Hey man great video ! I live in this area of the Coachella valley. I’m not too experience in mtb but I’m quickly falling in love with it. If I do this first section can I just turn around at the gate and go back to the start. Getting used to riding like this is important to me before venturing that far out there
Yes. You can ride this section and then climb back out. The the last part of the descent it pretty steep so likely a few hundred yards of hike-a-bike, but pretty climbable after that.
You can also pedal up the fire road that ends up a a couple hundred yards down from Pine View Rd (where you park). This is a bit safer if lots of people are coming down, but your on the road for a little. Also, there is a climb trail detour around the steep part if you do want to climb up the single track.
In as much as I would love to do this, now is not a viable time for that. The shuttle company isn't operating and I don't expect that situation to change before the Palm Canyon season ends. Add to that, the traveling out to that region being a quarantine breaker and it being a trail with a higher likelihood to get injured on, this thing is pretty much a no go for a while. As much as I want to ride this and help others do the same, right now I have to advise against doing that. If things are back to normal next season, do hit me up and we'll rip it up.
Great videos Julian. Really love what you’re doing on your channel.
Thanks!

Does anyone offer a shuttle service for this?

2:47 that's the only one I'll skip lol... no sense committing suicide in the first 10 min of a 3 hour ride!
Even if I was more of a jumper, I'd still skip some of these for the same reason. Might as well save death for the exit cliffs.
