I am a 75 year old mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Instead of sitting alone watching mindless movies on TV at night, I have been watching your unbelievable beautiful creations. Thank you so much for making my life so much brighter!!! Keep creating, as the world needs more beauty and lovely people like you!!!
Love the way your creation turned out Jim! I'm a nurse, & when I'm at work & get overwhelmed, I just set & watch your videos just for some easing of the mind. Thank you for that! Most other channels are fake & mindless. This channel is creativeness & teaching as well. Designer Epoxy
My Dad purchased a One way Sit Down Lathe for the Senior Community he lived at. When he passes away, the lathe was donated to the workshop at the senior community center so that others in wheelchairs could enjoy the wood turning hobby..
I'm a 57year old lady doctor from India. I don't have much spare time but I find your videos very calming and relaxing. My sons make fun of me saying I am becoming so knowledgeable watching your channel that I can switch jobs !! 😂
Me, not a woodworker, sitting on my couch eating cheezits: "Psh, amateurs. Don't even know what pith is..." Anyway, LOVE these branch pieces, they are SO groovy. Absolutely glorious. Everything from the shape, the color, the choices of the wood pieces, no notes.
Tip number 49 from "Woodturning for People Over a Certain Age:" CHAIRS! So true. So very, very true. Jim, I love this piece! I love how the cherry branches look like they're being stretched and being pulled in the direction of the curves of the hollow form. Very organic with great movement and color! And in the words of almost any great Chinese philosopher you could choose: "None of us are as young as we used to be, grasshopper."
Good morning from Australia, although it's very early morning (12:45am) so coffee and biscuits for me 😄. Thanks for showing a more in depth look at your captive system. Very interesting and this hollow form is going to look sweet.
Love this one! Ignore the blue haters, the blues are my favorite pieces, especially the sea cave. I also love the collars on your hollow forms. Thanks again for all of the info. And designer epoxy. Cheers!
Watching your channel from 🇦🇺. Don't take this the wrong way, Jim, but I love watching your work before going to sleep - it's so relaxing and induces the calmness I need instead of mindless scrolling or watching TV. Love your creativity and your allowing the materials to "speak" to you.
Jim, if this doesn't draw in subscribers, I don't know what will. This piece is absolutely gorgeous. Simple but so elegant and spectacular. And the shop looks fantastic too!
I love the blue with the different branches and the shape of the hollow form! Your shop looks amazing and I bet having it cleaned up and organized makes working in it much easier and more efficient!
I really loved this piece Jim, & of course blues, purples & hyper-shift pigments are my favourite colours. When you put Dwayne or Baby Dwayne’s on the top to keep the wood from rising, could this be when the tops of the sticks absorb more of the resin colour (when it is in the vacuum pot)? Could this be causing the extra colour absorption on some of the top of the branches? Just a thought, I only know what I have learned from watching your channel. Anyway, another great video! Hope the house sells quickly for you & your wife. 🖖🏽
No, I don’t think so, most of the branches remained submerged in the resin except for the three that escaped. We hope the house sells quickly too, lol. Thanks
Cleaning the shop for pictures should also help when you have to pack it up to move. You've got a head start. I'm only a little way into the video but the thumbnail looks gorgeous; excited to see more.
OoooooooooOOOOOH! SO GOOD! I adore this look, I love the branches, the colour combo, the collar, the shape, the contrast of the thicker and thinner pieces of wood in different species and hue, EVERYTHING is gorgeous! I can only offer gushing praise this week Jim, I'm pretty tired so I don't have any interesting questions or observations to offer, but yes, this piece is just beautiful! Thank you!
Love that classic shape. It always reminds me of a ginger jar. That blue and silver at the top is stunning. I think that would be a beautiful color choice for a giveaway. If you try tis again try it in the deepest green you can get and mix it with the silver.I have to put this one in my top ten. Excellence and artistic vision achieved once again.👍
As someone who can't stand and had assumed that meant that I couldn't do woodworking, thank you for telling us about the sit down lathe! It's nice when ppl include disabled ppl. It doesn't happen enough. I also love this piece. I think the things you do with branches are always interesting. Burl is beautiful in person but it is much more difficult to see the details of through the internet.
Wow what a awesome looking hollow form. Love the wood you used and they way it looks. Very nice job. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend and week. Until the next one be blessed
