Access to every finals performance since 74'?!?! That's astonishing. This is a great thing. This is a great series planned. Pausing and expanding on judging comments or things they missed that catches your eye is just fine.
16:12 when the drumline just calmly brings their sticks down. THAT is hype. It's like Barry Sanders just handing the ball to the referee. You know you nailed it.
My all-time favorite line as well! I learned most of the snare book from a guy who marched that year and still TRY and play along to this day. That line and show is EPIC
This show and percussion still makes me so happy after all these years. If I could choose any year to march Cavaliers this year is at the top of my list. Everything about the show and swagger defines The Cavaliers in my mind.
I remember seeing these guys early season and the uniformity in technique and quality was unprecedented at that time. They dumbed down parts of the modulated rolls as the book was meatier and harder early in the season. That said, insane quality and technique, far and away best percussion section all year. They tied cadets overall on finals and the two encore performances were like nothing I would ever see again. Certainly a moment in time.
Can't wait for the finals tapes to come out! So many great groups that aren't currently on TH-cam. This year of drum corps was magical. Great podcast, as always.
I don't know where you found all the judges tapes for all that stuff but you guys just became my heroes! LETS DO IT!! There are so many 90s lines I wanted to hear tapes from and haven't heard hardly anything.
@@rspeck Right, but only for a few years like 2002-2004 I think. I'm just glad the tapes still exist and someone has them cause some of the recordings from the 90s sounded like garbage but the scores were decent. This will be interesting!
First off, THANKS A BUNCH!! I have a few requests and this is coming from someone who has quite a collection, these are ones I have not heard from Finals!! BD 1994 Cadets 1990 Phantom 2008 (a must!!) SCV 1991 Cavies 1995 BK 2000 Crown 2000 Bluecoats 2022 SCV 2016-18 Crossmen 1991 Phantom Regiment 1993 and 96
Holy flashback to my VHS of these finals recorded off PBS. Freshman year. Hooked since. Can’t wait to see all these old shows with judges tapes! I always wondered…
Some of best drill of all time, I would love more drill but at the same time for every good cavaliers show people reference for why there is more drill I feel their was 6-10 groups of eh drill lmao
Would love to see you guys react to the 97 BD judge tape (Charlie Poole) from Allentown. Some of the best judge commentary ever 😂 “tight as a cat’s butt”.
I don’t have the judge tapes for either of those. But we did do reactions to the overall shows th-cam.com/video/QNePlAxUdtw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9XDcxh_t7tMWDUhz th-cam.com/video/WmllAEwqSN8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nDs83ND2sQiLRsCc

My all-time favorite drumline! Got to march next to Spicer (Cavie quads 98-00) freshman year at college in fall '00

2000 Cavaliers has always been my favorite show! Had some friends on that line. Great writing, clean clean clean!

We have a ton we’ll be dubbing over like this and uploading in the coming weeks etc…until indoor gets rolling.

They were one of the options they used to include on the DVDs.

Love seeing this Time Machine for the iconic groups I never got to see live. Great job as always and can’t wait to see the rest of the series!

It kills me that the judge didn’t say anything about that absolutely fucking insane snare phrase during the pod movement.
Very cool video :). I played snare in this line- thanks for the content!
They tied with Cadets for the gold medal that year
Marched Snare with Kiwanis that Year. Was always a pleasure to see Cavies. Jaw Dropping all the Way!
I miss drill like this!!!!
Same
I’d love to hear Phantom ‘06. By far my favorite percussion book, both battery and front ensemble.
I have semis and finals from that show! Will throw it up at some point!
Man I’d love to hear 2014 cavaliers. I was on the snare line that year and I never got to hear the finals tape!!
Some of best drill of all time, I would love more drill but at the same time for every good cavaliers show people reference for why there is more drill I feel their was 6-10 groups of eh drill lmao
If you can find the Crown 08 tape that would be great. I was in that line and never heard the tape. It would be cool to hear.
What if they found a Surf 04 tape?! 😂
That tape was so hot it probably spontaneously combusted@@chrisgaray87.
Pretty cool. The semis tape is way more entertaining though lol. Especially the judges excited noises.

I think this might be David Starnes and not Jeff Prosperie.
Would love to hear a Cavaliers '02 or '03 judge tape!
I have the 2003 tape.
no rush but that would be amazing to hear@@agedoutpodcast
For the algorithm. ✊
Y’all need to do scv 2003
Crown 2019 judge reaction
JSU representing!!!
Enjoy those cake recipes😉
A second attempt to get a reaction (reactions) on 1987 Garfield and SCV.
I don’t have the judge tapes for either of those. But we did do reactions to the overall shows
