- Hello everybody we'd like you all to just sit back and relax and take a listen to what our brother John is up to. He has a lot going on and he took the time out in his busy schedule to visit with us and catch us up on everything. We have "Global" coming out and John is with us on that project so he's got a lot happening since he left the Beach Boys

As always, watching the Cows, seeing that DNA not just physical, but that way of interacting, the mix of having fun and putting together the pieces history of the family history, making some kind of sense of it after the fact. And the way that music was the constant buoy and joy, over all of the years. And the switch to total professionalism, the shift in the facial expressions starting at around the 19 minute mark, talking about the label and John's new project.
Watching these is always great, at 68, appreciating the jokes about getting older, bruises from hitting something made of cotton. It's kind of like getting to visit the cool cousins that you got to hang out with every few years. Whose parents were messed up in a way a lot like yours.

So much fun! I’m a 58 year old grandma who plays drums because of John Cowsill!🎉 I rediscovered the Cowsills after seeing them on Huckabee. I thoroughly enjoy these podcasts! Hey I saw a video from back in the day of ya’ll singing Mr Postman, Barry in lead. You all had on some gnarly outfits! Paul! You were totally rockin’ the orange ruffles!😅 Ya’ll should get some nostalgic outfits!🎉❤
Twenty Years After the Fire, songs by Bill and Barry...so great. Thanks for the mention of the link to Vicky and John's website - just followed up on the site. The whole thing about John playing with the rest of the Cowsills...wondering if the last time you all played together (with Barry) was for Bill's benefit concert. (That Going Home concert clip is great.) I'm sure this has been asked before - and maybe you have done it before, but it would be great to see a current line-up of Bob, Paul, John and Susan doing some of your (original? ) songs together, even just to put up here on the podcast, like in one of the COVID remote concerts that various combinations of musicians did. Or a house concert type thing. That would be great, for a lot of reasons. You could post even just one the songs here on the TH-cam channel with one of those donation $ thank you buttons so people could express their appreciation.

A concert of Global songs would be a dream come true for me. That's why the TORI 2000 show is such a great set.
Much good vibes to John and Vicki's music venue. You have shown how hard it is to work in the music industry.
Not sure a box set would be the way to go (though I would definitely buy it in a heartbeat), but maybe a double CD set with deep cuts/mono mixes. I'd call it Some Good Years: The Best Of The Cowsills.

You could do the global on a zoom concert. Sell concert shirts. Todd Rundgren did it during Covid and it worked.😊

Being exposed to 8 hrs of second-hand smoke is equivalent to smoking 6 cigarettes a day. Locked in a room with two smokers probably makes it 12 cigarettes a day, if not more.
“Long after the fire” Is a perfect title… nice nod to Bill it’s from his song “The embers”. Can’t WAIT for this album.
Curious..... did any of you (other than Bill) end up smoking as adults? I have friends who's parents smoked and either the children started young, or they hated smoking.
That's me. My Dad smoked "Like a Freight Train." I hated smelling like cigarette smoke. So I never smoked. When Dad was 50 yrs old he had a major stroke.
Back in the day when cigarettes cost 35 cents a pack out of a vending machine.
