You touch it, and it falls apart Iv rebuilt Cat, Detroit Cummins Have yet to attempt a transmission Having trouble getting past the shock of taking the top off You are a true master
Un saludo desde Colombia......muy bien por el vídeo.....gracias por compartir tus conocimientos, nos ayudan a los que estamos empezando en la labor de la transmisión EATON FULLER
I've got a RTOCM16909A (IDK what the M stands for. I can't read the tag, this is what Peterbilt says the truck came with). Has the same jump out problem and I'm sure the slider looks the same as this one. It stays in gear only under a load... let off the go pedal and it jumps out. 3rd - 9/10th gear (forward and to the right). Waiting on my mechanic to say he can do it and I'll pull and bring the transmission to him.
i do clutch install kits all the time haven't gotten the chance to rebuild a full transmission as yet , its not something my shop really does but id love to one day loving the content keep up the good work . id like it if you didn't fast forward through any of the parts were all probly here to learn anyway we might as well see the entire thing . thanks again
Thanks for the comment Candied I will definitely try to keep it all together without the fast forwarding in future vids. Thanks for the comment and the feedback 👍
Any videos on 18 speed transmissions? The one I drive at work like to pop out of 17th. It also have a vibration that comes and goes but only in 17th and 18th gears.
These videos are pure gold. Being a fleet tech I do not get the opportunity to dive into much transmission work so seeing the breakdown and rebuild process has been a great learning experience. Do you guys ever rebuild any of the automated Eaton transmissions such as the endurant or the advantage?
Hey I got a super ten Eaton rtlo with the oil coolant in and out ports plugged up with a some nuts due to the lines breaking and leaking oil everywhere. Is it ok to run the trans with the oil coolant ports plugged or would this cause damage to the small internal pump? Is it even necessary iv seen some trans that don’t have the ports from factory .
There all going to have a little play up and down don’t have an exact measurement for you all I can tell you is the bearing will have play in it which is amplified at the end of the input shaft. It’s probably around 120 thousands
The mechanic truly knows what he is doing. Great content!!

@@etrtruckcenterenginedrivet8918 you could try actually answering the questions people ask you instead of writing / pasting generic responses.
Explain what the parts are and their function when disassembling

I’ve seen them blocked off like that quite often. I would recommend just making a small hose loop to connect the two ports together.
How many have you torn down? Looks like thousands!
How much input shaft play should one of these have?

Thank you 😊
What about gauges being fixed in a 1987 Kenworth
I’m sorry I don’t understand the question
Why is it jumping out of gear