This is a gorgeous pie Jim. The resin is mixed as perfectly as it gets. Great color, plenty of shimmer. The shape of this piece is dead on. Super job Jim. Designer Epoxy
Absolutely brilliant, Jim. Although I prefer reds and blacks for epoxy, you hit another homerun with the Rainbow Blue. I am not a turner, I remodel homes and am a USAF vet. Thank you for your service for your country. Thank you for your voice overs. Other channels just can't compare
Hi Jim You workshop looks good for the property sale. The hollowform is beautiful & I agree with you that it is one of the best pieces you have made, although you seem to have a nake to out do yourself every week. Looking directly down on it, it looks like a flower .& the centre of the flower is so precise place to where the opening is! Blue is my favourite colour, so I am half sold on any piece by its blue colour. It's good that you go over teachable moments -I learnt something new too. Thanks
Good morning Jim! Yet again another beauty being made before my eyes. You work so hard...while I drink my coffee. Love the blue and ALL THAT WOOD! See you next week. Have a great one!
Jim, an awesome turning! The combination of the wood species and size of branches with the oval and oblong shapes looks great! I will look forward to seeing more in the future. Designer epoxy
Designer Epoxy ❤❤ Absolutely love this piece ❤, I think it's my favorite piece so far. Would love to see a piece made from walnut wood, Ash, hyper shift, and resin ❤.!! Absolutely gorgeous Jim ❤️!!
I just LOVE how you took some branches from outside and turned them into a "Bring nature inside" piece. Just like the pinecones one you did maybe a year ago. I wonder how a piece would turn out using lots of SHELLS in the design of a future project. Designer Epoxy
I'm slowly making my way back in watching all your videos, but I'd have to say this is your best project. Bottom is a little long for me and would love to buy, but based on previous estimation on prices I so can't afford. US Disabled Vet and can't wait till I get my workshop back to get back to turning. Driving me up the wall not having a workshop at my current property.
Good morning Jim, so much for the shop staying clean, lol. Thanks for sharing tips on the cutter, great job explaining the process. Gorgeous piece, as usual. I agree, it's very, very cool. Keep on turning!!! Beautiful pen, lucky guy. Designer epoxy (p.s. still pushing through the commercials on all your videos)
That's a stunning object. I didn't know how the silver top would work. I'm glad you sacrificed most of the silver to make an overall great piece. Love it! ❤️
I love how every week you manage to make another favorite. So happy you took the silver it really was seperate from the rest. The piece is so balanced without it.
A masterpiece from you and Designer Epoxy I love the rainbow blue and its contrast with the wood and I like the different sizes of wood to break up monotony i much prefer the round wood to the squared off edges it gives for a more natural look. your branch bowls and turnings are my favorites.
In my view, this is the most stunning, outstanding piece I've seen you do. The colour just POPS! The elongated branches remind me of Edvard Munch's The Scream 💙💙💙🇬🇧
Wow, that is beautiful Jim! All of the shapes that you get from cutting the branches in different directions … so cool!! I am 70 and love watching these beautiful pieces emerge from the resin and woods.
I think it is so funny how many older ladies find this channel fascinating, and I am one of them.
Hi everyone . I'm 50 y.o. italian girl and I really love your creations. Thank you for sharing❤
Ditto from all us seasoned citizens that love watching your channel. Hands down, way better than tv
Love the way your creation turned out Jim!

Nursing is one of the toughest jobs on the planet! Thank you for doing this physical and mentally demanding job!
My Dad purchased a One way Sit Down Lathe for the Senior Community he lived at. When he passes away, the lathe was donated to the workshop at the senior community center so that others in wheelchairs could enjoy the wood turning hobby..
Such a great idea. Thank you.
This was awesome of him to do that! Sorry for your loss! Thanks for watching!
The most beautiful by far! I’m so jealous of its eventual owner.
You are so kindly!
I'm a 57year old lady doctor from India. I don't have much spare time but I find your videos very calming and relaxing. My sons make fun of me saying I am becoming so knowledgeable watching your channel that I can switch jobs !! 😂
Wonderful! Thank you very much!
A provocative piece from any angle, with a life of it's own. Love it.

That's a typical man's mind set lol

Great, thanks for watching!

You workshop looks good for the property sale.
The hollowform is beautiful & I agree with you that it is one of the best pieces you have made, although you seem to have a nake to out do yourself
