."
Michael, the FPS officer should be promoted as fast as possible; he is a credit to law enforcement and is a great example for others to follow. This is truly, one of the best audits I have ever seen.
It’s true. Unfortunately you lose him on the Ground in the same manner. Which is a shame. He’s an excellent person to have interacting with the public.
In the previous meeting where he met Michael originally, he or 1414 (can’t remember which) said they don’t share their last names, just first name or badge number. More impressive is that Gandalf has an eidetic memory and can remember all that! I have a good memory but NOT for numbers.
Officer Michael deserves an S+, that was hands down the BEST interaction I have ever seen in hundreds of hours of audit’s. A true man to his oath and I wish nothing but the absolute best for him
the only officers i've seen come close are from the video "Pulled Over With A GUN On His Chest!", would recommend if you want some dose of faith in humanity
This is a fever dream of an audit! Seeing a police officer perform his duties in this manner is impressive to say the least. Michael, thank you for upholding your oath and for standing up to tyranny!!!
Now that is an auditor, polite, and treating cops with respect. This is what a A+ should look like, for both sides. And, since he was polite, the cop Michael and polite back. Perfect!
When officer Michael tells Farr to leave his post and curtail his erratic conduct is probably thee best informed police/citizen backing EVER caught on camera! This is the best video ever
I've watched it three times already today. Just incredible. Officer Michael is from the America I want to live in, he's keeping the dream alive. Imagine how wonderful and free a country this would be if he was the norm.
As a retired 35 year police officer from a major department with 20+ years as a supervisor, these two police officers displayed exceptional and outstanding professionalism and decision-making. These two officers should be commended for their contact with this citizen and the security guard involved.
@@bubbaluvvthe problem is that police today worry about their own safety more than public safety and this is why so many “accidents” when innocent people die or get injured by police who swear to protect PUBLIC more than them self. Officer Michael… You are EXACTLY what this country needs pertaining to law enforcement. The way you stood up for the auditor and made sure he was access the areas permitted. I wish we had more officers to stand up and do the right thing. Bravo sir!
@@unbreachableclanclashofcla2130not necessarily true, don’t know if you know this but former security officers make up half of the fbi. When you work your way up through the security ladder your last step is to graduate to the f.b.i oddly enough lol

I hope the officer sees this, and sees how many people respect him for treating the public like human beings and not allowing our rights to be violated. This is a real man and a officer that citizens can be proud of.
@cypeman8037 Yes, we should expect it. Discourage bad behavior through punishment. Encourage good behavior through praise and reward. I want other cops to see how a good cop is praised so that they want the same.
As another commenter said before me: This guy screams former military Non-Commissioned Officer. If he wasn't he should have been lol. But he absolutely never flexed, was always calm and impartial (even-so-far-as not being overly friendly with the auditor when he tried to establish report). When he did appropriately use his authority, it was calm, measured, and controlled as well. He never said "hey, I outrank you, IM the POLICE." He simply corrected the security officer repeatedly until he got too escalated, and then he told him clearly (as both a lawful order and a personal favor to that guy's career) "you need to leave before something stupid happens, because you're out of line," and never in a way that was directly humiliating or aggressive. Truly a masterclass.
Officer Michael is an S+ tier Sir, if we had even 50% of officers like him, that are actually willing to stand up and not just be silent, it would be a huge change in how this country is operated
Hey, Officer Michael, you sir are a great example of a great law abiding and backing officer who treats citizens fair and within their rights. Thank you for your service, officer.
The fact that the security said "Only because you have these guys (police) here" implies waaaaaaaaay too much about what would of happened if they weren't. He needs some serious "education" about the boundries of his position to avoid legal issues.
Ironic - only reason they are there are (1) you called them num nutz and (2) they are your "superiors/supervisors" so to speak. Michaels even pointed out Fart was jeopardizing his job PLUS the security company's contract.
The fact that he felt it was right to even say it out loud is beyond appalling just how misguided and/or malicious can one get in a position like this before it gets noticed.
Office Michael is truly an S tier officer. He used his authority in the right direction and never abused it. This is the perfect example of knowing and using the powers granted to him in a proper and productive way. My hat is off to both of these officers.
Officer 1523 (or Michael) is obviously the exact type of officer that the US requires. Firm, courteous, polite, respectful, & above all his understanding of the law & what it allows or doesn't. Damm, can you Imagine a whole group just like him... seriously impressed.
Me neither! This is worth watching again. Very refreshing. I mean look at the comment section, it says everything!! None of us have seen such exemplary police actions.
This was genuinely the most heartwarming police encounter I’ve seen in years. Isn’t this what we stand for? Two people with different opinions protecting eachothers rights. Truly amazing interaction.
Yeah, that’s the beautiful thing about freedom of expression. Things get real nasty when we build echo-chambers of people who think the same. For example: a lot of police departments.
That Michael guy is awesome. He already knew what the deal was with the auditor. He remained calm, didn’t violent any rights, and even corrected the contractor that tried to abuse his non-existent authority. Very impressive stuff here.
That is the best audit I have seen. The cops were awesome, and I’m sure there are hundreds of thousands of the quality of this one. I don’t think I’ve met a good security guard yet.
Officer Michael handled that "Rent-A-Cop" like a BIG BOSS MAN! After serving 20 years in the military, it does my heart good to see one of the younger generation adhere to the laws/rights, that me and my brothers and sisters in arms serve every day, to uphold and guarantee.
Given the number of domestic enemies of the Constitution I see in both police and military uniforms in these sorts of videos, seeing a cop who does uphold the law, his duty and his oath is very refreshing. It's just a shame that it's so rare in these sorts of videos that it's actually surprising.
I am a district chief going on 30 years in the fire service so I deal with LEOs on scene often. I’ve met great LEOs and bad ones as well. I can say these two officers and especially Michael I believe was exceptional. They knew their jobs and the rights of the auditor. Too many of these videos show bad police work and it’s great to see honorable cops. Well done!
Wish we had more like him to set a higher standard nationwide, sadly dimwitted and overzealous are better descriptors of most officers. They are what they tolerate from their coworkers and superiors; if they follow bad policies or directions from superiors and don't speak up against bad cops, they are bad cops. They certainly can't be good cops if they do nothing about bad policies or corruption. They want my respect, they earn like Officer Michael just did. Too many of them are too high on their little bit of power to care whether or not they have our respect, and that's what makes them unworthy of it. They are victims of nothing more than the consequences of their actions... There isn't a war on cops, there is a war on bad cops, so it seems like there is a war on all cops.
That is a great example of what a fair public audit/auditor is: auditing for the purpose of informing the public and public servants. Not for the purpose of clickbait and taunting. Well done! And thank you.
Farr being told to "Do rounds, or to go the loading bay" was possibly the biggest, but most polite, smackdown I have heard for a while. Great to see an auditor and cop having such a good interaction. I do not always agree with what the auditors do, but it is nice to see conversation rather than confrontation.
@@Minotaur-ey2lg Why do you assume he's a bully? For all we know, Farr is doing exactly what he's been instructed to do. What would you do if some random weirdo showed up at your place of work and told you (and not in a polite way either) that you were doing your job wrong? The fact that he did follow Officer Michael's advice of leaving maybe should tell you that he's not the guy you make him out to be. His behavior could be explained in a myriad of ways (like that he's been instructed to process visitors the way he did), but you all immediately jump to the lowest view of the guy, assuming that he's a bully or "corrupt". Apparently, being free also means to be able to work in a demanding job like that while being free of any shred of intelligence and knowledge - well, not surprising that a nation that wilfully handed the nuclear codes to an orange buffoon also allows similar incapable beings to have any kind of authority. You see, other countries have different problems, and the job of police officer is certainly less stressful in some ways if you don‘t have to expect (for instance) that any random citizen pulls a gun on you at a standard traffic stop. But also, many other countries have strict regulations for the education of law enforcement officers - take Germany, where an entry level police officer must have undergone about 3 years of dual apprenticeship (dual meaning professional school and on the job training, I believe there is the term _alternace,_ isn‘t there?). Police Officer should be (and _is_ in most countries, as described by the example of Germany above) a recognised occupation _requiring formal training,_ not something you can qualify for by attending a six week crash course like in some US jurisdictions.
Officer Michael exemplifies the epitome of professionalism and compassion in law enforcement. His conduct should not only be recognized but also rewarded with a promotion. $10 says Farr wasn't accepted into the police academy, couldn't cut it, or got fired from a police department, so he applied for the next best thing. Thank God this dude ain't a cop.
I’d up that bet to a thousand.
I agree. Most that act like Farr here usually couldn't become a cop, so they took whatever power they could. You know if he was a cop, he would have probably killed someone by now. At the very least, he would have violated rights and cost tax payers tens of thousands of dollars if not more, in lawsuits.
100% the case..

@@redtiger7268I saw that clip. That delusional security officer pulled that stunt on a cop so can you imagine what he's done to his fellow civilians?

Officer Michael deserves an S+, that was hands down the BEST interaction I have ever seen in hundreds of hours of audit’s. A true man to his oath and I wish nothing but the absolute best for him

Given the number of domestic enemies of the Constitution I see in both police and military uniforms in these sorts of videos, seeing a cop who does uphold the law, his duty and his oath is very refreshing. It's just a shame that it's so rare in these sorts of videos that it's actually surprising.
